  • Quote: I am now 3 days into Phase 2. I must admit I'm having a hard time with all the meat! I've never been a big meat eater, and the 5 oz at dinner was a pretty hard adjustment. Now lunch too!

Does anybody know where the glycogen is stored? (I know where I'd like it be stored ) When I gain it back, will those 2-3 pounds change the way I look, or the way my clothes fit?

    KelleyAnn
It is stored in the liver and the muscles. It didn't change the way I looked weightwise or the way my clothes felt. My face and neck looked less gaunt. I've dropped back to Phase 1/2 for the last week and my face and neck have that nasty gaunt look again. So I think glycogen storage is a good thing.
  • well I have finally gained a few pounds. I was 122.8 or so last weds, went on a 3 day trip to NYC and was back yesterday at 126 and change (no bad eating just lost of high sugar/carb drinks). Weight training yesterday, cardio today and some more gym time should take care of it. BUT the reason I post this is because of BEVs post: it is interesting that the 3 or 4 pounds did not make a difference on my clothes fit at all, everything is very much like it was past weds just that the scale shows I am at higher weight. It might be due to dehydration too though, I hardly drank any water at all during the 3 days to the point that my lips are actually cracked now.

regardless, I know exactly how to get back that minus few pounds and only reason is that if I don't then am worried I keep going up. I am perfectly content with 126 or 123.
  • I posted in the daily chat-but wanted to pop in here to say that my first week on Phase 2 was astonishing! I just checked my Excel sheet and the previous 7 weeks, I lost either 2 or 3 pounds per week. My first week on Phase 2 and I dropped 5.5 pounds. This was really exciting! I have now lost 100.5 pounds. So, I will work on getting rid of the next 6.5 pounds. I could almost hear the Big Breakfast calling me!!

I hope everyone is having a great week! Pita-it sounds like you have things all figured out. I am wondering about the glycogen gain too. A friend told me that my neck was too skinny. I believe BevS called it the nasty gaunt neck!! Eeek!

Wow! A hundred pounds! I am in awe of your stick-to-itiveness! You have lost a whole person! OK, a little person, but still!

Hey Pita... great to see you back... it is reassuring to others that yes you can keep the weight off pretty easily, I also try not to get too hung up on the numbers...

Fantastic results... whoop whoop, big breakky here you come!!!!
  • Thanks WannabeIP!

as of this morning all that I had gained is gone! 2 days of low-carbing & working out took care of it. I think I am passed my 6 weeks of being on maintanence and so far so good...
  • Tomorrow is...

    Big Breakky Day!!

I'm so excited! Hello fruit, hello bread.. I have missed you.

I hit my goal yesterday.. I was hoping to get below by a few pounds for the glycogen gain, but I'm going to start exercising again and hopefully that will do it.

The fruit gave me such a sugar buzz the first few days- wowee!

Enjoy your big breakfast tomorrow, you've earned it!

    Big, BIGCongratulations.

Thank you! I was wondering that about the fruit.. I'll probably be wired at work tomorrow. I see you're in maintenance - congrats! Have you gone shopping for a little black dress yet?

Thanks, Linden! How is the Phase 2 change up going?

Yup, bought the dress. Now I just need somewhere to wear it!
  • Pita - Glad to hear from you! Congrats on maintaining!

Katie - Congrats on transitioning into Phase 3! Enjoy your breakfast tomorrow!

Stacey41 - Congrats on the lil black dress! I'm sure you look fab!

So I weighed in tonight and was down another 2 lbs, which puts me 1.5 lbs under my goal weight. Yippee! After 3 weeks of Phase 2, like Katie I'll also be enjoying my first Phase 3 big breakfast tomorrow!! Thanks for all the tips on how to pick and plan menus, as well as reassurance that it's doable! I have tomorrow's meal all planned out...1 slice multi-cereal toast with WF strawberry spread, 3 slices bacon, 2 eggs, 1 cup strawberries and 3/4 cup greek yogurt. BLISS!
  • Pita: Nice to hear from you

Sweetstina: Oh, you just made my mouth water. I checked out the museili and yogurt tonight at the store!

Ok, experienced Life after folks...quick question: I'm having both TOM and Big C problems, so don't expect to be down tomorrow. I've noticed small changes, so I think I'm losing fat. I think its also possible that as I get closer to my goal, I'm slowing down. I've heard some people say that they think that phase II kicked started their lossed a little. Thoughts from the group?

My plan was to phase off by the end of October, so I'd start phase two around the first of the month. Should I think about it sooner? I am seeing my coach tomorrow, and I know what he will say -- he'll want me to stay on longer so I can buy more packets from him.

Thanks, Linden! How is the Phase 2 change up going?
Well, I can definitely say the change up has affected my weight. I'm up 3 pounds and, if I read indicators correctly, I'll be up tomorrow. This IS NOT a whine -- just my sardonic humor. But it's true, I am on the horns of a dilemma. Should I stick it out for the whole week? two weeks? Or should I try to cut my losses (I mean gains) and get back on Phase 1? (I have not had a restricted packet since the end of of week 2, when I had been told by my coach to have one a day. No initial big loss. And I have never had a bar, or soy nuts, or anything like them.)

I'm still within the 5 pound fluctuation I've been experiencing for the past 40 days and 40 nights, so maybe that's good. But I also have been walking at least 3 miles a day (in two sessions because that's the puppy's limit) and I was hoping that that would have a good effect.

I suspect this kind of thing is so far out of the experience of most of you that you won't have much to say. But please, if you can think of anything?

I am totally following the formula, not even moving things around, i.e., having dinner for breakfast, etc. And I drink between 95-110 ounces of water a day, although some of it is in the form of organic de-caffinated tea, mostly herbal. Help?

Ugh....Linden...I'm so sorry. I don't have any advice other than I've now discovered how much I fluctuate in a week since I bought a scale last week. I had no idea before.
