Does anyone know of a good way to get fiber and whole grains in my diet other than wheat bread and wild rice? thanks.

Just about any fruit or vegetable is high in fiber...if you eat apples, leave on the skin-it is full of fiber! Kashi brand cereals, Frosted Shredded Wheat/Frosted Mini-Wheats, Bakers Breakfast Cookies, oatmeal-even the flavored ones.

I love this as a snack:

½ c. unsweetened applesauce
1 pk sweetner
cinnamom and/or allspice to taste

warm for 1 minute in the micro; top with 2 Tblsp Grape-nuts.


It's really good, tastes like warm apple pie. It's only 100 cal, .11g fat or 1 ww point but 2.82g of fiber (about 9% of what you need daily)). It's not going to fulfill all that you need but it's a lot for the serving and the calories!
