Well, I survived Bday week. Didn't get into any trouble, but, probably started some. Thank heavens I don't have to go to work. But, I think I'll go harass a couple of my friends who do.
So, fair warning, I WILL be here for the final countdown.
I'm off to Toronto for a few days to be wined and dined by my sister and brother. It's a very belated birthday celebration and I have absolutely no intention of behaving myself. I may even smoke a nostalgic joint when we wander through Yorkville.
See y'all Sunday evening. Have a good weekend.
Have a great time. But I dont think joints and Yorkville and the same as they use to be. Yorkville is so full of Harry Rosen, and Ashley and what every other snooty retails labels are out now. I love going to Queen St W. Its really come along way. I lived there in the 1990s when they started to renovate the Gladstone hotel and many other places. A joint would fit in nicely there! LOL
Karen sorry for your loss
Ronni - hugs
Bill welcome back, glad you had a safe vacay
Gary today is one of those my kids better grow up fast days. Get your dd a great big hug!
Operator & dd - Happy Birthday! Glad you enjoyed yourself despite the coppers!
Nope, it's all the alcohol leaving. Our friends have pretty much kept us drunk since Tuesday. I'm just glad it's over with and I can go back to being just plain, old, boring Mom.
It's been cooking here too. I'm fighting like **** to keep my new roses from being turned into burning bushes. But, the weeds, they aren't having any problems.

Karen, I just read back and want to offer you my condolences. Losing a parent is really hard and we also have to face the reality of being grown up.
Had a great weekend in Toronto and Oakville. Saw Jersey Boys and think it was one of the best shows I've ever seen - and, having worked in theatre, I've seen lots. Didn't see much garbage lying around Toronto but certainly heard the Honda "Indy" near the station yesterday. Had a great time at my brother's place in Oakville. He really did it up for my belated birthday - fireworks and three pipers plus an absolutely delicious cake. I hope I live to enjoy my 80th in ten years.
