As for shape I'd say hourglass, which will hopefully still be true as I lose my last 10 pounds

I'm 27, female 6'2" and currently weigh 298.6 (Finally broke 300!) I'm fitting into a 5 yellow in Lane Bryant jeans, which is about a 22. I can wear an 18/20 top but I typically buy 22/24 because my tummy is huge! I'm very apple shaped right now and most of my weight loss is off my face, chest and legs/butt but not as much around the middle. At my highest, 330 I was wearing a 26 pant, and a 26/28 top. I'm trying to get back to 170 and the last time I weighed that I was a 14. I wonder with vanity sizing if I'll actually be able to wear 12s!

At my highest I was 290ish, and wore a tight 24, and refused to by 26.

I'm now 246 lbs, and am wearing a size 20 jeans right now. I have one pair of 18 cords that fit.

At my smallest adult weight, I was around 175, and wore a 14/16.

I'm 5'7"

I am 6' 3" and thrilled to see someone else with the same weight vs length issues when buying clothing! I don't have much luck with Lane Bryant - pants are too short for me! Most of my pants come from Long Elegant Legs or the Ultra Talls at J.C. Penney (both from on-line, never in the stores). Chicos has a 3.5 tall and if you're near any of their outlet malls you can get jeans in the $20s. J.Jill skirts & tops are great - though pricey!
