Hi! I was delaying posting so I could tell you about MT but WELL..... MT still hasn't arrived and I stepped on the scale and my eating got me 8 pounds in the wrong direction! WAHHHHHH! So now I am counting points until MT arrives. I can tell the diff too...all the new stuff I bought is tight. This "last supper" thing has got to be stopped.

I met a lady yesterday who lost 25 pounds just by giving up bread and potatoes (she eats no bread what so ever) and got a trainer 2 times a week for exercise. She lost the weight since Feb. She is in her fifties.

I didn't find out any more arthritis and wine connection stuff. I am kind of surprised it was so easy to give up...I have been drinking it since the 80's and really loved it. Now I don't even think about it.

Big squeeze to all the pets!

Thumbs down Finally....a beautiful day!

The lilies have all been transferred..finally!! Neither one of us realized just how many we had. Then we had to shovel more dirt to fill the holes where we dug the plants out. The tomato plants are in too. We had to put some sort of fencing in front of the tomato plants to keep her nibs out of the area.

judi, don't worry about the weight gain. Once you start MT it will come off quickly. That's great you don't miss wine. I honestly think it's more of a habit. I don't drink wine during the week. I save it for the weekends, but sometimes even then I don't really enjoy it. That must be nice to have a personal trainer.

Cheryl, glad to hear that the kitties are getting along better. How did your weigh in go at WW? Your trip to New England must be getting closer. Hopefully all this rain will have ended. You can bring the warmer weather with you.

ledom, hope you're having a great time.

Enjoy your evening ladies!

Well, I feel encouraged--after last week's 1 lb. lost, I shed 2 1/2 at yetserday's weigh-in. It's sloooowww going--but little by little I WILL make goal by my birthday in November. I actually felt encouraged to tone up with Richard Simmons last night. . . need head there now.

Has been rainy here, too--so no kayaking. Planned to go Friday--but will be watching two grand-daughters. My daughter will be induced Thursday morning and I'll get them from the other grandparents Friday. Instead of kayacking we'll be looking at baby in the nursery and going to see Nemo. I'm always glad to have my DH with me to watch them--he's their "buddy", so much more fun and entertaining than I.

Good luck with your programs this week. Cher

Hi gals! Nice to read everyone posts.

MT arrived yesterday so I spent the morning putting together my binder, watching the video etc. It is very restrcictive, sounds quite a bit like BFL and is more restrictive then what would Jesus eat diet plan. NO bread of any kind for 6 weeks. But that is ok. I need something like that. My plan (with God's help) is to do it for 6 weeks then take maybe a 2 week break with counting ww POINTS then do another 6 weeks. I COULD if I stay on it reach the break thru the 200 mark that Ledom and I have for 2004. I am looking forward to doing it. It also has 2 18min. sessions of resistance training a week that targets your own specific trouble areas. In my case my upper torso and stomach. If you want to speed up things you can do walking. They have a phone-in place which I tried already and the person was helpful and a web site similiar to this.

Hi Ledom! How is the trip going? Big hi to both Cheryls and a squeeze to Alice and Laci. Got to go EAT (about every 2 hours...the waking ones anyway) Also 100 ounces of water

judi, YAY!!! MT finally arrived. Glad that you will enjoy doing this. Good luck to you and keep us posted to your progress. How long did it take you to put it all together? I have no doubt that you will succeed in your goal this year. That is good you will be mixing things up because you won't get bored that way. Lacee sends some doggie kisses to you.

Cher, congratulations on your weight loss. Also congratulations are in order for the new addition to your family.

Hi Cheryl & ledom.

Enjoy the rest of the day.

Alice, tell Lacee I enjoyed those kisses

Well, it is 10:03 pm and I made thru the day. Lots of food...I can't eat my last fruit.

This is how the day went.
2 egg whites/1/2 cup oatmeal (no milk or sugar)

2oz. tuna/salad greens asparagus, green beans (no dressing) and 1 tangelo

spinach/2 0z. prawns stir fry (no oil) 1/2 cup cold oatmeal (unadorned)

1 small apple/ 1egg

2 oz tuna/1 Can mushrooms over 1/4 potato and a salad of cucumbers, tomato, onion - no dressing

no salt on anything and I drank 64 0z. of the 100 oz of water.

THe food has to be eaten in certain combinations ex: protein/fruit etc. It all depends on your body type. I am a type A the most shut down metabolism type so most carbs are a no no.

I am only allowed fish (or chicken..which I don't eat) some other body types can have beef or pork.

It took me most of yesterday to get my info in my binder and read it, still feel a bit lost but went looking over at the Provida site and it is informative.

My WW friend came over and she is Body type C, so I gave her all the body type C stuff.

THe kit I think was def. worth the money. I am certain it will work if I am faithful to it.

I wasn't hungy but my stomach was growling. I had salt cravings like crazy...I saw someone eating a bag of chips and I wanted to run over, grab that bag of chips and stuff them into my mouth.

Today was my birthday. 53 years old! Yesterday I got some platinum streaks in my dark hair to celebrate. THe DH sent me flowers and bought me a lladro figurine. What a sweet guy!

oh, another thing there is NO bread for 6 weeks...waugh!! but that is ok because bread and cheese and p. butter is my downfall, none of those other things either.

On the tape there are those hilarious (to me) testimonials of how people went from a size 8 to a 2 etc. Like my WW friend said "I haven't been a size 8 since grade 3!"

Angry TGIF!

judi, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, girl!! Your birthday gifts sound awesome! Glad that you did something good for yourself, you must look great with your new do. Lacee was very happy to send some kisses your way. She just loves to give kisses to anyone that will let her. DH & I call her a kissin' fool! I was wondering what kind of protein you would eat where you are a vegetarian. You really will not miss the bread. When I was doing a low carb woe I got in the habit of a HUGE salad for lunch, and I prefer that to a sandwich. A sandwich makes me feel Can you have artificial sweetener at all? If you can have it, and if you can find s/f maple syrup, preferably made w/Splenda, it is delicious in oatmeal. It sweetens it, (if you like it sweet), and adds some flavor. What kind of flavoring can you put on your salads? You know, the people on those testimonals or in weight loss ads who are so thrilled at going from a size 6 or 8 to a size 2 make me laugh. I can't remember ever being able to squeeze into a size 6. JEEEESH! I think I was a size 12 for 3 minutes one time!

Hi everyone
Have a great day and enjoy the weekend.

Default Boston kisses

Those Bostons are the best smoochers aren't they? When I get on the phone to my D. and she puts Bentley on the phone "I say are you my Boston from Boston?" (He is reallly a Boston from Saskatchewan) and he I hear him slurping all over the reciever and my D. says he is wiggling and kissing the phone like crazy. My Lhasa will give several calm licks but only to me.

Thanks for telling me about the sweetner. I will look for it. So far I haven't found anything for salads because it can't have fat or sugar. I made a greek salad without the feta or oil and just put a bit of balsamic on it.

We are enjoying the good weather here on the island. I hope Alice, your weather if finally treating you right!

Big Hi and enjoy the weekend everyone!

Default Where is everybody??

I am lonely...here by myself.

I am on Day 4 ofthe MT program, so far so good. Good thing I started eating fish again or it would be darn near impossible to do.

already I feel so much better...I think it is doing without the fat and the simple carbs.

I stepped on the scale...it looks pretty good but I won't jinx it, I will tell you on THursday that will be week one done.

Hope you are all basking somewhere

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend. Sat. it rained...of course...but Sun. was delightful. It felt more like fall than spring. But, at least the sun was shining. We are in for a few days of nice weather.

judi, the other night I was flipping through channels and came upon MT's infomercial. I immediately thought of you and watched it. Some of the testimonials are fantastic. How are the strength training exercises coming along? I am glad that you are liking this woe. What happens after the 6 weeks are over? Do you add some foods that are forbidden for the 6 weeks? Looking forward to Thurs. Yep, Boston's love to smooch. I got a kick out of Bentley licking the phone when you're talking to him. That's cute!

ledom, hope you're having a good time.

Hi Cheryl..Cher

Have a wonderful day everyone.

Default good morning

Alice, after 6 weeks most people have lost the weight that they want to and then can have a "crazy day" eating whatever and go back on the plan for 6 days to stay slim or they can add more foods from the C list, which is red meat or more carbs etc.

What you do if you still need to lose weight as in my case is just stay on. I will have on crazy day at the beginning of the next six weeks and then keep on with the MTM.

I haven't started the 2 18 min work out sessions yet. Yesterday I watched the video on how to do the exerecises properly. I think I will do them Mon. and Thur. There is set 1 you do on one day and set 2 you do on the next.

I barely can eat all the food though if I count out calories it is not a lot or points but somehow I am feeling stuffed. I think the big key is not having any white flour things or sugar...which is the same as the what would J. eat diet.

I like the tapes...MT explains what is happening so well.

Have a good day everyone!

Angry Good Morning,

judi, that is wonderful you are so enthused about MT's woe. I think it's how many times you are eating a day plus the combination of foods that you are eating is why you're not hungry. I went into his website and noticed you could do a free blueprint. I was curious as to what type I was and answered the questions.....a number of times. The first time I answered them I turned out to be a D. I had just skimmed over what it said. Later on I wanted to read it over, went back into his site, answered the questions..again...this time it said I was an E. I thought....HMMM, this is interesting. So I did it a third time thinking, I had probably either not checked or checked a box on the first time around, and whichever type came up, D or E that would be it. Well...the 3rd time I was a C! To make a long story short, I did it 2 more times many hrs. apart. I think C is the answer! As you can tell I have nothing else better to do.

Cheryl, it's good to have you back again. Did you enjoy yourself on your vacation?

Have a great day everyone.

Hi everyone!
Judi--Sounds like you're having a great time with MT. Glad to hear it arrived and catch your enthusiasm! LAWL promote 5 mini-meals, not every 2 hours--but I'm sure both serve to keep our metabolism up and burning. LAWL doesn't want you to eat later than 4 hours before bedtime--THAT was a big change, but my evening tv snacking did get me in trouble. The Woman's Diet book says all over 50 women may never be able to tolerate carbs--but I'm finding that the 2 allowed by LA haven't prevented my losing. Speaking of 50s--congrads on your birthday!!!! Sounds like you did it up right.

Alice--Thanks for congrads on grandbaby and weight loss--baby and mommy are doing great--me too, lost another 2 lbs. at yesterday's weigh-in. Can finally feel it in my clothes. I don't remember a size 8 ever (what's a 2?), born an 11/12 I think.

My DH keeps saying, "Don't buy any more food--we're leaving for vacation," but we dieters need our fresh fruits and veggies. I need pick up mushrooms and peppers this morning to make evening shrimp kabobs. Weather permitting (or not) they'll be on the grill. It's scheduled to rain every evening this week!

Have you tried Talapia fish? It's great--no fish smell/taste. I spray a nonstick pan with PAM and that spray, no-calorie butter and cook it on medium.

Have a great week that sees us all thinner. Cher
