Thanks to Jill's advice, I have decided to try Fat Smash... I am currently waiting for the library to get the book in (apparently it is so popular that no local library has it in). Everyone seems to be doing real well on it. So reading about what everyone is eating and doing through Fat Smash, is giving me an idea of what I am getting myself into.... so far sounds great!

2beautiful2Bfat 03-27-2008 08:09 AM

Welcoem ashis!
I love fat smash!! I too was converted by Jill! Dr. Smith shoudl pay her a commission!! ;)

Anyways I finally saw the sale move and I am down 2!!

jillnicole03 03-27-2008 02:03 PM

Hi girls!! So I've been MIA the last couple days lol.. went to my moms and she has no i-net. Anyways I havn't been completley sticking to F.S., it's so hard when you're not at home, but I have been eating healthy, trying to stick to the best choices and exercising. I also just added arm weights to my exercise routine. I have 10lb weights and so far I'm doing 100 every other day, and abs on the opposite days.
So I think the only 'non healthy' thing I had was a packet of 4 oreo cookies lol but I was craving chocolate (TOM) anyways I didn't binge after or anything so I wasn't upset with the cookies, and now even though we have a bunch more packets staring at me in the kitchen, I don't even want any.
I'm going to Sacramento this weekend for a girls weekend, last time I went I had a binge, so hopefully I can control myself. Friday night I'm going out but Saturday I have a day planned with my friend an we're going to walk, we use to walk for ours just giggling and having 'girl talk'. ( I miss that)

ASH :welcome: I'm so glad you came :)

BEAUTIFUL :) Yeah I'm always trying to recruite people for our team lol

Well ladies I read through all of your posts and some are doing awesome, also we have a couple slip ups... I'm just so glad for the slips that we are writing about them! It is so hard to get on here after a bad day sometimes, because you're thinking what the heck am I going to write about? lol

:dust: WE CAN DO IT!

chubbywifeyIN 03-27-2008 05:27 PM

Hello ladies! How are you curbing your binges? I haven't had any which is amazing, let me tell you! I found I really don't crave things, besides starbucks now and then and i get non-fat and use it as a treat.

today: salad (mmmmmmmmmm there is this awesome place on campus) and a 2 gram of fat little chocolate lowfat milk, and of course water
dinner tonight, i think veggie lasanga, but i have not decided.

right now, until my teeth are back and i can eat my veggies, etc i am just watching what i eat. most things have to be mushy to not hurt my teeth. i am still going to the gym (did 2.4 miles in 30 minutes today, i was taking it easy a bit, i just feel ick with my mouth throbbing). i have been living off of ibuprofen, i swear, haha.
things are getting crazy. i have 4 classes after this semester till i graduate with my masters. one being an internship this summer, which will be crazy busy for me. i really want to be down around 150 by late august. which will be feasible only if i can get back to smashing soon!!! :(

anyways, keep it up. i so love our group. :)

good luck to all!

Newbie with a couple questions

Hi everyone, new here. I have spent some time reading a lot of the blogs on the Fat Smashing and I am convinced that this is definately something that I would like to do.

I have gained some much needed motivation after reading some of the supportive blogs that you guys post with each other.

I have about 75 lbs to loose with, 3 years later :), still having my "baby weight" to take off and the Fat Smashing sounds like a great, healthy way of eating to get my butt in gear.

A couple questions, just getting started are:

What does a typical day (as far as diet and exercise) look like and consist of during Phase 1 just to get an idea of what to prepare for.

And also I created a "diet ticker" to keep track of my weight loss, does anyone know where I go to download that onto my profile on this website?

Good luck to everyone....take care.

2beautiful2Bfat 03-28-2008 05:02 AM

Hi everyone
I managed to get back on track and am down another 2 lbs. I have sort of been doing phase 1 this week but I had heese and chicken so I guess more phase 2 without the carbs!

Anyways now I am going fully into phase 2 and we'll see how that goes.

:welcome: mandy! For me a typical P1 day was
B: fruit smoothie
S: fruit or yogurt
L: sweet potato fries or grilled veggies
S: oatmeal cookies or brown rice krispie treat
D: veggie burger or nuggets and slad or steamed veggies.

Hope that helps

Also in the evenings I woudl have a snack sometimes usually soy milk flavored.

jillnicole03 03-28-2008 01:40 PM

:welcome2: MANDYGIRL....... For your weight ticker you go up to 'Edit Signature', which is under 'QUick Links' :)

WIFEY... I want to be 140 by late August so we have similar goals :) You're doing awesome! :)

2BEAUTIFUL.... Another 2lbs!! You go girl :cheer2: you're doing wonderful.

Well ladies good luck to everyone this weekend, hopefully even when we are not fully on our FS diet, we are still not binging :) No binges for me this week. :dust:

I'm about to get ready for my 3 hour drive back to my hometown. I hate being in the car for a long time, bored..driving by all he fast food. Yucko. Anyways I have faith I can be a good girl this weekend. :)

mandygirl 03-28-2008 10:55 PM

Thanks ladies, I appreciate your help. I joined the online "Celebrity Fit Club", for 1 month at a time, to be able to print off the Fat Smash diets and exercise plans, just seemed more convenient then getting the book at the store and I am anxious to start tomorrow I will check in as I progress.

Hope everyone has a good weekend and thanks again for such a supportive group!

less of lisa 03-28-2008 11:00 PM

hey girls!
happy weekend
i've done so so this week. i went to a concert wed night and drank and drank. funny i was down a lb this morning. i didn't eat dinner last night and only ate oatmeal and yogurt for dinner on wed so i'm sure the lb will find it's way back but i hope not. i'm contemplating doing WW with a fat smash base. So trying to not eat bad carbs and sugar but if i do it has to fit within my range of points. I just keep thinking i should be losing faster and i know it's because i overeat. Like my salads could feed all the easter bunnies in the united states, not just the one that comes around my town. then i feel like i have to have a supplement to the salad and so i eat even more. anyone else feel like that?
how is everyone doing?

b: yogurt, banana, oatmeal
l: salad (it was actually small but bad stuff on it, feta cheese, mozz cheese, almonds, egg, gonzo beans, no salad dressing), progresso black bean soup, apple
s: yogurt
d: big salad (gonzo beans, tuna salad (mayo and dill relish - which has no sugar), tomatoes, feta cheese, dressing), brocolli, diet dr pepper

annierew 03-29-2008 12:09 PM

Hello, Ladies! So, I've been away for a bit...but I wasn't avoiding you all. ;)

I haven't had a good week and have no one to blame but myself. It was a complete lack of planning and will power. I work in the events industry and had a few industry events this week, too. Unfortunately, some of the best restaurants in town were serving food, so I couldn't turn it down. It was from the four and five star restaurants in town, which is hard to get reservations, let alone pay for them! And this was FREE! I also had a cheese steak this week, which I don't normally eat that much, but I was downtown (Philly girl!), and it just smelled so good. And the thing is, I don't regret it for a second. I'm planning on going back to P1 this week, which was always the plan, so I'm just going to regroup and get back on the wagon.

I have found from this past year that when I forbid anything from myself, that's when I normally end up binging, but if I let myself cave in a little bit to my cravings, I'll pretty much stay on track.

Good luck this week, ladies! I know we can all do it! Woo Hoo!!! :cb:

hotmama1983 03-31-2008 11:20 AM

Its been awhile....

Hey guys! Sorry its been like 80 million years since I've been on here. I have completely lost track of where I was at, but I figured out I am on like day 6 of Phase III. I still stick close to Phase I and II though. My weight doesn't seem to be going anywhere, but I have been excercising everyday for the past 4 days so I feel good about that! I've been getting on the treadmill and also watching "The Beyonce Experience" and dancing along with that! lol! I love her and she's hot so its definently something to look forward to when I do lose the weight! lol! I hope all of you are doing well! I'm trying not to get frustrated if I don't see the scale move any though. I'm kind of scared of it now so I don't even know how much I weigh. My weakness for Chipotle kicked in and I convinced myself that the salad was ok (which would have been minus the white rice and cheese) but oh my goodness those 2 things are the best part! I even fell for those chips which I had no idea that there are like 400 calories in them!! GEEZ!!! So, I'm done with being bad! =)

jillnicole03 03-31-2008 07:49 PM

Cute new picture HOTMAMA :)

MarcyD 03-31-2008 11:46 PM

Hi Ladies -

Just joining your great group. I started Phase One one week ago today. I'm down 5.5 pounds. I CANNOT wait to eat some meat on Wednesday.

I started FS after watching Celebrity Fit Club. If those people were losing 6-8pounds the first week, I thought that would be a great jump start to losing weight. I got the book at the library, got a girlfriend to join me for support and then found this great forum.

I'm glad to find so many other people in the same boat - willing to talk about challenges and success.

Let's all have a THINNER summer! ;)

chubbywifeyIN 04-01-2008 12:53 AM

everyone is changing their pictures and getting so cute! i love it!

jill - we do have similar goals, but you are closer. :)

AMEN to the thinner summer. Goodbye thunderthighs, lol.

:) having a rough week and it's only monday. not weight wise, but family wise and school wise. ugh. anyways... really don't have anything to say except i need a cute new pic like jill and momma.

let's make this week rock! i am still dieting but can't get back to smashing quite yet. thank god its april only 17 more days till my i can eat raw veggies again!!! :)

<3 to you all!!!

ashisback 04-01-2008 02:29 AM

Alright, well, tomorrow is Day 1 of Fat Smash for sure! My aunt was in town this weekend, she came down to stay at our house the day I was supposed to start day 1. I told her what I was doing and she said you better wait until tuesday... I'm making home cooked meals. So instead of setting myself up for failure I just decided to start tomorrow! I'm excited to see what it will do for me. Right now I am anticipating going to the dentist tomorrow, I'm so nervous!!!!! Ugh, I can't wait to get it over with! So tomorrow I will right down what I ate, and keep a daily log in this forum of the progress! I think the hardest part will be not weighing myself for 9 days, I'm addicted to the scale! Well, hopefully it will do me some good =) Night everybody!

2beautiful2Bfat 04-01-2008 05:34 AM

Hi everyone sorry I haven't posted in awhile. things have been so hectic at home!! We just took in a 6 month old baby!! I am going a bit nuts to say the least!!

anyways I don't even knwo what phase I am in!! Probably still 2 but I lost track!! Either way I was down 3 last week and am down another 2 already this week! I have already made my April 19th goal!!

hotmama1983 04-01-2008 07:30 AM

Aww! Thanks! =) =)

ashisback 04-02-2008 12:40 AM

Today : Day 1

Today was Day 1 on Fat Smash...
Meal 1 - 4 egg whites
Meal 2 - Boca Burger
Snack - 6 oz. fat free yogurt
Meal 3- Boca Burger ( I love those things... 100% Vegie)
Exercise - The Mall....need I say more =)

Not too bad for the first day, ready for Day 2!

Oh yeah and my weigh-in was 178.7 lbs..... it is going to be hard to stay off the scale till after the Detox phase.... but I'll do it, one day at a time!

hotmama1983 04-02-2008 11:15 AM

Back to where I was after the first week! =)

Hey guys! I got on the scale yesterday and I lost the weight I had gained back during the week where I got lazy and didn't excercise! I also stopped eating bananas since they have like 110 calories and yogurt and tried to focus more on my caloric intake! I'm still pretty much sticking to Phase 1. I've been working out the past 5 days and I know that helped too. I hope to be in the 160's in a week or so! Wish me luck!

jillnicole03 04-02-2008 02:09 PM

MANDYGIRL... How are you liking CFC online? I love watching that show =)

LISA... your salads sound delicious :) :woohoo:

ANNIE... :dust: We can do it!

HOTMAMA... I know what you mean.. sometimes when Im watching beautiful fit women on tv it pumps me up, like that's what I want and I can do it! Too bad they dont have those shows onmore often ;) Beyonce is so gorgeous but still has curves, I like that! Good job on your weight loss!! :cheer2:

MARCYD... :welcome2: Glad to have you!

CHUBBY... That must be hard with no veggies. And even though our weight is a little different we are all in this together! ;) :grouphug:

ASHISBACK... Your first day sounds great :yay: Do you eat the boca alone though? Because that's not very much food. I love grilling some red onions with Pam cooking spray and putting them on top of my boca with a lil barbecue sauce.. really yummy. :)

2BEAUTIFUL... Glad to see you back :) We understand it's hard to get on everyday sometimes :P So did you adopt the baby or will you just have her/him for a lil while? Well no mattr what, good for you! That's a lot to take on. BTW your weight loss is going GREAT!! :bravo: And the marshmallow walden farms stuff is yucko... some of their sauces taste okay when you did your finger in but not when you actually dip in food, plus they have a really gross after taste. Big waste of my money! For sure! :)

And everyone else keep up the good work :dust: fat smashing or whatever type of healthy eating you are trying :)

I've done okay since I got back from my mini vacation for the weekend. No overeating. I havn't been full blown fat smash since though, and I decided I'm going to just do healthy eating for the next week or 2. :carrot: I weighed this morning and I was 163.5 not the 160 I was hoping for but still great since I have not been 100% great with my eating, I'm glad I keep trying hard though. Ok ladies I miss you all & love reading your comments :)

MarcyD 04-02-2008 02:51 PM

Hi Ladies -

Today is my first day on Phase II. I was so grateful to be able to eat a piece of baked chicken - YUMMY. It was a great lunch with some fruit. My weigh in today shows I've lost 6 pounds during Phase I. I am very happy with that.

I am a Jazzerciser, so went to eat after class with my instructor. We have both been Weight Watchers, but I get so tired of that. Plus there are all kinds of ways to eat within your point range, without choosing really healthy foods.

I was so happy to find this forum, especially the recipes. Too bad I didn't find those at first. I tried the sweet potatoe fries yesterday - they were wonderful! I bought another sweet potato. I can see those fries sitting on my Thanksgiving dinner table!!

My biggest challenge is the next 12 days. I am going to two conferences out of town. Between conferences I am visiting a family member who may or may not eat healthy food. I doubt I will stay perfect on Phase 2, as so much is out of my control. But if I just keep out of the sweets and chips, etc - and eat as healthy as I can - I will be happy.

Jill - thanks for the welcome.

Hotmama - I am near the sports complexes, what part of KC are you in?

Everybody have a great day!

less of lisa 04-02-2008 07:59 PM

hey everybody!
my weigh in was monday and i was down 1.4! now i've managed to gain that back since then but i'm moving my scale b/c i weigh in on mondays not on wednesdays!

love the posts and the new pics of people.

jill - you are so good at addressing everyone individually. i read them and then would get everybody all messed up so maybe i'll just respond and peeps will know who i'm talking to!

marcy - i LOVE sweet potato fries and would never put one of those things in my mouth all growing up. i put vinegar on them..yummy!

okay - have to go do laundry...more fun later.

WE can all do this - we are strong and just think of how good we will look this summer!!

b: cheerios and skim
s: banana
l: salad w/ gonzo beans, feta, egg whites, black beans, celery (jill: i take bagged lettuce to work and then get all the goodies at the salad bar downstairs that's the only reason they are good - it's not like i prepare all of this the night before!) cheese cubes
s: oatmeal
d: sweet potato fries, cauliflower, salad

way too much to eat today but tomorrow homer and i will do better  (he's cute!)

chubbywifeyIN 04-02-2008 09:08 PM

:frypan: yeah that is how i feel... busiest month is here. April. Evil evil April  Full of finals, papers, interviews (to get my assistantship and internship), group projects and STRESS!!!!!! :barf:It is truly insane. I hate it.

Starting on May 12 I will be doing my internship in the big city of Indianapolis. Wahooo! :carrot:But that is going to be lots of stress. Oh December where are you? I really need my degree and for this to end!!! :book2:Studying has become my life! But today though I wanted to write a paper, I took for me. I paid our rent and ran some other errands and watched some shows, had lunch with my best friend, those kind of things. I needed it. Because tomorrow... that is where it begins to be hectic. I have to do a killer homework assignment, a paper and a huge project ALL by Friday of next week (some are do earlier begining with Monday!) Say a prayer for me that I do not go insane. Haha!

I am so blessed to have met you all. I think of you guys and all the things we are going through often. I know this is doable. All of us will someday be even more beautiful! I am looking forward to it.

I am going to Vegas in August. I really really want to be in the high 150s by then. I KNOW it I can do it. I didn't weigh myself this week. I am trying to do it every 2 weeks, so I don't obsess about the scale. Once I am back on veggies, IT'S ON! :hun:

Anyways, I am totally rambling. BUT I hope all of you had a rockin' day. Thanks for reading my blah blah blah.

Talk to you all soon!

ashisback 04-03-2008 04:26 AM

Phase 1: Day 2

Meal 1- 2 egg whites
Meal 2 - Boca Burger + 6oz. yogurt
Snack - Frozen Grapes
Meal 3 - Oatmeal + 2 egg whites
Worked out 45 mins. @ Curves
Walked 1.5 miles
Ready for Day 3!!!!

jillnicole03 04-03-2008 01:44 PM

MARCYD... Alright Phase 2!! Good job :) 6 lbs is GREAT! I also did WW before FS and always ended up binging since I cold eat whatever I want as long as I was within my points.. but eating really yummy food makes me binge and too much in control! :dust: for the next 2 weeks!

LISA.... I use a notepad so as I read each persons post I can comment to them :) Makes it easier for me ;) I was wondering how you got all the stuff for your YUMMY salad! Good idea :) It looks like we are the same weight right now :) Well I weighed yesterday it said 163.5 so I put 164 for now, and I'm 5'7. I want to be 140... I was 135 before and everyone said I looked way too skinny. Bummer even when I'm too skinny I still have yucky skin.

WIFEY.. I love, love, love your new picture! Sorry life is so overwhelming. I believe in you! You can be in the 150's by August!! Just keep up your great work and your eye on the prize ;) :bunny2:

ASH... Your doing great with your food choices. Day 3 :yay:

Hope EVERYONE else is doing wonderful as well :) I just found a site called www.skinnymyths.com I thought it was very informational and cool to read through when you have some extra time. Yall might already know about it, but if not, check it out! :) Anyways yesterday went great. Again I decided I would do 'healthy eating' for a couple weeks and not concentrate so hard on FS. :yoga:

BF: Yogurt & Coffee
S: 2 Tangerines
L: Bowl of steamed Broccoli w/ oriental lowcal dressing
D: Lean Cuisine Pasta w/broccoli
Walked for 25 minutes, 35 minutes on my elliptical :running: & 50 arm curls

2beautiful2Bfat 04-04-2008 06:35 AM

Hi everyone I miss you all so much!! I just don't have time to get on anymore with 2 babies at home!! I'm telling you 4 kids is a handful!! Anyways weight lossis still going well. But the last 2 days the scale was jumping around liek crazy so I am chocking it up to TOM and not going to let it get me down!

Jill: we did not adopt the baby we are just fostering her but it is a long term placement. It's funny cause everywhere I go now peopel think i have twins so i get stopped ont he street all the time!!

hotmama1983 04-04-2008 01:40 PM

Down 8 lbs!!!

I'm so happy you guys! I had gone up 5 lbs from not excercising and eating like crap and now I lost all of that plus and extra pound! I'm one pound away from being in the 160's !! =)

Its so nice to hear you guys are doing so well!! Thanks for all your support cuz I need it!!

MarcyD!! I stay in the hood girl! I hate it cuz I grew up in Olathe, KS, but oh well! I stay off of 75th and Troost. =( lol!! Its not as bad as some areas, but still, I miss JoCo!!!!

mandygirl 04-04-2008 02:09 PM

Hi ladies,

Just wanted to check in since it had been several days. I really wish that I had better news but I'm just going to be brave and tell you that I had wonderful intentions of starting the FS Phase 1 this week, starting Monday, and although Breakfast through mid-day snack on Monday and Tuesday were great, I ended up blowing it in the evening and unfortunately that led to a not so great rest of the week.

I love the Celebrity Fit Club website, it has tons of great information and tools I just need to find some way to conjure up the kind of will power that all those "big losers" from the show and website have.

Although I know that there is no magic pill or answer, any suggestions or ideas on ways to simplify Phase 1 as much as possible and give it a go again next week.

I MUST get this weight off this time....once and for all and stop the vicious yo-yo dieting that I've done all my life.

Sorry to be the downer post this week....just needed to be honest on my check in with you guys.

Congrats to the group, overall, for doing well and headed in the right direction with your weight loss no matter how large or small.....down.

Have a wonderful weekend guys....although I'm off to a rough start you all help to keep me inspired and give me hope. ;)

Starting weight: 213
Goal weight: 140

MarcyD 04-04-2008 10:38 PM

Hi Ladies -

I lived through one conference. It was just a 24 hours away from home. Luckily they had yogurt and fruit for breakfast. I stayed away from the muffins, sweet rolls, etc. They served us lunch - I had no choices. I ate a green salad with no dressing, 1/2 piece of lasagna. I stayed away from the hot garlic bread, the chocolate at our tables and cookies served for break.

I did sniff some of it though! LOL!!!

Jill - Thanks for the Will Power Dust. So far, so good! :D

2 Beautiful - You are very brave to take in TWO babies. I am assuming you must foster. How wonderful!

HotMama - I grew up in your neighborhood. I know it well! I grew up off
80th street between Troost and Paseo. I used to work at Baptist Hospital just down the street when it was still open.

Mandy - take it one day at a time!

I'm off for vacation and conference number two tomorrow afternoon.

Everybody have a great week!

jillnicole03 04-06-2008 07:03 PM

Hello ladies :) So today my mother, aunt, brother and sister all went on a nature hike and we thought it was a few miles but it was 7!
2 miles up hill! Gooooodness... it's done :yay: I'm exhausted!

less of lisa 04-07-2008 07:43 PM

hey there! you gals are doing great. i had a friend in town from ohio this weekend and let's say i tanked. i gained 2 so i'll update my ticker. so in true form i thought let's eat all the bad stuff in the house so i can be back on tomorrow. i will be doing a strict 14 days of P1 = counting "points" and following the plan. i want to lose 5 lbs before my cali/vegas trip on the 23rd. it's just 2 lbs though and at least i'm starting at a lower weight than before and everybody needs jumpstarted once in awhile....see how i got this size...i can reason myself right into eating! at least it's 2 lbs and only 3 days - not like i'm giving up...okay i pepped talked myself and hope you are all doing better than me.
i look forward to posting my menus everyday too...it's nice to get back on track

2beautiful2Bfat 04-08-2008 05:11 AM

marcy: the 12 month old ismine but the 6 month old is a foster child. I have never done this b4. We are enjoying her though.

My weight seems to be fluctuating up!!! TOM is a week away so I don't know if it isthat or something else. I am annoyed and not sure what to do. I'm back to phase one and hping for a good weigh in by friday.

jillnicole03 04-08-2008 01:07 PM

Lisa.. you can get back on track! Let us know how your P1 is going from now on missy! =)

Beautiful.. Still so proud of you for taking on all that you have! TOM always messes up my weight, don't get stressed on it until a couple days after, if it's still up then time for changes ;)

So Sunday I hiked about 7 miles and I actually had lots of fun, except the 2 miles up hill, but it wasn't as bad as I thought. When I got home I was so drained that I just laid in my bed and relaxed watching tv. The bad part is I was craving EVERYTHING. Grr....
So I ended up eating a little too much :( Then I went to my aunt's that night and she had homemade pizza fresh out of the oven so I had a big piece. Not a good idea!

Anyways yesterday I ate better but I still could have ate smaller portions, I just love eating (obviously).

Yesterday:
BF: Yogurt & 1/4c. oats mixed in
L: Turkey Wrap (from Costco was big shouldn't have ate it all but soo yummy)
D: 5-6 cups Broccoli w/hoison garlic sauce

chubbywifeyIN 04-08-2008 03:27 PM

Lisa- we all fall down sometimes, but it is great you are so exciting at picking yourself back up! Go you! :bravo:

2beautiful- you are doing amazing too. Look at the weight you have lost so far!!! :woohoo:

Jill- turkey wraps, mmmmmm! I am glad you are doing well, and yay for that hike! :congrat:

I myself am happy to say 2 lbs more down. This is by working out and watching what I eat. I am trying to adhere to fat smash, but like i said before, it's not going as well and probably won't be great until the 18th. sadly, I do not know if i can make this months goal, but i can make up for it next month!

my uncle is on atkins, and loves it. anyone know much about it?

off to be busy, as always, lol.

talk to you soon!
-kristin

jillnicole03 04-08-2008 05:51 PM

So girls I have a question...

A lot of the "chat's" start a new thread each month, I think so you don't have to go through a million pages ;) We are getting p to 20 pages.. do you think we should start our chat as a new thread? If yes, I will start a new one and put the link in here for everyone to use, so there is no confusion ;)

Let me know :)

less of lisa 04-08-2008 08:02 PM

thanks girls for the support and encouragement. i need it as today was not the day i thought it was going to be on FS!

jill - sounds good to start another one!

kristin- good for you!! i love your new pic too...you remind me of a very good friend of mine. are u italian? also Atkins...i give it a try at least once a year but it never works for me b/c i think oh i can have a block of cheese and a block of cream cheese and so i will lose 4 and gain 4 and then just stay stagnant. it's just not the diet for me however my mom's boyfriend has lost 100 lbs on it and just lives his life basically on it. i'm not a big meat person so that may be another reason it doesn't work for me but i feel like try whatever works for ya!

okay so i have a question for everyone...i've been tossing around the idea of weight watchers. i love fat smash and i always get results but then because it is a little restrictive i eventually go off of it and then i find myself off plan for a few weeks before getting back on. maybe i'll do phase 1 for 9 days, weight watchers for 2 weeks, then phase 1 for 9 days..and rotate this way...

okay biggest loser is on...i love this show!!!

Hi, ladies! Okay, I know I've been out of the loop lately, but I have been reading. I was planning my sister's wedding shower for 150 people (yes, 150 people -- we invite everyone!). It was a bad week food wise. The theme of the shower was Italian, since they got engaged in Italy. I made 50 pounds of pasta (spaghetti and fettuccini alfredo -- killer!). So, I ate it as I made it, which is the worse thing to do. I can't even tell you how bloated I feel after eating it. I totally wish I didn't do that. It's amazing, since I used to eat pasta all the time...no wonder I felt so crappy. I hadn't eaten it in a few weeks and was feeling great. I think that even though it was a bad week, it did teach me that I really do need to lay waaaay off the pasta.

As for all of you...I absolutely love the new pictures. You all look so adorable. I want to look cute, too! I haven't had any new pictures taken of me in a long time, since I hide from the camera. Maybe someone got a cute one from the shower I can post (well, before I got a little sauced!).

I'm away this week on business and don't get much say in my food choices. I'm going to try to think smart, but next week, I'm smashing in phase one again! Again. But I have the goal of my sister's wedding (in front of 300 people) in the beginning of June in a shiny purple gown. My May is going to be hardcore, since I'm planning on working otu with my trainer non-stop to make sure I look g-o-o-d in that dress! Woo hoo!!!

Good luck this week, ladies! We can do it.
PS, I'm all for posting on a different thread. I'm a team player! ;)
