I don't know whether it's because one wants to eat or chew to clear their ears or throat, or because you can't taste anything, or what. But d--n, of all the times for this to happen when I agreed with Aunt S to do boot camp. Grrrrr. Just devoured 2 cups of homemade 0/0/0 jello (including 0 taste) and think I'll go make 2 more. Or maybe 4. :o

It will be great for all of us to have the support from each other on here. I think I remember a saying "strength comes in numbers".

Hope you are feeling better soon, not fun being sick. I saw somewhere else a suggestion of oil of oregano for colds, I have never tried it myself. Good luck also with your injuries from the accident s well.Hows the puppy and Andy doing?

Well, as 2Ride pointed out, I've had my 3-in-a-row. So things should be looking up soon. The pup's doing fine, asleep on the sofa with legs akimbo exposing his sadly shaved tum, and Andy's holding on. He was really the puppy's nurse more than I was.

Hey Elissa. You might want to go to the 100% thread, #188. and read about doing boot camp and restricteds.

Last week I bought some shake mix, protein hydroxycut stuff... and I am not sure if it works or not. And restarting is really hard, especially with no products to use.... I have just been trying to keep on without products and just with the salads, veggies and protein (eggs and meats).... but it is not working.....I am not seeing any change in the scale.

So my question to you all, who have restarted or use alternative items... any suggestions for this newbie? My niece was also on IP in Winnipeg (I am in the Ottawa valley Ontario) and she has done well, but moved back home here to ontario and she is in the same boat I am.... she likes the pre-made choc drink from IP... and she can not find something similar..... I am partial to the choc drink powder mix, the jello, and a few of the soups... and maybe the cappuccino drink :)

any suggestions for pre-made drinks or alternative products for this chick restarting would be much appreciated!

ps - where do I get a ticker like that! :)

Hi Jenn, I order Protidiet and Protithin products as well. I order from Nashua Nutrition because I like specific things that proteinwell.ca tends to not have. Also, costco has Premier Protein ready to drink shakes that are great and Detour bars that are higher in calories than Ip bars, but work in a pinch. I have gone weeks with only 1 egg + 2 eggs whites for breakfast, a Detour bar for lunch, and a Premier Protein shake for a snack and lost well. Ordering other products just adds variety ;) Good luck! It can be done!

I have been stalled for the last few weeks. I have been gaining and loosing the same 1.5-2lbs each week. One week it goes up the next week it comes down but nothing else happens. I dont know what to do

Mkssweetie 01-27-2012 04:52 PM

welcome Jen. I have tried the eas shakes from walmart too. i like chocolate, vanilla and strawberry flavors. they are better cold. That brand makes a regular version so make sure you look for the carb control version. This is a great place to be. Everyone is very supportive of each other. Today is my day 2 back op 100%. not easy but we can do it and will conqher our weight issues!:D

Do you have a coach that weighs you in? When I restarted on Jan 6tth mine said that if I stalled there is a cleanse that can be tried and can help get you going again (not trying to be funny here:o just noticed how it sounds). I had a hard time last january with the same thing and can say that I gave up and gained over 20 pounds back. I am now trying again and really wish I had not quit back then! That being said, please dont follow in my footsteps. Don't get discouraged. Maybe add some light exercise to your day? Maybe really look at the total carbs you are taking in from the ip packets. some have higher carbs than others and can add up. I am just throwing out ideas. Maybe up your water intake? All I know is that you WILL get through this and there are lots of experience people here that can really help! DON'T GIVE UP!

Way to go Mom3LoveBugs!!
I realized after reading your post that I am 2 pounds myself from 80 pounds lost from my highest weight. It is hard for myself also to believe the change both physically and mentally that has happened to me. I am so happy I found IP and 3FC. Thanks also for your information on alternatives, I am looking to try some to keep the costs down and also buying some online and will have to go to the site you mentioned.
thank you 2001weightbegone and congrats to you... you have done amazing in one year!! :carrot:

Me too! Nursing school is kind of stressful. I need alternatives because it is getting very expensive. I just get back on course a son as I have fallen off the horse!

I began IP Oct 3 2011 with a starting weight of 157 pounds.
I lost 10 pounds in my first month and seen 145 (I took a picture of my scale!!!)
however by mid November the place where I was getting my IP stopped stocking the food, so I was done.
In my city the next closest location was 3hrs away which was not going to happen. SO... I stopped IP, and gained 3 pounds and have been hovering 3-5 pounds all thru December till now. So current weigh in is 148.....
I have a physical appointment March 23rd and I want to go into the docs office and weigh in at 130-135 so I have about 12-15 pounds to go.... I am 36 and mom of 2 hockey teens and a step mom to a 4yr old princess :)

i find the easiest way to get alternatives in Canada is from proteinwell.ca
There is free shipping if you spend &100. The protidiet products are very similiar to IP products.
