Crock Pot Chicken
Well, I have a whole chicken and a desire. But I just discovered I didn't copy the crock pot chicken recipe to my recipe file. If anyone has that quick and handy it would be most appreciated!
Btw, love the new apple cinnamon snacks. |

Whole Chicken Crock Pot Recipe 4 teaspoons salt 2 teaspoons paprika 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1 teaspoon onion power 1 teaspoon thyme 1 teaspoon white pepper 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 1/2 teaspoon black pepper 1 large roasting chicken 1 cup chopped onions Directions 1. Combine the spices in a small bowl 2. Remove giblets from chicken and clean chicken 3. Rub spice mixture on the chicken (under the skin, since we're going to take it off, anyway) 4. Place in a large resealable bag and refridgerate overnight. (Can skip if you're in a hurry) 5. When you're ready to cook, put the chopped onions in the bottom of the crock pot 6. Add the chicken, no liquid needed, it'll make its own juices 7. Cook on low 4-8 hours |
Hello All, I wanted to say thank you to all of you and this forum which gave me the strength to start IP.
This is my first post and I am on day 4, I am having a really hard time finding IP packet food that is tolerable any recommendations? I also didn't know if eggs are allowed its not on my sheet of acceptable proteins just did not know if that was on purpose as a lot of the recipes i see on here call for eggs. |

Hello everyone!! I hope you are all having a great day! I also want to say a big http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e2...me/welcome.gif to Sandman's Mom! You will have such great success on this plan! How wonderful that you can share it with a family member it really seems to help so many out. Well, yesterday I spent time with my grandparents (94/95 yrs old) and that was such a wonderful thing. My grandmother has always been worried about my weight. It was so nice for her to comment on how proud she is to see me maintaining what I lost. She also said she still wants to see me meet my ultimate goal. WOW!!! Talk about getting a shot in the arm of motivation. That nearly made me cry and I realized how committed I have to be to doing/finishing this NOW! You see, she was diagnosed with severe aortic stenosis a month back. It isn't something that is cureable and it seems to be progressing pretty quickly based on her symptoms. In fact this weekend, she is having a bit of a hard time. Well, it occurred to me yesterday as she expressed her wishes, if I don't REALLY focus again and get this done now, she may not get to see that. I really want her to see it so, here we go. NO cheats, no off plan foods, no variations from plan til this is done. I am on day 2 of phase 1 boot camp. :) GOIN' GOOD SO FAR! I was worried given I had more carbs with alternate phase 1 and hadn't really done the athletic protocol much before injuring my knee this week. I wasn't sure how much issue I was going to face shifting to a more reduced calorie/carb profile. Looking forward to this week with all of you! |

1. Breakfast is an Atkins shake mixed with our coffee or hot tea...spread out over the morning and several cups. (notice the calories/fat are a little high...I only have 2/3 shake...my daughter and her hubby have the whole thing). I also drink 36 ounces of water in the morning to help keep me full. 2. Lunch is a salad (lettuce, cabbage, mushrooms, cucumbers, peppers, scallions) with homemade dressing (evoo, vinegar, seasonings) along with a shake or sometimes we do the sour cream and onion puffs from Lindora (the carb count is a little higher). 3. Dinner meat and veggies 4. Snack....a bar or lava cake from Lindora All three of us use the Lindora bars, soy puffs, lava cake and buy Atkins shakes in the store. Any other questions...feel free. Again I used strictly IP for four months (losing 52 pounds) and never once took a bite of anything off protocol. The last two months have been alternatives and 2 full weeks off the diet for vacations and I have still managed to lose another 14 pounds. I am about 7 pounds from my original goal, but want to lose another 15 after that. Good luck. |

I have been very busy playing with my new electronic toy - the Nook Color. I have now transformed it into an android tablet.
It has taken me almost all day to get caught up reading posts since Thursday. A lot of new people - WELCOME! A whole lot of NSV's - CONGRATULATIONS! Have a wonderful Sunday people. |

I mix my chocolate pudding in mint ice tea and put it in the freezer till it gets slushy, I know some people mix crushed ice in too. You will get used to the taste of the packets. remember nothing tastes as bad as skinny feels. We are all here for you. Just ask if you have any questions. Drink all your water. Lemon is acceptable in it if it helps you. Mary |
I just wanted to poke my head in and say what a difference a few days makes. I posted on Friday that I was frustrated with the slow weight loss and rather than give up, I read and researched and cut out my restricted bar the past two days and have already lost 2 pounds this weekend. :carrot:
