I heard there was a lot of good people in San Diego, of the ones who got through to Hollywood.

Felt so bad for the guy who forgot the words. He made it through to Hollywood but he won't get another chance if he forgets them again.

I think I might be able to actually watch a full show since its been on this season tomorrow night. I'm crossing my fingers!

I liked the voice of the guy who kept forgetting the words, but I was surprised Simon gave him so many chances. Simon really is much nicer this year.

I liked the sort of rocker guy -- he had a good voice and good control over his voice. He seemed more mature than most of the other contestants.

I didn't even see it LisaMarie and I chose both! Well I can safely say I will be able to watch the show tonight. I didn't want to jinx anything because I've been having problems staffing two of my programs. I can safely say that one began at 7:00pm fully staffed. The other program follows it and it is the same staff. Whew!

That first girl from Okeechobee, FL. That's so funny. I have a brother and sister in law that live there. It's small. I was thinking before she sang just because you won in Okeechobee....

The 2 girls who went in together made me smile and good voices.

The girl who was on "American Juniors" (whatever that is) was the most annoying girl I've seen in a long time (and remember, I teach high school). I was so glad she didn't make it, because if I had to see and hear her for another minute I might have to rip out my eyelashes.

I think when Simon said "overindulged" that was an understatement.

The audition shows sound good...I may have to pop in soon to watch...LOL

Okay the fact that American Idol is on Tuesday nights and so is The Biggest Loser is killing me. I know, I know I should get TIVO or my cable system has DVR but I don't want digital cable just to get DVR. I had digital cable before and never watched them. I have expanded cable and that works for me. Here's hoping when American Idol goes down to one day a week that it will be on Wednesday nights. I can watch it tonight.

Okay why was AI and Biggest Loser on for 2 hours last night? That's okay AI is on again tonight and we get to find out who is in the Top 24. I have two faves but I don't know their names but here's hoping they make it to the top 24.

Okay I realized I have 3 faves and they are all through to the Top 24. I now need to learn their names.

There were people who made it to the top 24 that I have never seen or heard so far this season.

I really like the Australian and the 16 year old boy.

Yeah, I was surprised too to see so many new faces make the top 24. I was wondering where they've hidden these people so far. The nice thing about that is that we still have some surprises in terms of what they will sound like. Maybe there will be some really good ones. I was a little surprised that Josiah, the one who lives in his car, didn't make it. Even though he acted a bit like a spoiled child in Hollywood week, I thought they'd send him through for the drama factor of how he cries all the time. :lol: I like his voice in a weird way, but I think he would've done pretty awful with the way Idol is set up, performing with the band and doing all the cheesy songs they end up having contestants do.

I was pleased that they picked Joanna, the plus-size model, over Cardin, the very pretty girl, at the end. Cardin is so pretty I thought they'd pick her for the eye-candy factor. Joanna's beautiful too, though, and her voice is much better, so they made the right choice, I think. I like the Australian guy, but I don't know how long he'll last.

This is the first season I've really been able to watch from the beginning. I'm really into it! I really like 3 of the guys and I'm not crazy about any of the girls yet. I'll have to wait and see. I was also really glad when they pick Joanna over the other girl. I was dissappointed that Josiah didn't make it, but not surprised. He really didn't handle the pressure very well. I can't wait to see next week.

I was thrilled they picked Joanna too! :) I think she will do very well.

One of the top 24 is from the city I live in now--last name is carrico, but didn't catch his first name!

Oh Jen he is one of my faves and it turns out Britney's ex. Not a good sign but I like his voice. Joanna is beautiful and has a beautiful voice. Here comes the time when AI tries to take over your life. It is on 3 nights next week!

3 nights of idol this week. The boys are up first. I wish they had put through the one who wanted to be president, Kyle was that his name?

I do like the aussie but we haven't heard some of them so ask me after the show Tuesday and I will have a better idea of who I like.

i havent watched it for the past 2 seasons but this year i decided to watch again!

What did everyone think of the top 12 boys last night? I thought they sort of sucked in general. Lots of boring boys with blah voices. Some of them I'm really surprised made it to the top 12! I tended to agree with Simon on most of the things he said. I liked David Cook (the one who's sort of a rocker, with odd hair), Jason Castro (with the dreadlocks), and Michael Johns (I think that's his name - the Australian guy). They really were the only ones who were not completely forgettable. The young one, David Archuleta, was pretty good but I'm not as in love with him as the judges are. The ones who REALLY put me to sleep were the guy who looks like Leif Garrett and has the weird high voice, the attractive one who looks a little like Orlando Bloom (I think his name is Luke something), and the one who sang "Moon River." Boooooooooring!!! I hope the girls are a little more exciting!!

I liked Michael Johns (a lot!) and David Cook. The baby-faced hair one was boring and I can't stand the Elled deG lookalike who just looks and sounds faded to me. The Moon River guy was way too lounge singer for me - and I'm OLD.

(I really am 69. My kids and grandkids are shocked that I even watch Idol!)

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who thought the guys were mostly boring. I hope the girls do a lot better tonight!

I Tivo'd the show and only saw a little of it so far, but I usually like the girls more anyway. I don't know why, I think I just like female singers because I like to sing along with them (even though I suck). I agree though, what I saw was boring. And I didn't like Chekezie at all, I agreed with Simon that he sounded just old.

I only caught the last half of the show last night. The ones I did see I thought were pretty good. Some boring song choices for sure. I'm looking forward to seeing the girls sing tonite.

I thought many had good voices. I liked Michael Johns, David Cook, David Archuleta, Jason Castro and Danny Noreiga---and not necessarily in that order. For me, these are the top 5. Danny was not as good last night as he has been in the past. It was a poor song choice. I was pleasantly suprised by Jason's voice and ease on stage. Michael Johns is just gorgeous and has a voice. I just wanna pinch David A's cheeks and fix him a PBJ, milk and cookies.

The show was great last nighjt.. can't wait to see the Girld tonight. Should be good! AI is a great guilty pleasure!

I LOVE American Idol also, but the past two seasons I haven't been nearly as in to it! :( My husband only watches the first two weeks and the finale, while I'm more interested in the middle! I have to say that Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood are my favs too! Some of the other ones just make me wonder what people were thinking when they were voting!!!

I got home from the gym too late to watch the whole thing before I had to go to bed, ended on David Archuleta's performance. He is so cute, I just wanna pinch his cheeks and put him in my pocket! Hope I have time to finish the show tonight, maybe start the girls show. Thank goodness for DVR! Otherwise I'd never watch TV. :dizzy:

:lol: That's exactly what my friend and I said when we talked about the show today. He's a cute little thing. It was funny when Ryan said something about people calling in to adopt him. He was all giggly and happy when the judges gave him good comments. I don't think he's quite as good as they're saying, but he's good. His cuteness factor will take him a long way.

I listened to the radio on the way to work today and people were calling in about the show. So many people were saying they hated Danny Noriega. Now, I know he didn't do as well as he has been doing, but he does have a really good voice. They kept saying things like "He acts so feminine -- I just hate that." It was almost like the Homophobe Patrol was calling in, and they just hated him because it seems like hes gay. Scary. If you're going to hate a contestant, make it because they can't sing or they're dreadfully boring!!

I enjoyed the girls tonight. There are 5 that I like. Don't know their names sorry.

I thought they had an edge over the guys last night.

A couple good performances, but overall I don't think the last two nights were really anything special. I thought Castro was the best of the guys and Asia'h the best of the girls. I found last season to be incredibly boring, I'm hoping this one will be better.

Overall the girls were better than the boys, but they weren't fantastic. Asia'h was good and I think she'll last. I think Amy Davis will be kicked off for sure -- she's a pretty girl, but that was a boring and horrible performance. And I can't keep all the blondes straight in my head, but I remember the first blonde who was sick gave a pretty crappy performance too. I think that was Kristy Lee, the one who sold her horse to fly to Philly to audition (and I can't figure out why she didn't make a shorter trip to San Diego instead).

I hope things get a little more exciting! At least the rocker girl is interesting to watch and listen to. I can't decide if I like her, but she doesn't bore me. It was funny that Simon didn't understand the song was supposed to be like that.

I really liked the one who sang the Dusty Springfield song "You Don't have to Say you Love Me." I think her name is Ramiel? I also liked Asia and Amanda. I thought Brooke was pretty good. I wish Carly had impressed me more. I like her voice, though.
