.Why am I doing the 17 day diet? For me its sort of a detox. I used to eat a lot of processed prepackaged food and by doing this plan its allowed me to get back to the basics. I suppose I could of just cut out all the bad stuff and added more of the good stuff, but I needed something to guide me, this book gives me that. I'm not gonna lie, I haven't ate perfectly, this is a lifestyle change for me not just a quick fix. So if I want to have a piece of cake on special occasions I allow myself to, but I know that I can't do it everyday and that I'll go back to my healthy eating right after I eat my treat. I'm glad to say I'm on C2D6 and I've lost 11.5lbs so far.
Beachplum- I believe it was you that commented on my weightloss. I started by counting calories and exercising. With working fulltime and having two small children I found it hard to find time to keep track of my calories, not to mention I hit a plateau back in August of last year. By starting 17 day I dont have to worry about my calorie counts and I've broke through that plateau. Good luck on your weightloss.
