Hi! I'm Stephanie and I just started IP last Thursday and Im already down 8 pounds! 53 to go ! I'm loving the program so far but have quite a few questions...I've browsed through threads and have found alot of useful info, thanks to all that post!!
Hi, my name is Christyne, i’m 37 engaged but want to get to my goal weight before getting married. We are a blended family and between the 2 of us we have 4 kids (3 me 1 him) 14, 12, 10 and 9 as well as my mom living with us, 1 dog and 4 cats…it’s a busy household, lol.
I started IP on August first and have lost 18lbs so far.
I’m scheduled for weight loss surgery this winter so this is my last resort diet (and if I get below 235lbs, I won’t even be eligible anymore). So everyone is very supportive of me doing this diet as they don’t want me to get the surgery).
So far I love IP, I find it quite easy, the food is good and not really hungry.

Here are a few of my questions...
Can I have: Crystal Light? Pickles? Olive Oil?
Thanks!!!
Hi,
You can't have anything with Aspartame,
Pickles, it all depends on how they are pickled, if it is with water, vinegar and salt, yes, it they contain sugar, no, you have to read the ingredients.
Olive oil, most definitely, you should have 1 to 2 tsp of olive oil everyday.
My name is Aimee. I'm 30 years old, and am the Mom to two beautiful little girls, ages 3 1/2 and 2 1/2. I am a Registered Nurse and I work part time.
My mom and I have decided to do IP together after having couple of friends have amazing success on the program. Today was day 1, and I feel a bit sluggish but not too bad! Excited to have the support of this forum!

There are some crystal light to go made with splenda, I have seen a few people say that they are using Nesta stix, I have never seen them but I think they are in Canada.
Make sure you get the EVOO(extra virgin olive oil)
Yes you can have pickles just read your labels. Here in the states well down south that is have a company called Mt. Olive and there is sweet gerhkins, bread and butter, and sweet relish made with splenda.
Congrats on the 8lbs so far, 53 is not far to go at all!!
Hi from northern Alberta!
Did a lot of research before jumping into IP, thought it was some kind of dangerous fad diet when I first heard about it, but in this day n" age it is so easy to find out (and sift through) information online. Finding this sight really was what pushed me to go for it - so Thanks Everyone!
My first week OP and have been finding it pretty easy so far. Strict yes, but simple to follow. Had my first weigh in yesterday afternoon and was down 5.5 lbs, so far so good right!
I am a big water drinker and I love my veggies so I haven't felt too deprived yet - other than missing that big ol' glass of red wine after dinner! Love some of the drink packages, hate all the soups! Having lots of fun with all the recepies people have posted.
Looking forward to my second week!

Hello Jewels and welcome to the forums. Great success on your first week, keep up the good work.
I personally don't like any of the soups either but there are so many other products that I really don't think I'll miss not having the soups. I tried using them as 'gravy' still no go. I'm glad that I had them in my starter kit so that I didn't buy an entire box of soup.
Hi, my name is Shawna. I started IP Aug 12, 2011. I work for a Bank and my goal is to get back into my closet FULL of size 8/10 clothes. I got married to my DH March 2007, we started trying to get pregnant (unsuccessfully) and the meds caused a 8 lb water gain in 3 days. I was so bummed, the Dr said it would all go away in 3 weeks..well by the time the 3 weeks was up I not only had kept the 8lbs I added more . I have tried a few different diets/plans in the last few years...DH thinks I am always on a diet. I have 3 friends who have done IP in the last year and lost 70/50 and 50 lbs..that was encouraging. So here I am, down 5lbs at my first WI.
Thank you all for sharing, I read the posts often to keep me fired up!

Welcome, if you are still trying to have a baby, this may work in your favor. Jordanna has and IP baby if I am not mistaking. Your hormones are way different on this diet than normal. Great job on your first WI, keep up the awesome job!

Thank you wuv, you are always so encouraging! I was on the edge of too old then and now am really too, old. I am ok with it today, it is a God job. Right this minute my only worry is if I can stay OP one day at a time.

You can definitely do this, one day at a time. That is all you can do, take each day in stride. No need to stress about it. You are NOT too old for anything, free your mind and open it to options and experimenting! You still have A LOT to learn!!
Hello. I'm starting IP on September 7th after we get back from our family vacation. I have never been what one would call skinny, but I have really let myself go over the past few years and have managed to hit 310lbs.
I am very happy to have found this forum and it is very encouraging to read about other members success stories! I am looking forward to posting my own in the coming months!
