I liked the Mothman Prophesies too. We just watched Dark Water, which is definitely creepy, in the same vein as The Ring (both have Japanese roots). I love Arsenic and Old Lace. Another one is Gaslight (in the old movie vein, and Hound of the Baskervilles). The Others with Nicole Kidman. The Haunting in Connecticut is not bad. Have fun!
The Sixth Sense
Nosferatu (silent movie but it has old organ music as a soundtrack)
The Lost Boys (so funny and creepy, too)
Dracula (original w/ Bela Lugosi)
i second (or third, or whatever) Nosferatu and Gaslight, Rosemary's Baby, Hitchcock films... i like classics. Arsenic and Old Lace isn't scary, but I will watch Cary Grant any day, hour, second! Oh, and my FAVORITE Halloween scene is in "Meet Me in St. Louis," with Judy Garland. Halloween was for kids, and their imaginations, and the trick-or-treat scene in this movie is thrilling!
The Fourth kind was pretty creepy, I watched it tonight. It's the sort of creepy where you watch it and say "well this really isn't that scary" but then later that night you're like "...I'm going to sleep with the lights on."
For me, anyway.
I had to let ya know, I am watching that movie and now and yeah, creepy Thanks for the suggestion
our halloween movies are Shaun of the Dead and Zombieland- they are super gorey but also freaking hilarious. so maybe not your thing.
for creepy i go Japanese and Korean. 4 extremes, Audition, Ringu- so good, Tale of two sisters was good too.
for the oldies- i looooved arsenic and old lace too! and hush hush sweet charlotte. meet me in st louis i always think of as a christmas movie but it's my alltime favorite old movie and the halloween scene is awesome.
