Well, like Ruth pointed out, it is not my recipe--I found it on the South Beach phase 1 dinners sticky. Amazing the things you'll find around here.

Operator265 01-28-2009 04:23 PM

I have been LOVING going thru the Recipe Threads here lately. Just found 101 ways to make chicken. That'll help me out later. Welp, gotta go get Salmon for my smoker. Can y'all hear Bill salivating?

Ruthxxx 01-28-2009 04:27 PM

I love smoked salmon and had some for lunch on rye bread with cream cheese and capers! Yum! Salsa chicken for dinner again, I think.

Hattie22 01-28-2009 04:45 PM

I love grilled salmon and I am still grilling outdoors even though there is like 4 inches of snow...or now slush.

I had some Bell and Evans chicken sausage with rosemary and didn't know what to do with it. I cooked it in the frying pan and added asian steamed veggies, brown rice, and a little light soy sauce. It was great!! Quick, easy, and delicious...just the way I like it! Gotta love those dishes that you make up and they turn out great!

Can Bill be silly? Can Bill relax? Or is he too worried about being the last one to post?

Slashnl 01-28-2009 05:50 PM

So if Bill is silly... does he become Gary?

snow day here! woo hoo!

WebRover 01-28-2009 08:15 PM

Just got here. Can you save some smoked salmon for me? I'll be right over.

Operator265 01-28-2009 08:42 PM

Yum, yum. All gone. This smoker is gonna get a workout around here. Think I'll try chicken on my next days off. Veggies are good smoked. May try cheese too, but, that could become an addiction. I'll have to be careful. Tomorrow, tortilla soup, but I think I'm gonna use the pork roast I have left over. Should be good.

JuliaDH 01-28-2009 11:17 PM

Looks like we are back to the food porn topic!

lalique 01-29-2009 03:59 AM

....I'm lost... What is threadkiller?

PearFreak 01-29-2009 08:29 AM

lalique--- it is a nontopic conversation, beware though this thread can be addicting and if you get on topic you might shutter at the outcome of it .... hop on in, join us in our non-topic topics.

PearFreak 01-29-2009 08:29 AM

Howdy peoples.... it is Thursday!!! The weekend is in sight.... oh I see it, I see it, it is creeping up.

Slashnl 01-29-2009 08:53 AM

Lalique, we all strive to be the threadkiller. There's some kind of magic in being the very last one to post on a thread.
Sometimes people cheat to be the last one.
Sometimes it has to be the moderator who shuts it down. (at 500+ posts)
But the point is ... well, there is NO point... but we keep posting until we reach the end.

Other than that, there's no topic, no reason to post, just randomness. Whatever comes to your mind. Nothing heavy here, just lighthearted fun. Bill sometimes gets his feelings hurt, but he gets over it, too.

Ruthxxx 01-29-2009 09:14 AM

Hmm....as a superMod I could close this thread when it gets close to 500 and then take PM's with bribes to re-open and let people post and be the threadkiller! Bribes could be Scotch, Score chocolate bars or sexual favours - the latter being somewhat limited. I might settle for a back rub.

Would this be considered an abuse of power? Please say no!

Operator265 01-29-2009 09:30 AM

The premise of ThreadKiller is to post something so insane, obnoxious and/or stupid that no one can follow it up, thereby "killing" the thread. You know, the way everyone feels when they first join 3FC and threads keep dying right after they post in them. Turns out, there is a whole batch of insane, obnoxious and/or stupid fatties on this site and we revel in the insanity and each other.:dizzy::jig::joker::spin::hat::dance::flow2: :tantrum::bomb::sssh::twirly::nose::hyper::tired:: yikes::stars::mag::whoo::rofl::crazy::lol3::frypan ::bike::coffee2:

srmb60 01-29-2009 09:31 AM

I think it was in my contract Ruth.

KimL1214 01-29-2009 09:46 AM

I usually pull muscles when I do cartwheels

Ruthxxx 01-29-2009 09:49 AM

Did I ask for cartwheels? Nice to know you can do them though.

I need to get back to real life for a while. I'm having way too much fun! Guess I'll go and clean the veggie crisper.

KimL1214 01-29-2009 09:51 AM

Can do round offs too, usually bounce a couple times afterwards though...

Operator265 01-29-2009 09:57 AM

My contract stated pool boys and chocolate. Who got stuck with Scotch. She musta spread THAT bribe amongst several TKs in order to keep up.

JuliaDH 01-29-2009 10:27 AM

:flow1::flow2:Good Morning! :flow2::flow1:

alinnell 01-29-2009 11:39 AM

Random is good.

Who was the original threadkiller? I don't remember.

Slashnl 01-29-2009 12:12 PM

Good question, Allison. I remember when this first started, someone was trying to claim the threadkiller crown and everyone else jumped in to try to take it away. Who was that? I don't have patience (or skill) to look all the way back.

Ruthxxx 01-29-2009 12:58 PM

Here's the "original". Bill should have killed it with his boring post #500 but I wasn't around. It carried on for another 15 posts until Mighty Meg killed it!

KimL1214 01-29-2009 01:01 PM

lunch time

alinnell 01-29-2009 02:30 PM

I just wasted 30 minutes reading reviews on the Bic Crystal pen on the UK Amazon.com

OMG! Fascinating. Recommended reading if you need a quick laugh.http://www.amazon.co.uk/Crystal-Ball...=cm_cr_pr_pb_t

Ruthxxx 01-29-2009 03:25 PM

Did you hear about the gypsy who was born with a glass eye?
His father had a crystal ball.

Sorry - it was in memory of my Dad who was buried 11 years ago today.

388 by the way - in case you can't read.

srmb60 01-29-2009 04:30 PM

Our $10 bill is purple. Did you know that?

KimL1214 01-29-2009 04:38 PM

woohoo school's over!!!

JuliaDH 01-29-2009 04:48 PM

Our kids have a PA day tomorrow. So its a long weekend for us! Got them all booked for play dates. DH and I can play when the kids are away! HAha TMI eh?

PearFreak 01-29-2009 04:50 PM

Oh Mighty mighty crystal ball... please tell me who shall be the silliest of them all?? Me? Ruth? Bill? Operator? Kim? Susan? Allison? Who might it be? Who gets this title?

Ruthxxx 01-29-2009 05:18 PM

Congrats Hattie22

50 pounds is one major milestone.

Now will you tell your puppy to stop staring at me.

froggie83 01-29-2009 07:59 PM

can this thread be dead by the end of january? 102 posts in two days?
a drawn-out back and forth discussion of it might help

JuliaDH 01-29-2009 08:01 PM

Yes, it is possible

Operator265 01-29-2009 08:04 PM

We easily banged out a 60 post day trying to give Ruthie a Bday gift. I think it can be done.

And, Bill's a cheater who can't even pee standing up.
