Okay, so within' the first FOUR DAYS of detox I lost 5 lbs. Not that I'm not grateful, but, (there's always a but right?) In the last 10 days I haven't lost AN OUNCE!!!!!!!!!!.
So through more than half of detox and a few days into phase 2 I'm not loosing anything!
Here is todays sample menu, it's a little less than 1,500 cals.
B-Quaker Oatmeal (1/2 cup), egg beaters (1/2 cup) (I'm unclear if I can have eggs AND meat? I don't own the book yet, I also haven't eaten this yet so if someone can get back to me and let me know I still have a chance to not eat it!)
Your menu looks okay. Are you drinking enough water? Eating alot of fiber and not drinking enough water can bloat you and make you retain fluid. Or it does for me anyway...
Eating every 3 to 4 hours helps keep your metabloism up. But, by the look of it... you are eating 6 meals, so you are probably eating pretty frequently. You may have to decrease your calories a bit.
In phase 2.. Dr. Ian says that you should increase your exercise. How much did you exercise in phase 1? You should increase that on phase 2.
And finally.. you know how we ladies like to retain fluid around that time of the month.. could you be experiencing that???
Sorry to not be more help. But, if you are eating less and exercising more... you HAVE to lose eventually. You could be experiencing a plateau. In that case... decrease calories some and increase the exercise.
I found that at that weight, I actually needed to up my calories to stay out of the "omg body we're starving, hold on to everything" phase. In general, at 225, I do 3 days of 1400 calories, 1 day of 1800, then 3 more days of 1400. It's working well for me, as I finally got out of that stall I had for 6 FREAKING WEEKS!! I just upped my calories from 1200-1400 into the 1400-1600 range. You may actually need more calories. I know at the higher weights, i ate much more calories and still managed to lose. Remember, the less you weigh, the less you need, so if you're already under 1500, you'll need to go to low in order to continue to lose. Good luck!
I think it may well be that i"m retaining fluids. I don't drink NEARLY enough water, especially for my weight. I just forget. I mean water is ALL I drink, I just rarely drink it.
and according to www.thedailyplate.com I'm eating about 200% sodium a day!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I started keepign it below 100% RDA yesterday) So I'm SURE I'm retaining, plus all the fiberous foods.
Guess we are confusing you a bit. sorry. (: Here is a link to a calculator that I use to help me. It will calculate the calories that you need to reach your goal. Hope that helps.
