See you later 140's!

Who's ready to kiss the 140's goodbye?

I have been struggling. I bounced from 135 to way over 150 pounds, and now working to get that weight off...

149.2 this morning.

You are not alone! I was down to ~135 pounds a few months ago then binge-ate my way up to over 153 pounds, which of course stuck to my body like glue :(

I think I finally have things under control but man, it was hard.

Haven't weighed in a while but today was 147.4. Glad to be kissing the 140s goodbye.... AGAIN ... it is one long-a$$ kiss that is for sure :p

Fluffypuppy 01-27-2015 02:59 PM

Binged yesterday, up 1.8 to 148. I can't wait to see 144, my 2014 and five year low.

Sum38 01-27-2015 03:53 PM

We can do this ladies!! I am hoping this decade will fly by!

I hope so! It has been crawling and bouncing up and down for me.

kisskiss 01-27-2015 11:20 PM

include me on the list! I got down to 135, gained up to 149 this past christmas break, and now am at about 141-143. I'm in. Wanna be back in the 30s :(

Fluffypuppy 01-27-2015 11:24 PM

Kiss kiss-- wow! You have come so far! Amazing!

Sum38 01-28-2015 03:03 AM

Good Morning Ladies! :sunny:

I am up at 3 am, done sleeping. My sleep has not been that great in days, just a few hours per night. I have not napped either. Wonder what is going on...:tired:

Scale was being kind to me, even at this early hour. 147.6 :goodscale

My first mini goal is 145; at first I wanted to reach it for Valentine's Day, but I think I can get there by the 6th of Feb, the latest.

Crimzon 01-28-2015 01:17 PM

Hey folks!

I can relate Sum 38 - my sleep habits are dreadful. I was up at about 3:00 and then made the mistake of trying to catch a few zzz's at 5:30 and had nightmares. I think it's just better to stay awake. Sometimes I use time release melatonin but it doesn't always work. I use a low dose. I heard we shouldn't take a lot.

Well my scale has been all over the place - down, up, down, up. So disappointing. I haven't even weighed in a while. My last post I was down to 142 then I ballooned back up to 151. I've been ill and taking a lot of cough medicine which is all sugar and lots of cough drops which is basically candy. I don't usually eat sugar and I don't take stuff with fake sugars. I'll hit the scale tomorrow to see where I am. Hopefully I'll be back in the 140s. I'll change my stats then.

Fluffypuppy 01-28-2015 01:26 PM

Feel better, Lizzie.

Sorry about the sleep, Sum. That is rotten. At least the scale gave you good news.

Good news here too. 146.4 my Feb 1 goal was 144, my 2014 low, but i may not make that. It won't be too far away though.

kisskiss 01-28-2015 07:42 PM

Fluffypuppy:
Thank you fluffypuppy! I have a few more pounds to go to get back to goal, but I know I can do this.
Nice job on weighing in at 146! February 1st is still a few days away, you might get closer to your month's goal this week :D

Sum38:
3am is sooooo early! I sometimes am still awake at that hour! Hope you are able to go back to regular sleep hours soon. Are you going to sleep earlier?

Crimzon:
Same thing used to happen to me in college. If I had interrupted sleep (ie waking up in middle of night to finish homework and then going back to sleep), I'd get nightmares that were almost night terrors. Not fun. Good look on your weigh in tomorrow!

Fluffypuppy 01-28-2015 11:58 PM

Kisskiss--thanks! I know you can do it too. How long have you been working at this?

Sum38 01-29-2015 09:25 AM

I met a friend for dinner and ate a lot... 149.4 this am. Atleast it is below 150!!

Fluffypuppy 01-29-2015 11:18 AM

Sum--that kind of weight will go down fast.

145.4 this morning! Woohoo! Down another pound.

Crimzon 01-29-2015 12:34 PM

I reluctantly got on the scale and I'm at 150 :( I'm not going to let it get me down today - just take a look at what I'm eating and logging it. May do Atkins Induction or Westman or something. Started this morning.

Thanks Fluffy - Today I feel a little better. Sure is hanging on. That great your near goal.

KissKiss - thanks. Glad I'm not the only one. You've come a long way on your journey and are doing great!!

See you guys later...

Fluffypuppy 01-29-2015 05:03 PM

Crimzon--good that you're not letting it get you down. That is hard to do! At least for me.

mandykent111 01-29-2015 08:31 PM

ohhhh this is my group!! I have been stuck at 149 forever and got down to 144 at one point and I just can't seem to get under 140 or right now anywhere near it.

Sum38 01-30-2015 04:32 AM

Crimzon No giving up, as you said!! Seeing that 15 number always gets me motivated.

149 for me, I kinda did not get OP yesterday.

Crimzon 01-30-2015 11:36 AM

Thanks for your encouragement!!

:welcome2: Mandy

tonimaroni2 01-30-2015 11:47 AM

I think I'm now safely back into the 140's. Been really struggling, very quickly went from the 130's to the 150's. However, I'm back into my intermittent fasting and feeling in control again.

kisskiss 01-30-2015 04:59 PM

Fluffy puppy: it took me about 2 years and a half to get down from 299 to 135 in Dec 2013. I had some thyroid issues last summer (and a beautiful 2 month vacation in Costa Rica with too much yummy food as well) that I believe contributed to me gaining about 10 pounds back. I weighed in at 140 this morning though, so maybe I'll be in the 30s sooner than I think :)

Fluffypuppy 01-31-2015 12:37 AM

Kiss kiss-- you are gonna be back in the 130's before you know it. Amazing work. How is your thyroid issue now?

Tonimaroni--way to get back on the bus! You got this!

Mandy--welcome!

920 cals yesterday.
145.6 this morning up 0.2
665 cals so far today. Don't feel much like eating cuz I am really stressed. My aunt died, my dad is in the hospital and my dogs ate something they shouldn't have.

Sum38 01-31-2015 06:26 AM

Ovulation time, stuck at 149.

I snacked a bit too much last night, and I have not been able to walk in a few days; I have been stuck indoors at my volunteer post. I am a membership Chair for a local Finnish Center, and we have most of our members renewing their memberships right now, plus election plus I am getting a directory done. I spent at the center for 4 days this week and they were long days. Sitting does not help either.

Looking forward to this weekend when I can actually take a few walks and breathe some fresh air.

ShanIAm 01-31-2015 10:00 AM

Fluffypuppy - we have practically the same exact stats! I'm going to have you follow you around on this board now. :) I'm very sorry that you have so much going on that is causing stress. I am sorry for the loss of your aunt, your dad's illness and the puppies. Yeah, you definitely have a lot going on!

I used to be a very active member of this site a few years ago and when I reached my goal weight, I don't know what the heck happened!?! I just got too cocky I guess and next thing I knew, I gained almost all my weight back.

Got back on the wagon in May 2014 a little bit but really started dedicating myself in September.

Came in at 147.8 this morning. My progress is slow so this thread will be my home for a little while. But I'm ok with that. :)

Good luck everyone and have a healthy weekend!

Sum38 02-01-2015 07:18 AM

149, still.

kisskiss 02-02-2015 01:23 PM

Fluffypuppy:
Thank you :D . To be honest, I have no idea how my thyroid is doing :( I have a thryoid nodule in my throat that's bigger than normal, but my doctor told me I have no symptoms of hypo or hyper (ie too hot, too cold, extreme weight loss/gain in a short period of time, etc). He says it should be nothing to worry about for now, and to have it rechecked in a few months. I don't know, it seems like I'm just waiting for the nodule to get bigger before they do something about it :(

So sorry that you have had some family issues! Is your dad doing better? You have a lot going on, make sure you're getting rest!

Sum38:
Sorry that you're still stuck at 149 :/ . Maybe once the work load slows down a little you'll feel a little better, and you'll drop those pounds. Sitting all day has to be tough and stressful, so it's no wonder you snacked. How did you weekend go?

ShanIAm:
Slow progress is still Progress :D
I initially lost 30 pounds and regained 50 before losing the 160. It happens. Heck, right now I'm still 5 pounds above my original goal. Maintaining weight can be just as hard (if not harder) as losing weight. You'll get there again!

in good news, I weighed in at 140 AGAIN. I am sooooo excited to may be, possibly see 139 soon! How was everyone's weekend? I went to a superbowl party and was able to actually stay within my calorie limit AND i put in an awesome workout at the gym. I'm so motivated to see the 30s right now that I don't wanna mess up :o

Thank you, Kiss Kiss! And you are right, slow progress is still progress. I have to keep repeating that and adopt it as my new mantra. And yes, maintaining was so much harder than I ever, ever imagined. I hope that I learned from my past mistakes so when I do get to maintenance, I'll recognize the warning signs of regaining much quicker! Thanks for the encouragement! :D

Crimzon 02-03-2015 11:26 AM

KissKiss - I have thyroid issues as well.

Down to 147 this morning!

tonimaroni2 02-03-2015 01:39 PM

ShanIAm - the same thing happened to me. I got to a point where I felt great about myself and then let it all go! Here's to lessons learned!

The good news is I'm down to 147.9 this morning. The bad news is its because I barely ate anything yesterday. :( Hubs and I had a huge fight and I just can't eat when I feel like laying in bed and crying.

I also quit taking my medication because I felt like it wasn't doing a single thing for me, and my appetite is now non-existent. BONUS.

tonimaroni2 02-05-2015 10:25 AM

Happy Chinese New Year! You guys are pretty quiet! Hope that means you're doing well.

I've been doing great, completely in control for the first time in a very long time. Not losing a lot of weight, but my body fat % is coming down and I'm feeling much more comfortable in my clothes. If you guys don't have a Fitbit and Aria scale, I HIGHLY recommend them!

nice on 147 :D Sorry to hear that--do you feel like your thyroid is effecting anything (weight wise)?

Also--I was 139 this morning!!! Woot woot!! Going to give it a couple days and see if it holds, but I'll probably be heading to the 130s thread :D
You sound so peppy, I love it! Happy Chinese New year!Do you find the aria scale accurate? I've heard back and forth with reviews. I have a body fat caliper and that's the only way i estimate where I am at right now. I would love to own a aria or withings--even if it was inaccurate, I'd want it to be consistently inaccurate, if that makes sense.

DLS1 02-06-2015 07:48 AM

Wow, a lot of new names since my last visit here. Hello to all. I'm sure I'll get to know all of you soon and hope all is well with everyone. It's a very happy day for me today. I've lost ALL my Xmas weight gain and another lb. besides, YAY me. :)

Crimzon 02-06-2015 02:56 PM

KissKiss - Congratulations - we'll miss ya but that's great you can head to the 130s. Yeah, I think thyroid and menopause put the weight on. My metabolism crashed and everything shifted too - to that classic spot.

Glad you're back DLS1.

I'll have to check out the Aria Scale Tonimoroni.

See you guys later!

tonimaroni2 02-08-2015 11:20 PM

Im not sure exactly how accurate the Aria is, but I'm very happy with its consistency. I noticed that my body fat percentage was nearly exactly the same every day for several weeks until I got back into intermittent fasting and its slowly going down now so I'm thinking its pretty accurate.

143.8 this morning. I haven't been below 144 in five years! I have a bit of a mental and physical block about 144 and have gotten stuck here before.

Way to go! It's inspiring to pass those difficult milestones. :) Do you mind if I ask what helped you the most?

Crimzon 02-11-2015 10:39 PM

Yes, do tell Fluffy?!

Crimzon 02-12-2015 11:57 AM

Scale was kind this morning - 145 - hope it sticks.

How's is everyone doing?

Marniadec 02-13-2015 09:30 PM

Hi guys, it's the fist time I'm coming to this forum. I'm officially in the 140's again! I'm hoping I won't stay here long, as I'm really looking forward to the 130's. I haven't seen those since elementary school!
