Sweetcaroline - I'm bored. When is the first pitch?

Slashnl 12-07-2012 10:31 AM

Come on Bill, aren't you the one who usually knows that stuff? I think you should come up with a count down to first pitch!! :)

Yep Big Bird you got Choate, the Dodgers really wanted to keep him....

The whole baseball world on hold waiting to see who Greinke will sign with....

Dodgers said they would make him highest paid player but it isnt always about the money...

Or is it?

He's really not a great pitcher.

Well that's just my opinion.

As for the money I think a million will go further in Texas than California.

And yeah it's always about the money and their egos.

Evidently no amount is crazy anymore in sports!

And what do the rest of us do if they buy them all?

Will the Dodgers have a "A" team and a "B" team and just play all by themselves? I don't think the Rockies could keep up with their B team!

I read it on the Internet:
Quote:

the NHL will report today that all games through Dec. 30th are gone
OK, back to winter baseball - hard to believe it's more interesting than hockey.

The way they are going they will have 2 teams in the NL West.

Don't be surprised to see Clayton Kershaw offered $30 million a year to extend his contract.

$$$ is everything in sports. Look at college football this year, $50 million going to be paid to fired coaches to NOT coach.

But as we all know from the Yankees $$$$$ doesn't buy championships...but it does...usually...give you a fighting chance!
