3 things I want to do....

Going to try to get some thoughts as to what everyone wants to do when they lose their weight or some thoughts that keep you motivated.....

1. Shop at a regular store not plus size
2. Fly somewhere and be comfortable in my seat
3. For my hip to stop hurting, the more I lose the less it hurts :)

mamarenee 10-04-2011 04:18 PM

I would like to look in the mirror and LOVE what I see
I would love to look awesome in a pair of jeans and be comfortable too.
I would love to not feel ashamed by how I look.

Wayward 10-04-2011 04:21 PM

1. Be able to buy clothing and motorcycle gear without going XXXL - done
2. Agree with Wuv be able to fly without being too big for the seat, find out in December
3. Feel confident in myself and the way I look and able to be much more active with my growing son - working on it.

Aunt Sheshie 10-04-2011 04:54 PM

This was fun to think about...

1. Be confident wearing a sleek swimsuit on the beach or on a cruise.
2. Be able to run a mile or three without collapsing.
3. Look good nekkid... *blush* :o ... even if it's just me looking...

hugs

chazma 10-04-2011 05:19 PM

1:wear a little black dress.
2:go to a waterpark and go on every slide.
3:got to one of those tree top obtacle course things without worrying i will snap the cord and plummet to my death..

2RIDEROLLERCOAST 10-04-2011 05:26 PM

Had to think about this...
3. to fit into my sister's clothes (use to as a teen, sad thing is she still has some of those clothes so I did a test drive last time I was at her place)
2. to look good "naked" thanks Auntie for this one...
1. Of course.... To be able to fit on any rollercoast without the attendant looking at me and say wait we have a special car for you!... Love rollercoasts and can now ride them without this.

YvetteSki 10-04-2011 06:34 PM

1. Sit in an airplane seat and not worry about my buldge touching the person beside me - accomplished!! woo hoo!!
2. Feel comfortable in a bathing suit.
3. Go dancing with my hubby looking and feeling great.

Y Guy 10-04-2011 06:47 PM

1 Not feel like I have to tuck my shirt in to hide my gut
2 Look at a photo of me and not say "that's not who I am"
3 Take all my 2XL shirts & stretch pants to Goodwill

DanafromAustin 10-04-2011 06:49 PM

1. I want to go kayaking with my family.
2. Fit comfortably in an airline seat with lots of room left in the seat belt.
3. shop, shop, shop (and not in the large size department)

free1 10-04-2011 07:00 PM

1. Be the hottest wife in the room (and then go dancing with my hubby)
2. Go horeseback riding (most places have a 250 weight limit)
3. Wear an outfit with a belt and my shirt tucked in

Ryuu 10-04-2011 07:02 PM

There are so many, I dont know which to choose

1. Look in the mirror or see a picture of myself and not be shocked at what I see. I want the reflection of myself to match my inner self image.

2. I want to fit comfortably into seats at theatres, roller coasters, planes etc.

3. I want stamina, to be able to run with the kids, ride my bike for miles.

lastly I want to be attractive, not "OMG, look at that fat girl." This one is a biggie because it is what I have heard my whole life as I have been overweight for as long as I can remember. #1 is big also because I am continuously shocked when I look into the mirror thinking to myself "that can't be me" as that is not how I see myself. Anyone else feel like that?

frazzledmom04 10-04-2011 07:14 PM

1. Be able to run around with my kids instead of being too tired from running for 5 minutes.

2 Be able to shop in the regular clothes section

3. Love having my husband look at me instead of cringing inside when he does.

sandyh50 10-04-2011 09:54 PM

My #1 is to lose the weight and reduce the pressure on my knees. I would like to put off knee replacement surgery. Unfortunately, I still have pain and take IBprophen.

#2 Is to fit in to all the smaller size clothing that I have in my closets from losing 105 pounds in 2001 and keeping most of it off until this last year when I quit walking and exercising due to my osteoarthritis.

#3 To like what I see when I have my picture taken. The pictures taken on vacation are what really motivated me to start IP immediatley after vacation even with company coming!

Please...don't ever be ashamed of being over weight:hug: This made me sad.

My three things:

1. Not have my belly roll over the top of my jeans.
2. Be happy with my body.
3. Stay at my goal after I reach it. This is my favorite one.

Dee2 10-04-2011 10:48 PM

I agree ....I like this thread. Good idea!
1. look at pictures and say "yeah, that's me" not "OMG!! Who has seen these before I did?? Destroy!"
2. Shop at Lululemon and pick out whatever I want and not be embarrassed that it doesn't come in "my size"
3. Being able to maintain effectively and permanently!!

Mizzthingaling 10-05-2011 01:03 AM

1. Accomplish something that has been evading me for years
2. Skydive
3. Not have to wear a girdle to hide my stomach.

ItsAboutTime 10-05-2011 08:15 AM

1. Look great no matter what I pull out of the closet.
2. Be able to go to the water park and pool with my kids without sitting on the bench covered up because I'm feeling super uncomfortable in a suit.
3. Be able to finally keep it off and not have to ever have over 5 pounds to lose again!

alexandallismom 10-05-2011 08:27 AM

1- shop in the mall, not just the plus size stores.
2- have a breast reduction/lift
3- fit in a plane seat comfortably

I never hid from a bathing suit, I wore them and did not cover up, but I would like to look good in it from now on:)

SimplyMe 214 10-05-2011 08:34 AM

I want to-
1. Be able to go to the amusement park and ride every single damned ride there! without worrying if I will fit or not

2. Buy clothes I love, and not have to pass them up because I can't fit them

3. Be able to go clubs with my friends, without feeling like a leprous- beached whale

sandralosingweight 10-05-2011 08:39 AM

Make wild love to my husband without thinking that he sure would like it better if I was not overweight.

Become a mother (my biggest dream of all).

Wear a triangle shaped bikini top (never did that in my entire life).

Paint Lady 10-05-2011 08:48 AM

1. Fit back into my old saddle comfortably.
2. Be recognizeable to the people I went to high school with.
3. Enjoy my family time more. This is a very broad area. Vacations, sports with the kids, quality time with the husband, playing with the kids. Not feeling inferior to the "stepford wives" I see at the schools.

Sherwood 10-05-2011 08:50 AM

1. Keep eating healthy to maintain my loss
2. Exercise for flexibility
3. Already don't shop in Plus Size stores & fit in airplane seats - what a feeling!!!!

Fabulous idea Wuv - you're amazing!!!

Katie8810 10-05-2011 09:18 AM

1. Not be imbarassed to hang out with with my boyfriend's friends - I feel too big to fit in compared to all the other girlfriends.
2. Not hate my reflection in the mirror
3. Not be the chubby loser sister; want my brothers to be proud that I'm their sister.

kelly1962 10-05-2011 09:22 AM

1. Be able to wear a bathing suit and feel good in it. I am so tired of getting up and walking to the water for a swim and wonder what everyone is thinking of what i look like

2. Stop shopping in plus size stores.....

3. Feel great about my body and my health.

Have to say Sandra.......good for you..... that one made me smile
The first part of it obviously, it's not like us bigger men don't have the same idea, it's just nice to see it the other way once in awhile.

Well... what can I tell you... male or female, we are human beings after all and we all have the same feelings I guess.

I have the fittest person in the universe as a husband, I mean, I swear if I put him under the microscope, I would not be able to find an ounce of fat in him, he has the best body a man (and a woman) could dream of, he is an athlete, so... that being said, I feel fat all the time, but I feel super fat around him (no matter how much he calls me ''hey sexy'', in my mind, it's like ''yeah, right, I am the sexy one..., look at yourself, damn, you're like photoshopped) lol.

wuv2bloved 10-10-2011 01:42 PM

Bumping this for the newbies to add onto :)

jlewis88 10-10-2011 02:11 PM

This is a great idea for a post.

1. Feel good when i wake up every morning instead of tired on sluggish for no other reason than my own fat ***.

2. To remove worry/stress/anxiety about a history family health concerns associated with being overweight so that I can see my son grow and become the man I'm sure he will.

3. I want to see what I look like with a visible 6 pack...I have one...its just hidden under my gut but I can feel it.

JellyMae87 10-10-2011 02:34 PM

Feel good Naked..
Look HOTT in spandex and fishnets!
Have more self confidence!!

leganegan 10-10-2011 03:01 PM

1) Be excited when a group of friends want to go on the boat or to the beach. The idea of a bathing suit makes me want to cry...event after 30lbs lost!

2) Sit down and not see fat rolls.

3) Be able to maintain my weight and not need to lose more than 3 - 4lbs ever again. (21% body fat would be ideal! A little over 5% to go!)

ladyrayado 10-10-2011 05:05 PM

Here are mine:

1. Finally look like I belong in my family (both of my siblings are tiny - my sister is a professional dancer and my brother is a cyclist).
2. Stop wearing Spanx and bodyshapers everyday.
3. Look awesome in a bikini (never have).

iatejen 10-10-2011 05:22 PM

1. Run a 5K with my teenage son (and actually run the whole thing)
2. Be able to say that i hit my goal and kept it off for a year
3. Put on a bikini and a smile - in public! *GASP*

kellyg53 10-10-2011 06:42 PM

Interesting topic.

My long term goals are these:

1. Live long enough to see my grandchildren married and with children of their own - at least another 25 years or so.
2. Have enough good health and energy to keep working at what I love until I drop.
3. Be around to celebrate my 60th wedding anniversary with my lovely bride - and in good enough shape to dance the night away.

My shorter term three things:

1. Comfortably wear "square" jeans - 34 X 34; I wore them years ago.
2. Run without knee and ankle pain
3. Wear suspenders with my suits because I like the way they look and feel rather than because I have to to keep my pants up.

OneGuyonIP 10-10-2011 07:35 PM

Hi,
I want to:
(1) reach my goal weight sooner rather than later;
(2) maintain my weight at my goal once I get there;
(3) Have the confidence from knowing I took on and achieved a huge challenge.
(3.5) Not hate shopping so much.

scpnme 10-10-2011 11:03 PM

I love love love this post!!! I had such a sad day yesterday. I am single have been divorced for 4 years) and haven't really dated since. The year after our divorce I was put on an experimental medication and gained 60 lbs. I have been off the meds for a year, but unable to lose the weight until IP! With that, here are my 3...

1. Feel like I fit in again
2. Feel cute...be able to wear my sz 4 & 6 that are still in my closet
3. Best for last...BE HEALTHY...for the first time in 3+ years!!!

I love it. My husband is the same way Sandra. He works out and plays soccer 3 x a week. I want to laugh at him when he says I look great - really? Nice lie, but I know I don't.

Here are mine:
1) Be able to wear a sleeveless little black dress with C.F.M. to match.
2) I want Miss Me jeans... and maybe a pair of the ridiculously expensive ones from the Buckle that make your butt look like a toned up 18yo.
3) I want to be able to run and play with my kids... and keep up with them.

So, how did the wedding go. If I missed your saying earlier, I apologize.

jenjulia 10-11-2011 11:13 AM

1. To look good in a swimsuit and shorts when I take my kids to the pool or when we go out and about.

2. I want to be healthy role model for my kids. DH is on high bp meds, high cholestrol meds, etc...most of his family is overweight/obese. I want my kids to have a healthy role model so that they are healthy adults!!

3. I want my foot pain to go away (and it does the more I exercise!).

gettinmygrooveback 10-11-2011 11:32 AM

~Look at myself naked in the mirror every morning (without grabbing my belly flab) and being able to say 'Yeah, you right!"
~Have a flat, muscular and toned abdomen. Even though I had a c-section 24 years ago, I do believe it's still possible. I will wear that bikini once again.
~Never have a negative body image issue ever again. Be accepting of compliments and understand that people are truly sincere with their words.

jmonreal 10-11-2011 11:41 AM

1. Wear a bathing suit (never worn one before)
2. Go to a water park (never been to one for fear of wearing bathing suit)
3. Run a half-marathon and one day a marathon

I love this thread!! It helped me put this whole plan into perspective...:carrot:
