I LOVE the strawberry pudding as a shake (much more than a pudding). In fact, I bought an entire box yesterday. It is sooo yummy.

Ok, looks like I should have multi-quoted... sorry! haha

I had my 7 week weigh in yesterday. Lost 4.4 pounds, for a total of 32.8 (average is now down to 4.69, by the way - it will keep going down the longer I am on). Lost 4.75 inches (that is for two weeks because someone else measured me last week and we're not counting that since she does it differently) for a total of 31.75 inches.

Way to go Stace!!! I have WI# 4 today, and I am hoping for a decent loss. I leave on my 1st cruise in 2 weeks and 2 days, and I want to be down 22 by then. So far, so good, but I still live in the mind-set "This is too good to be true" so I'm always waiting for the :nono: scale to STOP moving. And as fast it started it will end. Maybe that's why I love this site so much!!! It keeps me going forward and keep that scale moving down, down, down.

Can you ask for a different coach? Is there one who did the plan and started at a similar weight as you? It sounds to me like your coach is very insensitive... and rude! Don't let her comments get you down, you are doing great!

Not sure where all this corporate business is suddenly coming from... except for IP product sales, our clinic doesn't keep ANY of our records on site--not even our weight! They will do the measurements, but they write them on a log sheet and hand them back. I started keeping a diary, but never did anything with it... so I switched to keeping a spreadsheet for myself. Same with the weight and measurements: I do it myself. And I get all the info I need from the experts on this forum. :)

Maybe they are cracking down, but some of the things I am hearing here lately don't even make sense. Yet to be honest, they sell this program as available only through health care providers, and if some are really just outlets for selling the IP product line, it's possible that corporate is trying to shift focus to the health aspects of the protocol. If no client records are kept, it's hard to prove that any such services are being provided. Could also be a requirement if there is a push to get some of the expense covered by insurance companies.

Just my thoughts...

I don't even do a food diary. No one has ever asked me for one. I just try to stick to the plan every day.

My daughter and I MUST bring our daily journals every WI. We were told in the beginning, that if we showed up without them we would be asked to go home and get them and come back! Since today is my 4th WI, and they are only big enough for a month, I don't know if they'll keep them today, or if we keep them?!?

Something is going on though! Look at the email we received this morning from our "IP DR":

"Hello everyone!
It has been an interesting, fun, and good week already at Ideal Weight Loss Clinic and the week is not over yet. I want to take a minute to talk about something, it is a topic that is not meant to be terribly condemning; however, it needs to be taken to heart with much grace, love, and sincerity. The topic is the topic of CHEATING! I first want to reiterate the point I have made several times (in the office and at both "Evening Outs")...cheating will not be tolerated. I have made more compromises this week, with patients cheating, than all previous thirteen (13) weeks combined. People are still losing weight (that's the beauty and effectiveness of this program), but many do not when they cheat.
Here is how I look at this, as well as how corporate holds me accountable towards the topic of cheating: we all got to the place of being unhealthy, fat, overweight, out-of-shape, on too much medication, low self esteemed, depressed, unhappy with ourselves, and just downright selfish from CHEATING...either cheating our family, our spouses/partners, our bodies (temples), and/or most importantly our own inner man/woman. The physiology of the human body is created to run efficiently, effectively, and productively provided you don't cheat it! Our spirit man is much the same way, if not more so. So my point is this...Corporate holds us physicians accountable to how well people perform on this program. Corporate does not allow cheating and we are not supposed to either. If we do, guess what, WE'RE CHEATING. It rolls up and down the hill both ways. Now with all this being said, I want to take this opportunity to let each of you know I want you to succeed and reach your goals more than most of you do. Your success is my success! As we get busier and busier at Ideal Weight Loss Clinic I will be held to higher and higher standards and so will our dieters. Please don't read anything into this message, just take from it exactly what is intended...do the program as it was designed!!
I take what I do seriously and I want each of you to do the same thing. Those of you who have known me through chiropractic know, I am not in this for your money or to build up my ego, I do this because I love helping people live a life full of vitality, inspiration, and happiness. So, let's all re-focus, re-adjust our direction, and put our eyes and minds back into our manuals and follow the plan! You and your wallet will be thankful every step of the way. Blessings to all of you!"

That is just WEIRD and CREEPY!!! As far as I'm concerned, they are offering a service and we are buying it or not. They are responsible to us, not vice versa. I will definitely be doing the diet without their help and without their products! There is no magic ingredient in their products. Many of them are identical to other weight loss clinics except for the high price. Your clinic doc may not be in it for the money, but I believe Ideal Protein is.

I would like to comment on many things in this letter but I am pressed for time. I am sure the others will help fill in what I have left out.

I just can't believe your coach would write "I want you to succeed and reach your goals more than most of you do." Who is she kidding!!! We want this more than any stranger who is trying to coach us!

My thoughts on all the recent corporate crackdown is this:

I think we are all part of a case study or science experiment they are trying to create. In a case study they need to have "controlled" specimens being us. They will never be able to control humans unless they have us under lock and key with no outside interference.

If your coaches are threatening you for cheating, start lying! Don't tell them of your cheats. We all know by cheating we are slowing our weight loss. It is a personal choice we make. The food journals we turn in will no longer reflect the truth. It is crazy! I have not heard this threat of cheating at my clinic.

Chaplains wifey 04-16-2010 09:30 AM

I agree the whole thing is weird and creepy and it must be coming from the top because what starcep said about food journals was also addressed. I always log my food intake in SparkPeople and I hate trying to keep up a hand written version of what I have eaten. In addition, the letter Kelsey recevied is similar to the cheat lecture I got--except instead of telling me the clinic would be shut down they are going to shut me down first!!!
I think IP has a program that works--and the word is out. It has made them a great deal of money while in a secretive state, however, as more people try it and spread the word--it can be done with out the word IP involved. I think they are worried about the lost income and not the bigger customer service issue. I'm not quitting---but I am going to finish out on my own. I kind of felt like there was going to be an issue towards the end because my coach is not going to want me to quit before I get to my goal weight but I do not think that this diet is good for a long, long term. I have been on it since Jan.18 and the last two weeks of May I plan on doing stage two and June 1 stage 3. When I read Dr. Tran's book it said something about this plan being a couple of weeks but of course with those that had more weight to lose it should be very supervised and would last longer.
I really hope that by June 1st I will have reset my pancreas and I will be able to slowly move closer to my goal weight eating more normally.

he is going to be SPEECHLESS!

You will see you will lose more by then too. Maybe walk a bit more and that will crank it up a bit?

I also want to tell everyone that I am LOVING all the pics! All your lovely faces are so refreshing and you are all looking so great! So nice to see those smiles :D

Hi everyone, I've been looking for information on this plan online and found it to be very scarce. I've been poking around on 3FC trying to get some more information on how to start the plan. I have a lot of questions, and I'm hoping you guys can help!

1. Can you do the program online? I live in Boston, and it tells me the closest clinic is 19 miles away, which is pretty far. I would love to just be able to follow the program online.

2. Do you have to have a doctor's note to get the products?

3. How much does it cost to start, how much do you pay throughout, and are you locked into a contract of any kind?

4. Is there a way to do the plan on your own, without going to a clinic or anything? Can I just buy similar products somewhere and do it on my own?
