Default Fat Smashers Weekly Support~ 4/2-4/8

Major emotional stress this last week led me to eating way too much especially of the bad stuff. I'm hoping to correct all that but starting back on phase one today, and working out everyday after work so I can do a longer workout than time allows on my lunch break.

My strawberry banana smoothie this morning left me feeling much better than the bagels and cream cheese I had last week for breakfast.

I'm on phase 1 again as well. I also pulled out my Turbo Jam and bellydancing DVDs, to workout with. I love Turbo Jam and I love bellydancing, so hopefully, I'll stick with that.

I drank 6 alcoholic beverages on Friday night and two on Saturday night. I haven't had drink in months, and I had to have TWO events scheduled in the middle of my Phase I? I should have had more willpower.

My Phase I is over at the end of Tuesday. I may extend for two days to make up for the wine extravagaza. Is that recommended?

You really don't have to "leave" phase 1 if you don't want to. I did phase 1 the first time for 16 days because I needed major results. I plan on doing just the 9 days this time through though, since I plan on completing each phase this time around.

My pants feel bigger, but I cheated and looked at the scale. I've only lost 4lbs. Perhaps because my diet didn't really need a major overhaul. Or perhaps because I already was drinking 80oz of H2O a day. Or perhaps the wine. Who knows? But I really would like some more flexibility in my diet, so I will likely move to Phase 2 just to add back in some chicken.

Hey all,
I'm back. I even managed to eat pretty much on plan. I got off a little (some biscuits and gravy and fried catfish), but I planned for it. So, I think I will go
p1 for again. I met my goal for last month though. 184 still, but I am shooting for 174 by Mother's Day. Sounds like everyone is doing pretty good. Just hang in there. It's a journey. I found that I really didn't even want to get too much off track with my eating while I was gone, so that was good.
Well I am off to get some oatmeal and do some exercise. Check in with you all later.

Hello all! I hope everyone is doing well and fat smashing. I feel so great. I just did some cardio, and my body loves me right now for that. I get the new Fat Smash book in the mail tomorrow, so I am excited.

I have a big motivation to lose the weight. I'm going to Orlando in late July and am going to see family I haven't seen in more than 12 years. So, hopefully, I'll lose a good amount of weight by then.

I thumbed through the new extreme Fat Smash book at B&N today. I didn't buy it, because, well, it seemed like it sucked. Much more regimented "stages" (aka phases) that had you eating a very specific menu of food every day. I would much rather stick with the original plan outlined in Fat Smash Diet. I think the premise behind the new book is to drop weight FAST, as in 3 weeks. That's not what I need.

Just my $0.02.

Hey all,
Well I went back to p1 yesterday. Wasn't so bad. I made a bean and kale soup that i really enjoyed for dinner. My hubby thought it was bland, but I 've been cutting back on the salt. At any rate, I'll post it in the recipes.

I am going to go check out the new book. I borrowed the other one from a friend and would like to have one of my own. I actully like menu plans, so that new book my be better for me. taday, I am going to stick to p1. Probably until Sunday.

Sbebs01-How are you doing? got any more challenges going on? My family and I are thinking about starting one up to keep us on track.

rachinma-If you've already got a good foundation, then the weight may not drop off a quickly.

veggielady-we're doing the florida family thing too, so that's my motivation as well. I've got another 15-20 I want off before then, so I am going to be very disciplined.

Keep smashing everyone, and for those who've already got their new books, let us know what you think.

I'm so tired...I worked my butt off doing turbo jam. It feels good though.

So I read through the new book today. So far, it looks like something I can do. I wonder if I have to eat exactly what he has planned out. I'm not a fan of eggs, so I hope I can avoid having to eat that for breakfast. I like how in the snack section, we can have a cookie or two

Hi Everyone:

I haven't officially started yet, but I will start on Sunday. I usually go to the grocery store on Saturdays, so I need to go through the original Fat Smash book and get everything for the detox so I can get started. I am too excited!

Has everyone on this site been dropping pounds. I have been on so many diets, I am really tired, but I can't give up.

I am trying to find a spot to fit in, since I just started out yesterday, but I know it will probably definately be under the Fat Smash area, even if it is just logging in everyday. I don't want to go to so many threads and then forget where I was.

Have a great day!

I lost 7lbs in the 9 days. And I even had one slice of pizza yesterday (just one and salad with it!) and 6 glasses of wine last weekend (Hello, headache!). So, yeah, I've lost weight.

I really enjoy eating this way. And I know Dr. Ian doesn't require calorie counting, but I find it really useful to track my food in www.FitDay.com.

Good luck!
