I've made stuffed green peppers from the recipe on your blog twice this week and they are amazing! Love the smoked tabasco. Where did you find the low sugar ketchup?

Thanks!! I'm glad boot camp is working out for you!! Hopefully it will pay off on the scale!

I'm glad you like the stuffed peppers - they're my new favorite! I live in Canada and get my sugar free ketchup from Superstore - it's their blue menu brand. I have heard other people say that Heinz has one as well...or on the recipe board I posted a ketchup you can make at home that is sugar free and low carb :)

My coach says to have an extra package on work out days - I know one of my girlfriends has a hard boiled egg and that seems to work :)

When you eat or drink, that adds "weight" to your body. Drinking a 16-ounce glass of water increases your weight by 1 pound. You weigh the least first thing in the morning after going to the bathroom. As long as things are moving properly in your gut, the morning weight should be your true weight. So if you're going to get freaked out by weight increases from food and liquid intake, just stick to your morning weigh-in.

I agree completely! I weigh in first thing after Potty break! No more weighing for me until the next morning. I write my weight in my journal under the date everysingle day. That way if things stall out I can look back at times when things were moving right along and compare what I might be doing differently!

Boy, I feel so bad for all of you who are trying so hard on IP, then have to deal with stupid coaches and stuff! I'm angry for you!! They should be smarter than to mess with women who are eating reduced calories :)

I order my IP stuff from another state, they barely ask how I'm doing and yes, I totally get better info from this site!!

Scale question..I always weigh myself in the morn - every day (I know, I know), but lately I've been 'scale hopping' ..if I'm somewhere and I see a scale, I hop on- the problem is now I keep getting all kinda different readings! Should I just trust my scale at home? I just don't want to lie to myself!

Also, ordered Lindora stuff last Sun, received it today..not bad.

And good idea about cheating w IP stuff. I'm visiting the inlaws alone w the kids and I"m starting to feel on edge..maybe I'll have another IP packet!

Question

Hi everyone. I'm new so I hope I am posting right. I still don't quite understand threads.

Today is my first day on IP. I feel great so far. I had the mushroom soup with cauliflower and a salad. Loved it! Yum!

I told my husband that soon he will have a hot wife in a bikini. We've been married for 14 years and never had a honeymoon.....Hawaii here we come!!!

Does anyone know if we can add crystal light to our water?

Thanks.

Yes, use just your scale for your WI (only get on once in the morning). I use mine for daily monitoring (I write my weight every morning in the daily journal under the date. However, I use my official WI from IP Weight Loss clinic for this forum.

Yes, if you feel you MUST cheat - eat an extra IP Packet!

First of all, WELCOME :wel3fc: :welcome: :welcome3: :welcome2:

Secondly, No, according to my coach I cannot add anything except a little lemon to my water.

I was talking to someone that suggested this, Put a picture of your OLD SELF on the bathroom mirror. The idea is, since we lose fat so fast it is hard to see the changes in our self over time, we can see a comparison of our face today in the mirror against our old face or body as it was weeks or months before.

I know I didn't start to see a change for me until this past month. I have now been on the plan 5 months and have gone from a size 20 to a size 10 losing 80 pounds total. You'd think I should have seen it much early. I kinda knew it had happened and could sense it but my brain just couldn't catch up and couldn't comprehend it. A little more than a week ago my coach put my pictures in front of me, all side by side, and I was amazed at how much I have changed. I still have alot to go in my opinion but it was a shock to see it.

I still walk into places and choose the seat with extra room around it. I worried flying how crowded I would feel in my seat. I feel like people stare because " I am the fat girl" not because " she has a nice blouse on" :) !! I still have my "fat girl" mentality. They tell me that will go away over time. My girlfriend has caught me several times, automatically, going to the wrong size clothing rack and has to say "you can't wear those anymore"!

I think it is just the catching up of the whole mind body thing!

Hey Kami!!

Welcome to the forum! Glad you found us!

I have had the same feedback as Kelsey, no crystal light. Some people have coaches who say otherwise but I find it is easy to just add:

lemon juice
peppermint extract or oil
orange extract
cherry extract
sugar free raspberry torani syrup (like they use for coffee or italian sodas)
flavored stevia by sweetleaf (you can get grape, apricot, lemon, orange, vanilla, cinnamon, toffee, mint, root beer, dark chocolate and, chocolate raspberry)
http://www.amazon.com/Stevia-Clear-L...1456019&sr=8-2

sliced, peeled cucumbers to a pitcher then cool it in the fridge, you get a nice fresh flavor for the water

I haven't tried these flavored drinks by stevita yet but they are stevia based and seem to be all zero values for cal, carb, fat, sugar, etc. SO I think I might give it a whirl! :)

Hey everyone! I just saw Bev replied about daily weight fluctuation. I hadn't thought about it either until my BF was laughing at me for scale hopping and said "you know how much water you drink, right??? That gallon alone is 8 pounds! If you drink more, eat more, even if you are running to the bathroom all day you are still going to go fluctuate in weight everyday! YOU are so Funny!" RIGHT!! ;P HAHAHA...

After I thought about it, he was right (as usual) and I just weigh in the morning now! I also don't weigh every day. I only weigh if an outfit drastically changes in the way it fits or I seem puffy.

SO, my big news since coming back! :) I had a 4 pound loss coming back from vacation and was on T.O.M. (newbies, that is time of month :) abbreviation)!!! Best part! I fit into my size 10 skirt before I left but when I got back... got into my 10 pants too! I went shopping yesterday and bought medium size tops, a size 10 summer dress ( BF says it is already to big in places) and I have lost a full SHOE size!! WHO KNEW!

I feel like doing back flips! :)

That is the basics of the answer. More to the point, this program is between 700 and 1100 calories a day based on what foods you choose to eat. It is not recommended to be on a diet below 1200 cal a day because it is considered a starvation, and the reason we have to be medically managed. When you work out on a very low diet with NO immediate energy from blood glucose or carb stores (we get rid of our during the first 3 days of this plan) your body looks for the next best HIGHEST quality source of energy and will attempt to burn your muscle for fuel. The plan is designed to burn your fat and save your muscle so that your metabolism isn't damaged. If you burn muscle you drop your metabolism. So, exercising, especially intense exercise, can actually go against you, and while you may lose weight you might be keeping body fat. The effect is a smaller scale number but not a big change in body fat or inches.

I can't wait to go see my Doctor. He is going to be so proud. He is always encouraging me to find a way to lose some weight! Well, I found a way:carrot:

I love my journal. It has been great for analyzing and keeping on track. My doctor is the same as yours. She is glad I found something that is working for me!

I am out of town and don't have both labels to compare but if they aren't exactly the same they are very close. Taste the same and the packaging is the same as the old IP-- not the latest IP label.

Also, I have just been reading all the posts about cheating and turning in food logs. This is not my experience at all.
Come on. They can't possibly know whether you are cheating or not. Sounds like madness to me. I haven't turned in a food log in weeks and my doc hasn't asked for one. If someone told me I could be kicked out of the program for cheating or that I had to turn in food logs or they would lose their license, I would say thanks but this program is NOT for me!! You can't threaten people into compliance. Who wants to be treated that way???
And yes I do agree with Carla. I keep a journal of weight loss and what I have eaten and how I am feeling. It is true that you lose more weight when you keep track of what you eat. fitday is great for that too.
