Nothing like a beheading to start the day !

Well Angie made it out of Downieville alive but after our trip through Nevada City then the few days in Napa Valley I could just %#@@+* her!!!

However she swears the shoes will last forever and she has enough wine now to last until I run out of stocked beer.....

and that is a looooong time!!

As befits grownups in a group gathered for support, we expect the residents of South California and Old California to be civil to each other.

Even if you don't have a budget. Or do have a budget. Or two budgets.

Or a baseballl team. Or two baseball teams.

I only cried once in baseball when I was sitting in the stands and saw a grand slam.....good news except the hitter was wearing something blue....oh the pain of it ....it hurts even now.

It's not that we don't like the north down here Bill, It's just that we...ah...

well I guess it is just that we don't like 'em!

Party went well yesterday....20 friends and family kicked off the long week-end here....

step-d probably wished she was here instead of being helicoptered out of the national forest.....

She is fine now....but gave us a scare.....

Well, she was out with her Americorp firebreak team doing physical training. They wear full gear, hard hats, and carry back-packs that weigh approx. 35 pounds or more (I know because I lifted it!)...

anyway it was really hot and the trail was difficult, one she has done before, she just collapsed from heat exhaustion...

She admitted she didn't hydrate enough. One helicopter had to come and rescue crew to hike in 45 minutes, place her and one guy in the basket then fly over to another heliport where another chopper took her to the hospital.

She had 4 bags of IV goodies was evaluated and released.

She is doing fine today and enjoying the day off with her crew.
