No computer for the last three days...

Last night looked much better for us than Monday. Monday was horrific.

Well Bill they got the memo today and got their first win.

At least we won the series.

Ouch, the Red Sox lost 8 - zip last night. That's zip as in zero, none, 0, nada, 0.0. None at all.

Sweetcaroline - do something. Nine innings without a run is such a pain.

We are going to the game tonight against the Mets.

It's been quiet in here. I thought Gary would be posting about their win last night.

Caroline get that computer sorted whatever you've done to it.

Yesterday's game was rough. 5-0 against the Mets. We really couldn't get one run???
On to Atlanta tonight. I won't see much of it because of my son's little league game.

Just got back from the game. Cards won.

A pitching duel up to the 7th inning. Grand Slam Lopez. Cards win 4-3.

Fireworks night tonight. Good stuff.

We had a lot of games when he pitched you just knew were going to be bad and now he's with the Giants. Wonder how long they will keep him?

Gary they came back in the ninth probably gave you a scare.

Got offered tickets to Sunday's game, but can't make it... know the man throwing out the first pitch. If it weren't the weekend of Freaknick I might have tried harder to make it work - may or may not be traffic problems in ATL this weekend, but I didn't want to risk it.

Good night for my boys last night, not so good of an ending for Diane's... They put up a good fight, though! How did the little league game go, Diane?

NOPE!....Heck I went to bed when it was 9-2.....sure glad I did otherwise I would have been PO'd all night!

This is unreal.

Game started 3.10 this afternoon.

They are now in the 18th inning. No score.

Felipe Lopez is now pitching. He has never pitched before. Kyle Lohse our number 4 starter is in the outfield. Lopez just got 3 outs. I have no idea who is left on the bench.

Bottom of the 18th about to start.

So Mather an outfielder pitches in the 19th gives up one run.

18 pitchers used so far in this game. We have a game tomorrow thank goodness it's at night.

And we are tied up 1-1.

On to the 20th inning.

Question Bill or Gary could they bring in a starter to pitch in a game like this?

I am not sure.

Well that answered my question.

Mets brought in a starter in the 20th and win the game.

Glad I wasn't at this game. 7 hours.

20 innings 19 pitchers.

The sad thing is the 2 starters had a great pitching duel and that has all but been forgotten.

Good grief, Clydegirl, 20 innings is some game. Using an outfielder to pitch? This isn't Little League, LOL.

Thank you for the distraction, since it's so unpleasant to acknowledge that the Red Sox lost two in one evening to Tampa Bay.

Would you please stop tinkering so much. That double switch last night pulling Matt Holliday was crazy. Walk Albert and pitch to the bullpen guys, happened twice with the bases loaded.

Lets hope they are rested for tonight's game which is on ESPN, aagghhhh no not again. I like baseball on a Sunday afternoon.

Thanks for asking about little league. It's all in the pitching... we won 22-4. They had nothing for pitching. Those games are hard to watch. While I love to win, you don't want to see the other team get crushed. (At least in Little League. Another story in the Big League!!!)
The sad part is that I only got to see half of the last inning. Would have been a fun one to watch all the way through. Ubaldo's amazing!!
That was a crazy game. I felt sorry for you! You hate to lose a 20 inning game.
Rough times for the Red Sox. They'll snap out of it, though. I miss Sweet Caroline!!
