I thought about reading JK Rowling's Casual Vacancy but got scared off by the reviews. If it turns out I agree with the critics then it would taint her other books for me. (I had this happen with another beloved author and am not going to take the chance - weird but there it is.)
Am reading Mad River by John Sandford.
Finished An Idiot's Guide to World War 1 - research for my project of transcribing all my Grandfather's letters home from WW1. Stunning and to think they did it all again in about 20 years. Making them into a booklet for the great grandchildren.
Ahhh, I really loved those books! Actually they're what made me start running a few months ago, so that I would survive a bit longer if I ever had to participate
How are you liking them?
Love them! read the first 2 books in a couple days.. (before I started school.. LOL) The third is taking a bit longer because of school.. But yeah I'm loving the books! I watched the movie first because my mom wanted too and I was hooked!
I am reading A History of the Scottish People by TC Smout. I am working on my family history, and my family comes from Scotland.
I am also re-reading all my diet books. I guess you would call it inspirational reading. LOL.
I am listening to Trickster's Point, by William Kent Kruger and performed by David Chandler. This is a mystery series with a native American slant to it. I am listening to it while I walk. I have to discipline myself to leave it alone except for walking.
SerenityDiva: I am enjoying it so far!! Not read too much of it yet, but it seems to really tap into my eating habits. I'll keep you updated!
Froggydawgy: I am avoiding the Casual Vacancy for the same reasons!! I'm so nervous that it will be rubbish!!
imnotperfect24: Cool!! I prefer the books to the film, as I actually found the film to be quite slow paced in places, which works fine in the books, but less so in the film! That's probably just me though!! I LOVE Jennifer Lawrence so that helps!

Thanks! I have a lot on my Kindle, but I'm finding if something doesn't grab me I just move to the next LOL. I did like the part I downloaded, but honestly I think I'm too chicken to do the work.
I am currently reading Doc by Mary Doria Russell, Crimes by Moonlight by assorted authors and getting ready to start The Mark of Athena by Rick Riordan. My husband gets mad because I can read 5 books at a time and keep all the stories straight, lol.
I've read the full 50 Shades trilogy and I liked the first two books the best. The third was good, my mother blasted through them and made me read them
Anyways I just finished up the 5 Love Languages and am about to pick out a Frank Peretti book my mother in law gave me. Can't remember the name though, I'll double check.
I LOVE Frank Peretti - did you read "The Oath" ? Long but good!
