Hi everyone! Cheryl - great to have you back. Wow, a loss on vacation - hat's off to you.

Everyones trips sound fun. Judi, yours sounds divine. I love the ocean! Breathe in some of that good salt air for me.

Alice, it is amazing how time flies when you are having fun. Glad you have another visit w/ your cousin to look forward to.

All quiet on the home front. Last week was a real struggle for me dietwise. This week I seem to have myself together a little more. Actually, I have just been down in the dumps a bit. I am not really sure what is wrong but I have just been moody and upset lately. I need to get away and it is just not in my budget. We will take a little trip in-state next week when the play is over.

Work is just around the corner. I am going in today to start getting myself organized.

Take care.

Angry Good morning,

We have been having such nice weather. Yesterday it was a bit fallish, more like the beginning of Sept. than the last of July. You could see the steam rising off the lake in the early morning, and the fog in the valleys. It really is pretty to look at especially at a certain farm and see the cows moving around in the fog. AHHH, fall!

ledom, I am sorry that you have been down in the dumps. I hope you are feeling better now. That trip in state is just the ticket to lift your spirits. Where are you planning to go? How is the play going?

Hope you all are doing well.

Thanks Alice, I am already feeling better. I love fall and though it is mid-summer, I can catch a hint of it too. It is more about the vegetation I am seeing than the temperature, but I know it is just around the corner.

Morning girls, How is it going?

I have reached the end of my 6 week C3 exercise. Actually I am a couple days shy but just have to stop. I am tired! I am not planning to lift for a week to a week and a half. I have 2 1/2 more workouts to complete the 6 weeks but just am not doing it. I have to say my BRx experience wasn't what I hoped for. I am exactly the same weight as when I started! I did gain about 7 lbs. the first 12 weeks before I modified the plan and did manage to lose it again. I will say I lost up to 1 1/2" to 3/4" in all the points I measured and I can tell from flexing I did probably gain muscle and lose fat though it doesn't reflect on the scale.

Angry Saturday....

ledom, you probably did gain muscle and that's why no weight loss showed up on your scale. I bet you did lose a lot of size though. What will you do next, go back to BFL? I know a while back you were looking again at PMD, will you be doing that again?

I have started back exercising, but have no idea what I would like to do dietwise. I guess I'm just not in a dieting frame of mind.

Have a great weekend ladies!

Morning Alice-

I have a diet that is very much like BFL, but slightly lower in calories that I plan to try. Instead of having carbs 6 times a day I am going to have them 4 times a day. I am not sure the lifting scheme I'll use just yet. Since I'll be going back to work soon I need to think about what will work w/ my schedule best. Now I am lifting 4 days a week but I might go back to 3. I do plan to walk a couple of miles every day. I sure want the weather to cool off because that is keeping me from doing as much walking as I'd like to now. I might drag out a video or something to help w/ the cardio. BUT, I am now in the process of enjoying a week off from exercise and diet. I have a goal to maintain while I am on this sabbatical and then to really hit it hard again. I am so ready for this rest! I am going to get my BFL book out again to review for inspiration.

How is everyone else doing?

I know what you mean about not being in the dieting frame of mind. It is so nice not to be thrown into a tailspin when someone invites you for lunch. On the other hand, I am not willing to do anything to jepordize my small success so I'll be trying to do everything in balance on this break week.

Default LA Weight Loss

Does anyone here do LA Weight Loss anymore? I went to the threads with that name but didn't see any talk of the program. I have been on it for about 4 weeks and am looking for others who are still interested in it. I love this website but just getting used to finding things here. Its all very interesting.

I'm BACK!!!!

Alice--I love New Hampshire!! Ok, the poeple up there are so friendly! And y'all drive much better than we do. I picked up one of those real estate guides, though, and I don't think I'll be moving up there anytime soon!!! $$$$ Whew! It'd almost be worth it, though, because I had absolutely no asthma, sinus, breathing problems the whole time I was there!

Spent most of the time in MA. That was great, too. Loved the ocean (went to the beach in Maine). The weather was PERFECT the whole time I was there! NO humidity (which I'll credit w/the lack of breathing/sinus problems) and the temps. were in the mid-high 70's.

I am SO ready to go back!!

I did gain weight, though. Around 7 pounds Gotta work extra hard over the next few weeks, I guess!!

Bought the Body for Life book for $5.99 at a mall in MA. Got a bargain--want to start using it at the beginning of Sept.

Hope y'all are doing great!!

Default Monday afternoon....

Cheryl, welcome back! I'm glad that you liked NH. Where in NH & MA did you go? I originally came from MA before moving to NH. Ya, houses are pretty expensive up here. You're very lucky you aren't here this week because it's awfully humid and we are having some on and off heavy rain. 7 lbs isn't bad, you'll get them off in no time.

ledom, how is your week going so far without dieting or exercising? It is nice to have a break. What I do if I go out to lunch and have exactly what I want, is trade off at another meal. I will either have a salad or heat up some soup. When do you go back to work?

judi, hope you're having a good time on your trip.

dsgll, welcome to our little group. All of us are doing different plans. Please tell us a little about yourself. Looking forward to hearing from you again.

Enjoy the rest of the day!

Hey, Alice!!

Pretty quiet around here lately, huh? I traveled mostly in the eastern part of New Hampshire (and MA for that matter)--towns, hummm, let's see.....Nashua? in NH and the hotel was in North Attleboro, MA. Also drove thru Lexington & Concord (stopped at the park there) and Boston (cause I almost ran out of gas and HAD to!!). Basically, I just stuck to the Interstates 95 and 93. Didn't plan enough time to go everywhere I wanted Next time I'll know better!!

Hey ledom and judi!!!!!

Ledom--I'll be in Hot Springs next week! Can't wait to go to Tuesday Morning and check out all the BARGAINS!!

Hi ladies, judi - you are getting really close to my neck of the woods. Glad you are having fun. Cheryl, glad you had fun on your trip and that you enjoy Hot Springs, the Arlington is such fun.

Work starts on the 22nd of this month, but my room is ready to be put back together so I'll be going in 2 or 3 days this week to work on that. Tomorrow will be my official start date to get back on the program w/ food and exercise. I am eating on plan today but will start exercising tomorrow. I am not sure what workouts yet, got to figure that out today.

I promise to start posting more. I have been slack the last few weeks, but look forward to getting back into the groove w/ accountability to you guys.

Hope you all have a good weekend.

Angry Rain rain go away!

We have had just about 2 weeks of this weather. It is sooo humid and we are having torrential downpours at times. We just can't seem to get out of this weather pattern. DH has been keeping track of our rain gauge and we've had almost 5" of rain during the week. They say this weather pattern should break by Wed. I hope so.

judi, good to hear from you. You really are doing some traveling. Glad you're enjoying yourself.

ledom, it doesn't seem possible that you'll be going back to work a week from this coming Fri. Where has the summer gone??? How did the exercising go?

Cheryl, Nashua, NH is about 1 1/2 hr. give or take...drive south from where I live. Did you stop at the Pheasant Lane Mall while you were there? That's a great mall. I have a cousin who lives in Lexington (not the one who comes for her 2 week vacation). Did you see anything in Boston while you were there? Have a good time in Hot Springs.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Hey Alice and the rest of the gang. Ugh, sounds like too much rain! We have had the most pleasant summer this year. It hasn't gotten really really hot yet and now that it is mid-August, maybe it won't. We could use a little rain now, but it has been pretty steady throughout the summer w/ no real drought.

Yesterday I started back w/ food. Today I did my first Upper Body Workout. It felt great. Glad to be back in the groove. I am going back to BFL for this next go around. I hope to add a little extra cardio and eliminate a few carbs. Wish me luck, cause I sure could use it. I plan to have free meal instead of free day for this challenge.

This is the final stretch into my 50th b'day. Hope I can be proud of myself on that day w/ some major pounds lost by then.

Just a quick check-in this a.m. I am happy to be back w/ BFL, it feels right. Just finished my morning walk and will be showering and going in to work in a bit.

I am so tired of spinning my wheels w/ dieting. It is obvious I need to go to greater extremes to get rid of body fat. It seems that it take a lot for me to just keep the status quo, no use complaining. I have been trying to come up w/ some ideas that will finally make the difference. I am going to start paying more attention to numbers. One idea is to make a graph to chart my weight. That was really helpful to me years ago when I was doing DietCenter. That is the one time I lost major lbs., of course I didn't keep it off but I am thinking back to what I was doing then. I know it was way low on carbs. I believe I will also set some goal weights to reach. Just small increments.

Fall is always a good time for me to start new things so here goes.

D and I went to see Pirates of the Caribbean yesterday. What fun! If you are a Johnny Depp fan this is the movie, he has lots of screen time. I hate sword fight movies, but somehow if it is JD doing the scenes it is ok!

You traveling girls be careful on the road.
