Default I think my scale is trying to flatter me.

It's been a little while since I've been on the scale. I'm sort off of and on watching calories and I've hopped on the moving more wagon (I started c25k last week and I've been working a lot around the house and garden... a determined effort to move more every day, but not exactly exercise.) I went to Olive Garden sunday and had a cheese manicotti for lunch. Breadsticks and all. I had half for lunch; half for dinner. That's the only meal and I'm pretty sure it's was still like 3 days worth of calories. So I was feeling guilty after mulling over it for a full day yesterday and decided this morning I'd weigh in and start fresh. Only my scale is reading 11 pounds less than my last weigh in. (It's been about a month.) I rather like that number on there, lol! I want to accept whats there, but part of me says it can't possibly be right and I need a new scale! Accept it or Toss it for a new one? (and I am soooo not going to go try one of those public scales, like at the market, to test the accuracy of my scale! )

Try putting something on the scale that you know the weight of--a dumbell, a 5 lb bag of flour, whatever. If the scale gives you the right number, then be thrilled with those 11 pounds!

Well, was it accurate? I had the same experience a couple of months ago, my scale was going down 2-3 lbs a week, for 2 months!! I was almost to my goal weight and so confused, cause I hadn't lost very much size....needless to say, my instinct was correct when I bought a new scale, lol! Hope that ISN"T the case with you!

It was NOT accurate. Lol. I enjoyed the loss for a day though. It wasn't off 11lb's though either - it's off about 6. I'll be happy over a 5lb loss though. I'm going to avoid the scale for a bit. It toys with my happiness! I was perfect on the 15th and 16th and today when I realised that my scale was wrong - I totally binged. All.Day.Long.
