Hi Everyone, I'm new to this forum--just wanted to introduce myself and say hello!
A little about my weight loss journey--started about January of this year with portion control, eating whole grains, lean meats, veggies, fruits, and low fat dairy, along with a lot of exercise...starting weight was my highest ever: 291.8, lost 89.8 and was at 202, then started to gain a little throughout a few weeks and felt control slipping away a little bit--went up to 208, and decided (after much reading/hearing about how others did on the program) to join IP to finish off my weight loss. I'm currently at 107.2 down, (23.4 down in ~5 1/2 weeks on IP).
I'm so thankful to have found this forum because I know very few people following this program, and everyone here seems so encouraging and full of inventive ideas!
I woke up this morning with a killer sore throat and cough does anybody know a throat lozenges that can be used while on IP.
I am pretty sure I read on this forum that throat lozenges are a no no!
Always check ingedients if there is on the package.
They might have tons of sugar in them.
and for those of you in Canada who LOVE Tim Hortons' ice Caps, check this! This is a large original with cream:

All this talk of specialty coffees makes me glad to be a tea drinker--fewer temptations!
For those who enjoy caramel flavoured lattes, have you tried the WF Caramel Syrup or Caramel Dip in your coffee? I use it in my tea almost every night for dessert. It's really, really delicious, and other than the bit of milk I use, completely calorie free, but tastes sweet and creamy--yummy and very satisfying.
I'M DOWN 4.2 LBS!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so ecstatic when I stepped on the scale today (a day early even!). I've lost more than 10% of my body mass (a milestone I NEVER achieved on WW) and I'm 6 lbs from my first mini-goal! Thank you again PetiteandCute and RockyMonarch for that kick in the butt last week - you helped make the difference this week!

I love the WF caramel, but it was getting too expensive so I switched to the Da Vinci SF carmel syrup. Tastes very good, just not as creamy.
couts71 - also try peppermint tea. Or even chamomile or echinacea. That should help soothe it. Also ensure you are getting enough fluids. You can start a vitamin C supplement if you haven't already (capsules are fine, chewables can contain sugar).
DH has lost 9 lbs this week the bugger. It's his first week on the diet. I've been cooking suppers for us both but our diet is drastically different between the two of us otherwise. He doesn't have the same tastebuds as me.
I'm very excited, albeit nervous, to WI tomorrow!
Good job everyone on your weight losses. Keep on keepin on my lovelies!!
Haven't posted in a while. Just got back from a mini vaca trip with hubby and son to Frankenmuth, Michigan. Had a great time and didn't cheat --- though it was tempting!
Had my WI today and I am down 2 pounds which brings my total loss to 60 --- with 20 more to lose to reach my goal.
I was a bit disappointed with the -2 (I know I shouldn't be), but I had a loss of 2.2 last week. My coach told me she believes my body has been "plateauing out" these past two weeks.
Can anyone shed some light on this? Is she right?
She then told me that my body will only be able to hang on to this plateau for so long (without the calories and carbs) and that I should be seeing a 3 or 4 loss next week.
We shall see --- but I am thrilled with the 60 pounds lost so far!!!
