I haven't tried freezing the chocolate drink, but the butterscotch and chocolate puddings freeze pretty well for a frozen treat. Just don't leave the choc pudding in the freezer for too long or it will get rock hard. I only leave it in for 5 - 10 minutes.

I don't know about freezing it but when I have the choc drink I add extra water and Ice and blend, its thick like a milk shake. I do this with the puddings as well just add normal amount of water with a little ice and it's nice and thick like real pudding....I look forward to my pudding each evening and don't know what I would do without my magic bullet blender. Good luck!!

Almost done with day 2. I had bad headache day 1 but feel pretty decent today. Packets are tolerable. I am having a terrible time with WF dressings. Have tried 6 different ones and hated them all. I tried to doctor them but still can't stand them. I saw a few recipes in recipe thread but everything is some type of italian (the only dressing I hate.) Any other ideas?

Wow.. Good job everybody on their successes and nsv this weekend. I went shopping in Billings this weekend and unexpectedly spent the night. Managed to eat out without any cheats.. But I agree that when you are out of your environment this diet is more difficult. I could hardly stand all of the good smells in the mall.(stinkin cinnabon) I have WI #5 on tues. But im learning no matter the number, im just going to keep on going.. Its not over til its over.. (And I hit 20lbs on friday on my scales.. 30 to go).

I posted this before in the recipes 2 thread but, for convenience and because we have so many new faces, HERE YOU GO! :) This is a facebook friend of mine and she has made several recipes. She has been an amazing success on IP from a 22 to a 2!! Here are her ice cream recipe (her comments included) and her chocolate shake recipe. ENJOY! they are both great!!

IP Ice Cream by Ruthie Buxbaum

MAKES 2 SERVINGS

1/2 cup ice
1 choc or vanilla ready made drink
1/2 cup very cold water
1 packet choc or vanilla or even strawberry pudding
2 droppers of the sweet leaf stevia extract for sweetness (like chocolate or berry, or even peppermint)
Place all above ingredients in order in blender. Mix VERY well in the blender. Add to ice cream maker & 20 mins later... VOILA... ice cream.
You can also put in Walden Farms caramel, marshmellow, or chocolate syrup too... And, sometimes I add the raspberry WF spread to the strawberry pudding..... mmmm.
The ice cream maker I use is a Cuisanart

Chocolate Shake:

MAKES 2 SERVINGS
1 packet IP choc. pudding
1 box vanilla ready made drink
4 ice cubes
about 1/4 cup cold water
1/2 dropper full of vanilla creme stevia (or vanilla torani syrup).
BLEND in a blender. Ta Daaaah.

She doesn't know I'm on IP and I don't want to tell her as she tends to be a bit condescending and I just don't want to deal with her at this point. My plan is to eat what I can and if she questions why I don't eat something I will feign illness....I know terrible but seriously I just don't want to deal with her! after being on IP for 4 1/2 weeks I have decided that going to people's houses for dinner is the hardest because you don't want to put people out by saying you can only eat certain things and you don't want to be rude......and there are certain people who you just don't care to share that you are on a diet with....

Always stand up for where you are. You can explain your doctor has you eliminating a few foods from your diet right now and you are wondering if you can bring a dish to accompany her meal. It insures you have at least 1 great dish that you can eat.

If you don't want to say anything then do this.

Have an IP protein drink or pudding before you go. OR if you are using restricted items, try to pack in some soy nuts to sprinkle on a salad or veggies side dish. That will work if you are served a fried or breaded protein or, protein in cream sauce or something like that. You can also take a restricted bar as a dessert/snack if you will be there late.

then you just need to hope for a good, undressed salad, and veggies. Most hostess won't be offended if you ask for a bit of salad without dressing, not a hard accomodation if you ask for it in advance and just explain you'd like to use vinegar and oil or your own dressing for health reasons.

if you offer and are accepted to bring a veggie tray then you know you can get broccoli, cauliflower, cucumber, tomato, celery, mushroom slices, or other good choices.

Good luck! We have all been there. You will do great! :)

i just wanted to share with the newbies out there how wonderful this program has made me feel. I started on 1/31/11. When i read the Phase 1 sheet I honestly didn't think i'd last 2 weeks. i can't explain it, but there's just something about this diet that is different from everything else i've done.

i was very depressed before, and didn't have much energy to do anything...even socialize with loved ones. now i feel GREAT! and i'm out and about and have barely had enough time to even post on these boards because i'm so busy.

i had a huge light bulb moment the other day. i realized that IP taught me that food is just something my body needs to survive. i might be sick of those veggies, but my body needs the fuel. so i just shovel it down and move on. there are more important things in life than focusing on food all the time. wow......i never thought this day would come :D

I totally agree with your observations of the diet. I have been on the diet for almost 4 weeks and I haven't had any cravings for sweets or carbs. I had so much energy the first week I started doing my spring cleaning. I haven't had any thoughts of how to cheat. On other diets by the second week I would be looking for sneaky ways to cheat thinking "a little bite won't hurt". But we all know how one little cheat turns into several and then....well, ya know its all down hill from there. I've learned that I don't let myself dwell on any food item. If I allow myself to sit there and look at it or think about I can talk myself into giving in to the temptation. I've also learned that my body really needs the veggies.....yes, I get tired of them but like cajunbumblebee said "I just shovel it down and move on". Again, I don't dwell on it or again I could talk myself out of eating them. I will say though I haven't really wanted to cheat...I've been very satisfied with my food but I've only been doing this for 4 weeks. This has been the best diet I have ever been on....I don't have to do a lot of thinking about food except what packet of food I will have and what veggies and protein I will have for the day...how easy is that. I would love my weight loss to move a little faster (3 lbs first week and 2 or 3 each week) and I'm losing inches so it's going in the right direction.

I haven't gone in to weigh in in almost 3 weeks. I did the Commando Boot Camp last week and at home lost about 4-5 pounds. I felt fine, but I do so miss things like peanut butter and crunchy chips!
This week I plan on doing the boot camp every other day, but allow myself 3 restricted this week...so I can change things up.

Has anyone tried any new items..I heard there is a new soup. Is there anything else?

If you're talking about the new Tomato Soup I've had it. I really don't care for it...it tasted chalky to me. I added some basil and a couple of other spices and it still didn't help.

You have any thoughts?

Very important blood type, I asked my coach last week about giving blood and she advised me not to yet. I'm finishing week 3 now. She said my calorie intake is too low at this point and it's better to not put that stress on my body.
Not sure how other coachs feel about it

The first week is the hardest. Just stick to things you know and like and then start tweekking stuff when your body isn't screaming at you.

I have found with the WF dressinfgs you need to use them very lightly. Too much is defonitely a shut down.
