Not that we East coast folks ever wonder about California or anything, but just have to note that 'Whitey' Bulger, the most wanted violent criminal in Boston's history, has been found happily living in, . . . in . . . Santa Monica California - among the apricot trees and hibuscus blossoms.

Probably riding his bicyle in the San Francisco nude bicycle run. No wonder the FBI didn't recognize him.

Sometimes I'm very glad to live in Canada so I don't need to know this stuff.

And the reason he escaped to California was because the Boston authorities wouldn't arrest him.

This started April 12 and it's still plodding along. Yawn!

Outside at the rivers edge, laptop and wifi... had an awesome breakfast burrito and walked the entire town of Downieville.... twice....a great way to kill 15 minutes!

What are you doing in Downieville ? I didn't think you dedicated Southern Californians ever ventured to Northern California .

Post office (buy stamps), dry cleaners, library, lunch, buy fuel (he he, you didn't think I'd put "gas" on the list after lunch did you?), Sam's, ALDI, Publix, back to post office (mail letters), realized I missed one of the due books - back to library. Ran all the errands between bouts of rain. What happened to Saturday?

Your Saturday ran off with my Saturday. If they breed, we may get extra Saturdays.

Shall we try for Sunday? Sun would be nice - we've had four days of clouds and rain.

Well Bargoo I do venture up here every now and then for work and pleasure...

and just to see how the other half lives....

which leaves me to appreciate the "south" even more ;)

Step daughter and some of her firebreak team from Americorp took us on an amazing and difficult hike yesterday...awesome....

Sitting outside our room again right now, river water splashing on my legs from time to time.....

there are some nice things "up" here...

but I'd never admit it in public......;)
