Good luck cmichele! It's a very do-able diet, so even though you're going out of town, you could possibly find things while you are gone that are on the program.

That's awesome Matilda that you are continuing to lose weight!!! That's definitely motivation for the rest of us!

Hi Mumma! I have finished Phase 1 and I lost 11 lbs. I think it depends on your body and how much weight you have to lose, though. I know how hard it is in the beginning, but you'll start to get used to it, I hope. This is a great place to get support, though-you've come to the right place!

Thanks, Kara. I am finishing up a round Phase 1 of SBD. I'm really wanting to give up red meat, wine, and my life long love affair with potatoes. SBD has helped tremendously with the wine and even the red meat. I figured the detox phase of FS would help even more. I do have a strong will and a ton of motivation so I know I can at least do the detox phase without many complaints.

I'll check in after my detox.

Does anyone have intense pms with this diet. I'm on day three and it's that time of the month today, and I'm in some pain. I'm drinking tons and tons of water. Lots of fruit. The cramps are unlike anything I've ever had before. Any suggestions. I don't want anything to stop me from making this work. So Not going to quit.

I know what you mean about your love affairs, Cmichele. I also LOVE wine, and basically all carbohydrates, which is why I couldn't do this without the allowance of them (brown rice, oatmeal, etc.) They make it bearable.

Good luck with your reunion weight loss Matilda! I know you can do it!!

Momma, I had not had that until last night, which lucky me, was the night before my weigh in. I had intense pain, but I took 2 Advil and it went away in about an hour.

I weighed in this morning and lost 9.6 lbs. in the first 9 days of Phase 2!!! Woohoo!!

Have a good day, ladies!

Congrats on your awesome weight loss!! I think I said that on another post, but it's worth saying again I know what you mean about this time being different-I have had more willpower this time than with anything else I've ever tried. Let's just hope I can keep that going as long as I need to to lose the weight.

Good luck everybody!!

I am really excited to see the weight coming off...I cant really tell yet..but I can a little bit in my face. It comes off my face first for some reason. My goal is 199 bc I dont want to be super thin and I like a little meat on my bones...the closest I have come to being in the 100's is when i weighed 208..so i will have to do something big for myself when I hit 199! Like go away for a weekend to the spa or something!?

Whoopdedoo: Congrats on the wt loss The spa sounds like a great idea

Mummabear: I'm sorry I can't help with the pms stuff (One advantage of getting old and having gone thru menopause - I think)

CMichele: Good luck and congrats on starting phase I. I lost 6lbs with 1 cheat while others lost 9 to 11lbs. I also only exercised a couple of times while others did a lot more so my advice would be to stick to it faithfully and exercise before you travel for the 4th that way you have a really good jump on the weight loss. But remember you can always get right back on track when you return
