Default Help!!!!!!!!

Hello everyone. I am need of some major help. I am struggling to make it a full nine days thru Phase 1 and I am really in bad shape. I follow the guidelines for what to eat and when to eat but I end up the same.... hungry. I was really excited about starting this diet bcz I am vegetarian so I thought it would be easy but it is not. Can anyone please shed light on what I might be doing wrong? Can anyone give me examples of what you ate/are eating for breakfast, snacks, lunch, dinner? Maybe I am just putting foods together wrong? At any rate I am really getting discouraged. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

are you eating enough meals and snacks? Eat when you are hungry. I believe the book says 4-5 small meals a day plus healthy snacks.

I usually eat a salad and three different veggies or a gardenburger or something with my meal. I also eat my meals about every 4-5 hours.

Hi,

It is important to make sure that you are eating enough. And it helps to spread the allowed carbs (brown rice, oatmeal, fruit) out through out the day. This keeps your blood sugar levels even. I also make sure that I am drinking LOTS of water. Sometimes I mistake thirst for hunger. But, if you are hungry EAT! Grab an apple or eat some yogurt. Don't go hungry. In my opinion.. that is what makes diets fail.

Here is an example of my menu:

B~ 1 c. cooked oatmeal w/ cinnamon and small amount of splenda, 1 c. skim milk

S~ apple

L~ 4 egg white omelet ( I use egg sub.) w/spinach and mushrooms, orange, water

S~ Yogurt

D~ 2 cups of brown rice, 2 cups of pinto beans, 1 c skim milk

S~ yogurt w/grapes

I drink at least 64 oz of water a day. But usually get somewhere around 100 oz. in. I also eat every 3 to 4 hours.

Good luck to you!!

Sherry

Greetings Gotagoal,

The girls have said everything I could think of.
You should provide us a sample menu as well.

Here is mine

B One cup of oatmeal, one cup of milk, and nectarine

S vanilla lowfat yogurt with berries

L soup and salad and fruit for something sweet

S cup of carrots and tomatoes with one tbs of fat free ranch

D Brown rice with Fat Smash Friendly Chili

S if I'm not still full or not about to go to bed some pineapple

and tons of water all day. I try to drink two cups every hour.

Hmm, personally I would eat the max allowed items of Brown Rice 2(cups), and oatmeal (1 cup cooked). You can eat more fruit too. You don't just have 1 piece. Fruits and veggies are unlimited. Did you make a pot of soup? You can also put some brown rice in there. It will fill you up. Also try the chili recipe that filled me up last night. And I only had it 1 cup of brown rice.
And also I noticed on your first snack it is suppose to be heavy. Have you tried adding yogurt, or drinking 1 c of milk, we're allowed 2 a day. I'm just going by what you have on your post. You should try one cup of rice for lunch and 1 cup for dinner. I hope this helps!! Let us know how you're doing.

I'm sorry to sound so rude, I re-read my post, I meant to say you don't have to have just one piece of fruit. I start typing and not thinking sometimes, Sorry!
