This may seem like a lot to ask, but I'm wondering, if it weren't too much trouble, if only 5 pounds of me could ascend into heaven right now, with the rest to follow.

There's no doubt that the particular 5 pounds I have in mind are the work of the devil.

I have 5 pounds that would like to tag along.

I'll take both those 5's and 5 of my own to leave behind....

but knowing our government a policy will soon come out....

I was a little worried on Friday - no traffic, light student parking at my daughter's school although we were 5 minutes later than usual, few parents dropping off kids, later than usual and got the second closest parking spot, quiet in the building ... not sure what was going on but the thought did cross my mind that they'd miscalculated by a day! Almost time to start getting ready for another work week.

Asking for prayers for the Southwest Missouri (Joplin area) where it was just destroyed by a tornado. I live in Carthage which is only about 10 miles away and have family in Joplin. We had several sirens go off here but we are fine. Lots of coverage on the weather channel. Right now they are evacuating one of the hospitals because of a fire and possible explosion. Pretty scary. Still more systems coming through later this evening. Thanks a lot

Thanks, pretty scary. I guess Precious Moments where they make the cute little figurines, here in Carthage has damage. That is just about a mile from us. I have been able to get in touch with all my family except for one cousin and her husband who live very near to the major part of the damaged area. I keep praying and keep trying and have posted on facebook for them. Wish they would have their cell phone set for text-- right now that is about the only way to communicate. Thanks for the prayers.
