Hi fellow Saskatchewan-ites! Glad to know that there are others in the area on the IP plan. Can't believe that they got snow in the south of the province yesterday! Spring just won't come!
Hope everyone is having a good day!
I'm also from Regina, I don't know if I've seen anyone else from Regina on here yet. I started IP 3.5 weeks ago. Found it rough the first week but have been pretty good since then. No cheats yet. Which clinic are you going to?
Good luck with the program. This site is amazing for motivation, encouragement and info.

Hi Kami!
I think I know your mother-in-law My mom and her are good friends in Weyburn and it came up in conversion this week that you were doing this diet! I didn't ever think that I would find you on here --- too cool! This site is pretty darn amazing.
I'm going to the Medicine Shoppe in the East --- Allana I believe. And you, which clinic are you going to?
I started on Tuesday and I hear ya about the first week being a little rough! Good job to you for not cheating yet! It shows with your results! I'm hoping I can hang in there for the long haul too...
Hello all fellow Saskies! I'm another local - small town girl in Sask! I've recently re-started IP after being on a leave from the protocol for about 3 months! So happy to be back on and loving how it makes me feel! Glad to see you all!

What a small world! Are you related to Kelly Klein? My husband (Craig) use to curl with him.
My coach is Adelle, the clinic is in the Avonhurst mall (by Giant Tiger). Sometimes it is so tempting to just give in to the cravings, but the reason I started this program was to lose weight fast. I don't have a problem maintaining my current weight, it just seemed like it was taking forever for me to get off the last 20-30 lbs. The sooner I am done the first couple phases of this, the sooner I can get back to enjoying the foods I am missing, in moderation of course. Oh, and another big motivater to stay on track...reminding myself how much I have spent on this!!

(Okay...I swear I replied back to this, but it's not showing up so if it's on here twice sorry!)
It is a small world! My older brother is Kelly.
I didn't realize that there were more coaches in Regina. To be honest I hadn't heard about IP at all until 2 weeks ago when a gal I work with introduced my to her friend, my now coach. I am also looking to lose weight fast. I've gained 25 pounds this past year, having never gained only lost weight before. I know that I have the tools to maintain the weight, but needed a swift kick in the butt to get the start on the losing weight. I am heading to the Maritimes June 16th, so I hope that I can be close to my goal (fingers crossed) or else jump right back on after I get back. The money-factor is a definate motivator for me as well!
Do you min if I ask you a couple of questions? What are your thoughts on the exercise front? Are you still working out, but at less intensity or adding in IP packets? I'm torn on this...Have you found any great recipes? Have you tried the WF products besides salad dressings? Sick of my questions yet?!?
Hello everyone from Saskatoon/Saskatchewan. Nice to see you all on this site. I started IP on April 6, 2010. I have 50 lbs to lose. My clinic is Daysha's Wellness Clinic on Central Avenue. My first WI I lost 4 lbs. I was ecstatic...took me a year once to lose 20lbs on Weight Watchers. I am really enjoying the protocol. I know that I am eating a lot healthier than before and am feeling great....Look forward to sharing and supporting all of you
Well I am not from Saskatoon, but I am a Saskatchewan girl. I also go to Daysha's Clinic. I think she is great! Only been on for 2 weeks and have already lost more than I did on 4 months of Weight Watchers. I wish I would have found IP sooner

Welcome SaskDragonfly, glad to have you on board. The program is great if you follow it faithfully. This forum is really helpful too...lots of good advice, ideas and support.
I am assuming you are in Saskatoon if you are going to Daysha's. She is the best! I have WI #6 this Wednesday.
I live in Regina too and Adelle is my coach. I'm so happy with my quick results and I feel FANTASTIC! WI #2 was on Saturday and Im down a total of 15 lbs and 9 inches!!!!!!! YAHOO!!!!!!! Good luck to you all!

Not sure I missed this, for like 2 weeks! Anyways, sorry for responding so late. I wasn't really exercising before starting IP, pretty much a couch potato. But a week before starting IP I joined a learn to run class. Probably wasn't the best of timing cause we aren't suppose to exercise. I only run 30 mins 2-3 times a week and try to get in a Zumba class once a week at lunch. On those days I have an extra hard boiled egg. I still find though that I just don't have a lot of energy when I'm running, lots of times I feel pooped out right from the start. Not sure if that is related to IP or not.
I made the IP shepards pie and really liked it. I'm actually eating pretty much the same as before except I leave out the crackers in my hamburgers and don't have the bun. I make beef and pork on a bun but with the WF BBQ sauce. Oh and I love the big mac in a bowl, ate that lots. The only WF product besides the dressings that I have had is the pancake syrup, haven't actually used it on anything yet, but tried it and it was good. Oh and I tried the mayo but hated it! I am using Superstore's Blue Menu low calorie ketchup, it has 1 carb per tbsp I think. I can't tell the difference. And I really like the Arizona Ice Tea from Superstore as well, it's a nice change from water and is 0/0/0. It's in powdered form by the crystal light.
How have you found the last couple of weeks? I decided last week that this would be my last week. I weigh in tonight and will be moving to phase 3. With summer here and ball season (I have 2 girls in ball) we seem to be running every which way most nights, I wanted to be able to get back to 'normal'. I would still like to lose 10 more pounds, and will try to do so over the summer, but if I don't I will start back up again in the fall.

Hey Kami! No worries about taking awhile to respond...I wondered what happened to ya though Thanks for the exercise/food tips! I just found the Superstore ketchup last weekend, and I will definately have to look for that ice tea next time I'm at the store.
I just had my 3rd weigh in last night and have lost 12.5 lbs in the 3 weeks. The first week was a little rough, but since then I've gotten into the routine and don't mind IP in the short-term. Last week I found out that donating blood and being on a very low carb/sugar diet for the 2 weeks prior wasn't such a good idea. I had an IP snack b4 and after I donated and felt fine but it wasn't until an hour later that it hit me. I ended up fainting a few times and since then have been fighting being tired. So that definately had my body in "shock" for a few days and I didn't lose much. I've kept the exercise to a minimum since then.
It's funny that you mentioned phase 3, and I've decided to change my goal as well. I'm leaving on a family trip to the Maritimes in 4 weeks and have decided that I will spend the next week on Phase 1, one week on Phase 2 and then 2 weeks on Phase 3 so that I'm basically into maintenance for when I'm away. I would also ideally like to lose another 10 pounds, but I know I won't be able to do that in 2 weeks, and I will just work on it some more during the summer/fall.
Great job with your weight loss so far! Hopefully your weigh-in went well today! I can understand why you would want to venture out on your own for the busy summer and spend time enjoying it with your girls instead of having to worry about IP. If you continue on with the running program, I'm sure you will lose that additional little bit of weight in no time!

Ooh, I'm so glad I read this. Been trying to find low carb ketchup!
