This morning she pull me down because she says I should stop dieting. I won't until the day I feel good! Anyways I just wanting to vant! I'm visiting my super supportive parents tonight!

As some on here know I went through this last week with my sister. She is quite thin but somewhat unhappy in her life. Unfortunately people try to bring us down when we do things they don't think they can do themselves.

Stick with it and keep a smile on your face. You have done a great job and are close to your goal. This is for you... no one else! :D

Crock Pot Chicken

Well, I have a whole chicken and a desire. But I just discovered I didn't copy the crock pot chicken recipe to my recipe file. If anyone has that quick and handy it would be most appreciated!

Btw, love the new apple cinnamon snacks.

Not sure this is the one you are looking for but I love it! :) It is very spicy so sometimes I'll leave out/cut back on some of the pepper spices.

Whole Chicken Crock Pot Recipe
4 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons paprika
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon onion power
1 teaspoon thyme
1 teaspoon white pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 large roasting chicken
1 cup chopped onions
Directions
1. Combine the spices in a small bowl
2. Remove giblets from chicken and clean chicken
3. Rub spice mixture on the chicken (under the skin, since we're going to take it off, anyway)
4. Place in a large resealable bag and refridgerate overnight. (Can skip if you're in a hurry)
5. When you're ready to cook, put the chopped onions in the bottom of the crock pot
6. Add the chicken, no liquid needed, it'll make its own juices
7. Cook on low 4-8 hours

Hello All, I wanted to say thank you to all of you and this forum which gave me the strength to start IP.

This is my first post and I am on day 4, I am having a really hard time finding IP packet food that is tolerable any recommendations? I also didn't know if eggs are allowed its not on my sheet of acceptable proteins just did not know if that was on purpose as a lot of the recipes i see on here call for eggs.

Congrats on taking your first steps! Day 1 is definitely the hardest, day 4 and 5 were pretty horrible for me personally but it's only gotten easier since then and will for you too. My personal favorites for the IP packets are the omlette (I cut mine into scrambled eggs and sometimes add veggies and hot sauce), I also love the ready to drink pinapple banana and chocolate and love the butterscotch pudding. The cereal has a nice crunch to it although I can't stomach the "milk" because of the texture of it. Everyone has different tastes so it will be a couple of weeks of trial and error for sure. As for the eggs, listed under poulty is 2 whole eggs which I will have a couple times a week in place of my meat for dinner. I fry them in the EVOO, add some sea salt and pepper and add a side of veg.

Hope that helps and stick with it, this really does work!

Hello everyone!! I hope you are all having a great day!

I also want to say a big http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e2...me/welcome.gif to Sandman's Mom!

You will have such great success on this plan! How wonderful that you can share it with a family member it really seems to help so many out.

Well, yesterday I spent time with my grandparents (94/95 yrs old) and that was such a wonderful thing. My grandmother has always been worried about my weight. It was so nice for her to comment on how proud she is to see me maintaining what I lost. She also said she still wants to see me meet my ultimate goal. WOW!!! Talk about getting a shot in the arm of motivation. That nearly made me cry and I realized how committed I have to be to doing/finishing this NOW! You see, she was diagnosed with severe aortic stenosis a month back. It isn't something that is cureable and it seems to be progressing pretty quickly based on her symptoms. In fact this weekend, she is having a bit of a hard time. Well, it occurred to me yesterday as she expressed her wishes, if I don't REALLY focus again and get this done now, she may not get to see that. I really want her to see it so, here we go. NO cheats, no off plan foods, no variations from plan til this is done.

I am on day 2 of phase 1 boot camp. :) GOIN' GOOD SO FAR! I was worried given I had more carbs with alternate phase 1 and hadn't really done the athletic protocol much before injuring my knee this week. I wasn't sure how much issue I was going to face shifting to a more reduced calorie/carb profile.

Looking forward to this week with all of you!

I can't wait! Have a good OP day!

I have a friend that had dessert right in front of me on my second day, I decided right there and then that it is my problem to solve and not others. I have good friends that support and have had a good time so far, it is always to see the weight leaving

You have any thoughts?

Hi Vanessa, on my second day of me being on IP I gave blood. I am O- as well. I talked to the nurse about it and there is no problem giving blood. I even wrote down my stats to compare when I go back in April. Hey I also like saving 3 lives each time I give too... still hate the needle even after over 50 donations. Keep up the good work.

I'm new to IP this being my first week. I have to say that after reading through different threads I am more motivated than ever. I had a hard time the first few days since I was a coke drinker. It has gotten easier since I got past the hump of not having caffine. It can only get easier from here, right??
Anyway, thanks to everyone who has written about their success stories. I hope to be one of those people soon!

Have a wonderful day!!
Lindsey

I also love my diet coke, but now I don't even miss it. I seem to now crave water... :barf:

Carla I am sorry to hear about your Grandma, it is always so hard to see them not doing well. I know you can do it and your grandma is so proud of you as it is. Keep it up. :grouphug:

Here is what they do (and also myself every day):

1. Breakfast is an Atkins shake mixed with our coffee or hot tea...spread out over the morning and several cups. (notice the calories/fat are a little high...I only have 2/3 shake...my daughter and her hubby have the whole thing). I also drink 36 ounces of water in the morning to help keep me full.

2. Lunch is a salad (lettuce, cabbage, mushrooms, cucumbers, peppers, scallions) with homemade dressing (evoo, vinegar, seasonings) along with a shake or sometimes we do the sour cream and onion puffs from Lindora (the carb count is a little higher).

3. Dinner meat and veggies

4. Snack....a bar or lava cake from Lindora

All three of us use the Lindora bars, soy puffs, lava cake and buy Atkins shakes in the store.

Any other questions...feel free.

Again I used strictly IP for four months (losing 52 pounds) and never once took a bite of anything off protocol. The last two months have been alternatives and 2 full weeks off the diet for vacations and I have still managed to lose another 14 pounds. I am about 7 pounds from my original goal, but want to lose another 15 after that. Good luck.

Good Morning all you IP Champions!! Congrats to everyone with NSV and successful weight loss yesterday. :bravo:
I myself have had a NSV today it is my 40th birthday and my wife has given me a trip to New York and my kids gave me tickets to see my favorite hockey team the New Jersey Devils play on April 2. This was a total shock to me.
My wife said to me that she was very proud of the way I have transformed myself into the new me and my 16 year old daughter said she was happy I lost all that weight because when I was the size I was it scared her that I wouldn't be around very much longer and even though she is getting older she still needed her Dad.
Have a awesome IP day everyone and remember we can all do this.

Rene Happy Birthday. You are always cheering other people on in this IP journey. I just wanted to say congratulations on turning 40 and your upcoming trip to NY to see the New Jersey Devils play hockey.

I have been very busy playing with my new electronic toy - the Nook Color. I have now transformed it into an android tablet.

It has taken me almost all day to get caught up reading posts since Thursday. A lot of new people - WELCOME! A whole lot of NSV's - CONGRATULATIONS!

Have a wonderful Sunday people.

It is very hard to like the food when you start, we all experienced the same thing, read the thread on recipes, it really helps to jazz up the packets and that thread will tell you how.
I mix my chocolate pudding in mint ice tea and put it in the freezer till it gets slushy, I know some people mix crushed ice in too. You will get used to the taste of the packets.

remember nothing tastes as bad as skinny feels. We are all here for you. Just ask if you have any questions. Drink all your water. Lemon is acceptable in it if it helps you.

I just wanted to poke my head in and say what a difference a few days makes. I posted on Friday that I was frustrated with the slow weight loss and rather than give up, I read and researched and cut out my restricted bar the past two days and have already lost 2 pounds this weekend. :carrot:
