I know we have a few other short term goal challenges running right now, but i wanted to start a longer term challenge. My goal is to meet my final goal by July 4th this year. I have been toying a bit with my goal and i think 112 will do. To meet this goal i need to lose 10 pounds in about 4 months. that's about 2.5 pounds a month. DOABLE!
Personal goals:
work out 4-5x a week
between 1100-1500 calories a day
keep up the very low alcohol intake
Hey! I have my shorter term goal to try and get to 115 lbs by the 4th of April but I'd like to join this long term one as well so that I keep motivated even when it's over. My goal is to maintain 115 lbs and maybe lose a couple more by the 4th July! This is because once I reach my goal I tend to lose sight of what I've done and go back to my old bad habits.
Personal goals:
Exercise 5 times a week
Keep intake around 1200 calories until I reach my goal
Increase my calories to 1800 when maintaining
Try and drink a lot more water and a lot less diet pop!
xgemziex- Diet soda is a very hard habit to break! good luck! stella1609- any and all weights are welcome! It sure sounds like you have good goal- 1 lbs a week would be perfect. Unfortunately it comes off a lot slower for me! diornotwar- We CAN do this!!! I'm with you on the alcohol, it is hard to quit completely!
So I already have a update!!!! Yesterday i weighed in at 122 after a little over a week at 121.5. I was a little bummed, but whats half a pound when you know you did nothing wrong? I thought it was just water weight. Well, this morning i weighed in at 121 even! WOOT WOOT!!!! I have been in a great mood all day despite the awful weather and my least favorite class this morning!
So on Wednesday i guess i drank a bit too much. I had the hang over from **** all day yesterday. I was literally throwing up until midnight last night. I was never able to keep anything down yesterday. I woke up feeling weak, but better. I got the stupid idea to weigh myself...118 pounds. I know i will be back to 121 by the end of they day once i am properly hydrated, but it was sort of fun seeing those low numbers!
While laying in bed all day yesterday i had a bit of a chat with myself about drinking. I think i am going to cut out alcohol 100%.
Haha Maenad, just as long as you don't make a habit of losing weight that way Doesn't sound like it's worth it!
Good luck on cutting back on drinking--it's definitely a healthy decision long-term. Even if you don't quit completely, just limiting how many drinks you have, or how many nights you drink would be good!
The worst thing about drinking while dieting, for me, is that one glass of wine and my food inhibitions are GONE! It's hard enough to maintain self-control while sober.
What I do is, I try to eat as quickly as possible. Once I'm full, I have no desire to drink on top of that. Problem solved.
I am maintaining 121 pretty well. I hurt my back (after the worst hang over ever) and haven't been able to work out as hard as i was before. Other than that I am taking a holiday this coming week. I am off to Europe for a week of fun. not going to worry too much about food, just going to try to enjoy myself! I am hoping to hit 120 before i leave, but we'll see!
I'm doing great! VERY close to hitting 169--might happen with my weigh-in tomorrow unless TOM screws it up (usually doesn't affect my weigh-ins, but you never know).
I bought real running shoes today! Had a fabulous (well, for me, hehe) run yesterday and I can't wait to try the new shoes tomorrow.
