I am on day 2 of power 90. Did "Sweat" and "Abs" today and I feel very sore but in a good way! I'm enjoying it so far and I plan on sticking to it!

Default P90 restart

How's everyone doing in their respective P90 or P90X programs??

I bought P90 back in Decmeber and consistently go back to it, I just haven't gotten past 3 weeks straight of doing it I just did it again today for the first time in about 5 weeks. Makes me angry to think about where I would have been if I would have just stayed with it! argh! Hopefully this annoyance will keep me on track this time!!

I really struggle with the Power Yoga, after 2 weeks of it in December my wrist really hurt badly - that's what made me stop the first go round. The other times I'd try it, but couldn't even figure out how to modify it and then get frustrated by it. So this time, I'm skipping the power yoga on the "Sweat" program all together. Maybe once I've lost some weight it won't be so bad on my wrists and I'll be able to stick it out

Good luck ladies -- remember, just press play!

Kudos to anyone who can stick with P90x! I tried it for about a week and just couldn't keep up. They aren't kidding... it is really really hard to do.

Most of the time I found myself out of breath & fast forwarding to the end (and this was before I gained the weight!)

I'm going to make it a personal goal to get in to good enough shape by doing other exercise to complete an actual 90 days of it. It seems like a really good way to trim off those last few pounds while increasing your athletic ability tenfold.

Thumbs up keep pushing play

I agree with m3k. I don't know if anyone is doing P90 or P90x right now. I am starting a running routine and hope to clip on power 90 (the original) and/or do a modified version (depending on time...I find I must remain realistic to do what I plan) where I do running as the cardio and P90 the other 3 days. I would love to do P90x because it seems fun (and HARD)...but am sticking to something lighter just for now.

Hi Ladies,
My first post here. I'm almost half way through P90X and I still can't do an official push up...But I do them on my knees and now I at least try most of the exercises. It's taken 6 weeks to even get to that point. (Not the Drea roll tho!)
I'm doing low carb and frustrated that I haven't lost more wt. Only 6 lbs so far. Trying to stay motivated though.

Looks like this thread is pretty dead, but I'll chime in to say I'm doing P90 too. I'm about a week and a half in, and I'm already feeling tighter. I've lost an inch off my belly and half an inch off of each thigh, so I'm quite pleased. I find the level pretty good - I can do most exercises as-shown and adjust the rest so that I'm not having any 'sitting out' time. My husband (who is in MUCH better shape than me) can still get a decent workout out of them by upping the weights and intensity, so I should be able to use these tapes for quite a while, I think. I'm thinking about trying P90X after this round of P90, but I'm not sure if I'll be strong enough - might do another round of this (although doing the same two tapes for ninety days is going to get REALLY boring, I think...).

Oh, and I too find the power yoga bit to be by far the hardest part of the whole thing. Especially when he's like "Now just swing your leg through..." Dude, my leg does not swing. At all. So I fumble through it as best I can and am incredibly relieved when it's time for the comparatively easy knee-ups.

Bigchiefhoho, Lol, you crack me up about the yoga! One thing I have learned is that I pretty much hate yoga....but I do feel much more flexible afterward. I got a tip from a friend that is on her 3rd round (she looks great by the way and is my inspiration for starting) to order Tony Horton Fountain of Youth "One on one yoga". It is only 45 minutes instead of 90, so I use that on yoga days.

There are several routines included in the p90x program. And it rotates through them. You never do two of the same routine in any week (except maybe a recovery week once a month) I'm doing the p90x "Lean" version first. Look it up on the internet and you will get a good idea of how the routine varies.

I'm glad to see there are some people doing P90X or P90 on here! I just finished my first day of the P90X Lean version. I am also keeping a personal blog about my experience with it that I might post a link to if I actually keep to this more than just a few days...

Lets keep this thread alive girls

Hang tough through the first week, Jessica! You will be sore, but that gets better after a while.
I'm starting week 8 today. It is supposed to be a recovery week and it starts with yoga (which I do sometimes, but don't really care for) so I am going to substitute super callanetics today. Last time I did it my back and knee bothered me some...that never happened with p90x.

Today is my day 3 and my but muscles are soar.. but its like a good soar... like muscles are working that I didn't know even existed... Ab Ripper X really kicked my but.. I could only do about half of it and even some of the moves I could only do about 3 reps or not even at all... but I tried and I did what I could so thats all that counts really...

Congrats on week 8!! You're half way through!

In the wonderful words of Tony "Do your best and forget the rest"! I don't know if I'll ever be able to do push-ups that are not on my knees. Or pull-ups for that matter...but, it makes me feel like I have accomplished something when I finish another day.... I've made this commitment to myself to do it for 90 days and I do feel obligated to finish.
Hang tough, you can do it!
