Happy Easter Week!

Karen31 03-29-2010 02:19 PM

It has got to be a sure sign of Spring!!! Our Route 66 Drive-In Theater is opening this weekend!!! YAY!!!!!

zanheltangia 03-29-2010 02:52 PM

You've still got a drive-in theater!!!

Karen31 03-29-2010 03:02 PM

Love it!! And cheap for tickets....

Karen31 03-29-2010 03:04 PM

cathydoe 03-29-2010 05:17 PM

And daffodils are popping up all over here! HOOT!

zanheltangia 03-29-2010 05:28 PM

THAT IS INSANE! (The theater not the flowers, flowers are YAY!)

:D

zanheltangia 03-29-2010 05:32 PM

Are you sure that Angel pup wasn't crossed with a white rabbit, pup's hoppin' all over the place, ;)

Karen31 03-30-2010 10:36 AM

I swear the only time she is still is when she is sleeping! She runs and hops constantly. And her legs are only about 3 inches longs so she looks so funny! And Ginger being 8 years and Sissy being almost 7 years don't think that she is a bit cute!!

zanheltangia 03-30-2010 11:02 AM

:D

Well the sun is shining, and the sky is a vibrant blue...

But I cannot tell that from where I am sitting. O.o;;;

Ah well, 2 hours before I venture off into the unruly traffic and battle my way to get errands done.

:dizzy:

cathydoe 03-30-2010 11:17 AM

Something to think about:

When signing up for an exercise class John was told to wear loose fitting clothing. John said, "If I HAD any loose fitting clothing, I wouldn't have signed up in the first place!"

zanheltangia 03-30-2010 11:19 AM

 Haha! Good one, Cathy!

:D

wait, wait I thought only BILL made the rules - don't let him see that.
Where is he anyway? Wonder if he'll be wearing the orange uniform again.

bargoo 03-30-2010 08:48 PM

There Are No Rules !!!!

BillBlueEyes 03-30-2010 09:03 PM

Why, yes, yes indeed there are rules, to wit:

  2. Let us speak as if the Queen is among us. The language of ladies and gentlemen will be used at all times.
  3. There is no need to rush at the end. Having reached a count of 499, it is correct and proper to wait for a gentleman to post 500.
  4. No one, as in NO ONE, is to upset the reigning Czarina of this thread, for she knows how to use TNT and is licensed to do so.
  5. In a similar vein, do not assume that those whose names end in xxxx are not watching, for they have eyes in the back of their head and awesome powers.
  6. Gentlemen are to be shown their proper respect. This is the way it is.
  7. No rule is to interfere with rule 1.

And they deserve respect. Notice that their is no rule against mirth, so it is right and proper that Cathy inject humour into this group.

bargoo 03-30-2010 09:10 PM

When I signed up for my exercise class, they just told me to wear clothes.Period.

Karen31 03-30-2010 09:40 PM

Ginger and Sissy are doing the Happy dance tonight--- Angel went home this afternoon!! Sure is quiet around here...

cathydoe 03-30-2010 09:41 PM

Don't argue with an idiot; people watching or reading may not be able to tell the difference.

Ruthxxx 03-31-2010 06:27 AM

Hey! We're past the halfway mark.

Outta here in a bit to do my quilting class, dash home at noon, pick up the dogs and do pet therapy this afternoon.

I am stating to wonder about this retired business. The biggest drawback is not having anyone to whom I can delegate stuff. The dogs just ignore me.

zanheltangia 03-31-2010 09:27 AM

I hope that our few remaining friends give up on trying to save us.
I hope that we come up with a fail-safe plot to piss off the dumb few that forgave us.
I hope the fences we mended, fall down beneath their own weight.
And I hope that we hang on past the last exit, I hope it's already too late.

:blah:

cathydoe 03-31-2010 10:58 AM

Quilting class?! I want to go!!

Okay...so you see...I received this email with about 15 oneliners...as I have used 2 of them above...and I just HAVE to share them with someone...so I drew names out of a hat...and I drew THREADKILLERS. So you will ALL be so happy to note that for the next few posts I will be sharing them with you. Yes, lucky YOU!

This reminds me of my favorite Irish Toast

May those that love us, love us,
And those that don't love us,
May God turn their hearts,
And if he doesn't turn their hearts,
May he turn their ankles,
So we'll know them by their limping.

ButterFly49 03-31-2010 01:41 PM

Every wonder why? when we mention BILL'S name he shows up - and no other time.

Anyway, Thanks Bill I needed to be reminded of the non-rules - again!!!

Happy day everyone - it's h u m p d a y and I get to leave early to go to a Dr. appointment. Pray for me that it's nothing serious, shoulder hurts off/on. Later.

Happy Quilting class Ruthxxx!!! Glad you're back in the swing of things. If I had my way - I'd be retired by now. I'm trying to follow God's will for me and not mine - again.

Happy Day All.

zanheltangia 03-31-2010 02:46 PM

My fingers are itchin' for some stitchin'... but alas, I've no project to compel me to do so. Which is a rather good thing for my wallet.

Are you kidding ? Bill is the one who insist we have rules and they must be followed. I am just as insistant that there are no rules to be followed.

Ruthxxx 04-01-2010 06:47 AM

Happy Loof Lirpa!

zanheltangia 04-01-2010 10:07 AM

Loof Lirpa....

I see what you did there,

cathydoe 04-01-2010 10:51 AM

:joker: I called work today and said that a realtor was coming by to check the place out. And the reply was: "OH NO YOU AREN'T SELLING ON US ARE YOU" and then a little "Oh, April Fools to you too!" They know me too well!!

For 3FC I thought about changing my ticker and starting a thread BUT there would be some old fuddy duddy that would frown! So I sit with the idea and smile!

cathydoe 04-01-2010 10:55 AM

Association for the Prevention of April Fool Jokes (1940)
Fred Orsinger, chairman of the Association for the Prevention of April Fool Jokes (A.F.P.O.A.F.J.), issued some guidelines to help people avoid becoming the victims of April Fool jokes. "There's no fool like an April fool. Beware," he said. "The telephone joker is the most common. I figure out he'll consume more than 8,000,000 man hours of work throughout the Nation today. There is one standard gag, though, that the association believes in looking into—the pocket book lying on the sidewalk. It's worth the look, and even if there is no money inside, you may get a good pocket book." Orsinger's regular job was Director of the National Aquarium in Washington DC. [Oakland Tribune, Apr 1, 1940.]

ButterFly49 04-01-2010 12:54 PM

Happy Day - for all those who wanted to pull an April Fool's joke on someone and succeeded - So far I've ducked the bullet.

zanheltangia 04-02-2010 08:27 AM

April Fools was sooooo yesterday, ;)

cathydoe 04-02-2010 08:42 AM

Muahhaha! Let the games begin! It is JOKE time!

Wouldn't you know it...brain cells come and brain cells go, but FAT cells live FOREVER!
