Ok girlies, we are going to do it!!

I am done with excuses I have made for myself. I am ready to reclaim my life back!

If we stick together and be honest, we will make it. Bad days, good days, ups and downs. Personally I need a good kick on my you know where every now and then...so if I start whining, please feel free to kick me. I promise to return the favor.

So, I am going to list all the fabulous things that happen to me each day, and draw strength from it.

Morning ladies,

A new fabulous day ahead! Here is Michigan snow is falling down beautifully, and I am about to get some "oxygen treatment" with Shadow my dog!
We will power walk for 4 miles.

I am happy that is Thursday and long weekend is just a day away, and I am heading for up north with 4 of my favorite kids plus my favorite fur-baby.

I will keep a food diary and I promise to drink 64 oz. of water today.

How about you ladies? What is your exercise for the day?

My 20 minute HIIT (High intensity interval training) cardio exercise is done and out of the way. I usually get to the gym between 5:15-6:00. My meals are all nicely planned for the day. I need to get some more strawberries though for my 6th meal of the day which is almost always blended cottage cheese and strawberries.

My first mini goal is 190 and I am going shopping for my size 12's in my garage! I have soooooooooooooooo many clothes out there that I can go for a month without having to wear the same thing twice. I've been very resistant to buy new clothes at my current size.

Good luck ladies!

Sue, you have a fab day planned ahead! I love the feeling when old clothes start fitting again, they are like long lost friends that I have missed dearly. You go girl!!

I did my walk, and it was soooo difficult. I was actually teary eyed. We received almost 8 inches of snow, and my trail was snow covered, and noone had paved the way. We only walked 3 miles, because it was like a bootcamp. It took us 50 minutes, and I am drenched! I feel great now, and I am proud of myself that I did it.

Sum, you are definitely an inspiration. I run to my car every morning to get to the gym because it's so cold (30 degrees or so) and you're walking in SNOW. Now THAT'S what I call motivation and determination! I'm going to turn that "You go girl" back on you!!

I'll think about you whenever I want to stay in bed because it's warmer there than going through the cold to get to the gym!

Good job on the walk Sum! We have ice our way-so I'm avoiding the outdoors if possible. What kind of doggie do you have?

Sue-what do you do at the gym for your HIIT? I am looking for something to break up my gym routine. Woohoo on the size 12s! I haven't been there since about 8th grade!

I went to the gym last night, so I stayed in this morning. I got up on time, but it was 10 degrees outside and the roads are still a bit dicey. I did work out with some MJ Experience on the Wii though.

My accomplishment/good thing to share is that I weighed at the gym last night. I normally weigh on Mondays, but we were iced in, so last night was my first opportunity. I weighed right after dinner and it showed that I've lost 8.8lbs since starting again on 01/03/11! YAY! So excited! I also figured out that my iPhone calorie counter is counting my milk for cereal in with the cereal calories, so I went in and deleted the milk entries and feel MUCH better about my calorie intake over the last week.

Today I have a docs appt at 2. I've had some leftover conjestion and drainage since battling a cold about 3 weeks ago. It's causing my chest to feel tight and me to feel generally crummy, so I'm gonna check it out. Also gonna clip my coupons and plan my meals for the next week so I can hit the store tonight or tomorrow.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Congrats Manda!! That's Awesome! That always feels great to see those numbers move after you've put so much effort into it!

I'm onto the elliptical now, it's different when I'm on the treadmill.

Both are a 2 minute warm up and a 1 minute cool down. Keep in mind this is what I do NOW when I first started it was 1 mph less for each minute

Treadmill
0:00-2:00 3.5 mph
2:00-3:00 4.0 mph
3:00-4:00 4.5
4:00-5:00 5.0
5:00-6:00 5.5
Repeat minutes 2-6 4 times
18:00-19:00 6.0
19:00-20:00 cool down

Elliptical
0:00-2:00 3.5ish mph resistance level 1
2:00-3:00 3.8ish mph resistance level 9
3:00-4:00 4.2ish mph resistance level 11
4:00-5:00 5.0 ish mph resistance level 13
5:00-6:00 4.6ish mph resistance level 15
Repeat minutes 2-6 4 times
18:00-19:00 4.3ish mph resistance level 17
19:00-20:00 cool down

It's harder on the elliptical to keep at a steady pace mph wise so it varies, I try to push hard to reach my 10's and I can feel it. By the end of my workout I can't go another step and my heart rate is above 180.

I never do over 20 minutes so I love my cardio days. I'll do something like Zumba in the afternoons if I have time, or I just put on my ipod and dance to salsa, merengue, bachata, Arabic, Turkish, or Indian music. Those keep me moving for a long while after I've finished cooking.

How is your water intake going today?

I am a bit slow, at 40 oz right now.

Manda; yay, and double yay on your weight loss!
I lost 6 pounds during the first nine days, now I have not lost any during the last four days, but because I am a goddess, my monthly visitor is almost near...I may be just a bit bloated.
