Default Hello and Good Evening!

How are you all????

Gary-
Too much on your plate due to unforeseen circumstances. Pray for endurance and strength. Do you have a puppy? Gary (DH) wants to breed our Nikki Girl and I don't want him too. Too much work especially since he himself is a workaholic. It would be all on me. I have hard enough time working all week, cooking all new ways, keeping laundry/house up, not keeping up with his bookkeeping, and wanting to make jewelry. Can't happen.

Angel-lover-
Do you collect the angels such as, Angel of Joy, Angel of Harmony, Angel of peace, etc.? Wish I could view your TV show. Sounds great.

Mitchypoo-
Dinner was just ok. The nut breading would have been better if I had used only one flavor nut. The sesame rice pasta left alot to be desired. I'm just glad I had some sweet onion/mustard dressing from Subway left over from lunch. That covered the bland tastes.

McKenna-
How have you been and have you started a plan as yet?

SunnyD-
Whereeeeee Areeeee Youuuuu!

My daughter just arrived to discuss wedding stuff. Later!

Thumbs up

Hello everybody! I'm so excited!! I just finished doing Billy Blanks The Power Within video and it was great! The best part is, he starts with prayer (I've never heard of that on an exercise video!) and keeps you focused on Jesus as well as exercise. I never thought I'd like doing TaeBo, but this changed my mind. So Mkay, I have at least found a great workout. I like walking, but this video really made me sweat! Now I just need to get a food plan going. I have aquestion about water (don't laugh!). Do any of you count carbonated water as part of your daily quota? I can drink more of that than I can regular water. Probably because it's more like diet soda and I'm a wimp! The stuff I buy has no sodium, just artificial sweetener, so I wonder if that can count towards my 8 cups/day.
Hope you are all having a great week-end. It's beautifully sunny and warm in Bangor today!

You made me chuckle... I am here
I don't usually write much on the weekends when my hubby is home. Buuut... ... he just left for work - he got called out, so I thought I would take the time to catch up

That's a drag that the chops upset you like that... how did you cook them up? I enjoy chops stuffed with garlic slices and marinated in Italian Dressing (Ken's lite) and then cooked on the grill --- yummy I don't understand why you were bouncing off the walls??? Did I miss something? I use parmesan cheese as a coating too I have turkey slices in the fridge for tomorrow that I am going to coat with parmesan, fresh garlic & basil and seasoned with garlic pepper - all served with full grain pasta and homemade sauce. A Sunday without pasta is a sin with Italian families

I enjoy Curves allot! I sure did miss going this last week (being ill & all). I will go on Monday morning early if I can... Joe & I have to be at church by 9:30 to sing for a funeral - someone at our church requested we sing for his funeral. I don't think we know him, but he knew us Curves opens at 7:30am on Monday and so I should be able to make it fine. Tuesday I have a Mammogram Appointment @ 10am (Oh Joy --- Not! ). That's great that you are going to go back on Monday! WooHoo for walking 40min too... I did 2 miles today. But I still feel just a bit tired.

*ANGEL*
I am so glad that you are feeling so much better --- me too
You are so welcome to use save any image you want... I hope you don't mind, but I am using Photobucket now too - so cool! I didn't even know something like that exsisted. Now I am able to use all the images and animations I have saved all these years... cool!

Your birthday sounded wonderful!!! I am so happy that you had a nice time!!! And made some great memories You are so very deserving Yes, I knew when your birthday was... but wasn't on because I wasn't well --- I even had a huge post it note on the computer Oh well, I am glad all went well and you had a good day to remember fondly.

So glad you liked the poem
I wasn't sure if anyone saw it

*McKENNA*
I have Billy Blanks Tae-Bo tapes too and think he is such a great Christian man (so rare in Hollywood!) - you have given me the desire to go get his new one! I love his workouts and like to use them when I want a change in routine. I have gloves and everything If you only saw the collection of exercise tapes I have I am very happy for you!!!! It was sunny here today too --- it just now got cloudy. I have been to Bangor When I dated Joe we lived in Brunswick and we use to go to Portland all the time... I think we have been all over Maine at one time or another. It sure is beautiful there! We usually go in the Fall to visit my parents & family.

You sound so excited!

*MICHELE*
I do hope that the weekend is treating you well...
sunny days and smiles
*Thinking of you*

*~*~*

*Hello's to everyone else!!!

My big adventure this week... I went and got my hair cut and colored yesterday (my first day out of the house all week!). I did the base color myself, but my SIL did the other shades in my hair. I'll post a pic or two for you to see, okay --- Oh, I updated My Profile page with a picture too She did a great job with the cut I think - I never thought I would want shorter hair, I have had it long since I can remember... it feels great!

Have a nice evening...
and a Sunday that is Filled with
{{{Hugs}}} from God.

Sunny~how nice to see you on the weekend! Your new do is sooooo cute! I love it! You are a pretty lady.

Worked today and feeling a little better after seeing the chiro last night. I felt worse after i left there yesterday, so i was pleasantly surprised that it's a little better. But better is not good and i'm still having trouble with tummy and generally feeling icky. I went and got some flax oil as the chiro suggested and started that. Also trying to keep up supplements. Took a nap this afternoon. Didn't go to dinner with my cousin, just not up to it.

Tomorrow i have church early and then breakfst with my last Alpha group, John will be there! We'll see how that goes.

Good evening everyone! Yes....Mkay I collect ALL angels! Never met an angel I didn't like. I've been collecting for 12 yrs. A housefire in November of 2002 destroyed a lot of them, & the remaining were then stolen, along with everything else we had in storage that survived the fire. My MIL gave me a surprise "Angel Shower", & I got a lot to start a new collection. I'm still receiving angels! I'll never forget the other ones, or the friends who helped me with the collection...but, I have new memories now. About the TV Program...we were on the internet for awhile...had to go off temporarily. If/when we go back on, I'll let you know. Thanks for the sweet comment. McKenna...Sorry to tell you this, but carbonated water is a big NO NO! You need the real thing, & lots of it. In fact, it's fattening! If it's hard to drink enough water...try using a straw. You can drink a lot of water at one time, & it's not so hard. I've done that. Just keep trying...you can do it. The cargonated water seems to make a lot of people think it's the same. I thought so too, but, researched & found out different. Good luck. SunnyD...Your hair is soooo cute! It'll be cooler for the summer, too. Of course, I don't mind about Photobucket....it's great, isn't it?! It's not mine, anyway...but, sweet of you to ask me. I've not found anything that is as good, or better than that site! Oh, I thought I'd give you a little something I found....hope you like it. I instantly thought of you, when I found it!
Mitchypoo...I'm so sorry you're not feeling well these days. I'm praying for you. Take care of yourself.
Hello to everyone else....have a good Sunday!

So glad you gals liked my "Do" *MICHELE & CHARLOTTE*

The picture above is the front of our home... we still have some plantings in flats there and the stairs need to be washed, but it still looks pretty sweet if I do say so myself I had to try it from the photobucket --- such a great site. I am able to use my pictures now in the post instead of an attachment - Thanks for the kitties ANGEL! I tried to visit your site, Angel. but for some reason it didn't go through - so I will try again later, okay. I was up early this morning and thought I would check in...

*GARY*
Hope all is going well with you
How did the Ceremonies go with Ron? Did his clothes survive

Have a Beautiful Sunday Everyone!

Your house is fixed beautifully, SunnyD! I'll be so glad when I can work on the yard, etc. You & DH are so talented!
Thanks for telling me about the site. I had made a mistake on the address. It's fixed now. I decided to put it in the signature....someone might enjoy it sometimes. I hope so.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good Sunday Morning! I'm home from church with my little guy - BAD cold unfortunately. Sunny, I too am a collector of exercise videos! You'd think I'd be a twig with all the videos lurking on my shelves!! Maybe the fact that they are all covered in dust is a clue...I think after I've done this TaeBo tape a while I'll get his other Believers workout which is more for toning. Yes, it is very refreshing to have your exercise instructor remind you to stay focused on Christ and what He wants for your body. It made me look at weight loss in a different way completely; God wants me to be healthy, not a super model(like THAT would ever happen anyway!). By the way, you are avery lovely woman and your hair looks great!
Angel...I'm bummed about the water! Everything I've read also says to drink plain water, but I didn't know carbonated could make you fat. Guess I'll be ditching the fizzy stuff. Is it the sweetener that causes the problems? I'll try the straw method today and see if I can increase my intake.
Have a lovely day everybody! I really enjoy looking at all the cute things you put on your posts - it got my day off to a smiley start!

Default Happy Sunday!

Happy Sunday!

Went to church early this a.m. and it's a beautiful morning! I got there right at the start of church and then guess who came and sat next to me.........John! I was happy he came to sit with me, but also found myself a little nervous. I always tease him about sitting on the fun side, so we laughed about that. It was nice to share church with him. Then the 6 of us went to breakfast at a new coffee shop, it was good food, we had a good visit and lots of laughs. I gave John the book The Purpose Driven Life, we had talked about it, so i thought he'd be interested. We talked about meeting next month, later in the month because of the holiday and we're going to celebrate 2 birthdays. Should be fun. I could see people questioning......so what's going on with them (John and me), kind of funny. It's probably a big rumor in church now too, kind of how my church is. The choir director had a thing for him and she saw us today, so i'm sure they'll be talk. I don't care. I'm just happy to call him my friend.

I'm going to go to the Mall of America today, need to get a few specific things, but wanted to try walking around a bit. My hip was hurting at church, but i have to say it's better overall. If I'm feeling relaly good i'm going to go see Shrek2, dying to see it.

Hi Michele! A small group of our friends at church are using The Purpose Driven Life as a share group/Bible study and we love it! We're up to chapter 7. My husband and I read the chapters together and then discuss the thoughts to ponder at the end of each chapter. We really enjoy that time together. Hope your friend likes the book!

Default Dieters devotions for June 6, 2004

June 6

Luke 5:12
And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, 'Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.'

Being overweight can sometimes feel like having leprosy. Fatness sets us apart from others and makes us feel different. We feel like outcasts, rejected by our 'thin is in' society. Our greatest hope comes to us through the power of the Lord, who is willing to help us in every way possible in our attempts to lose weight. Like the man full of leprosy, all we need do is stretch out our hands to Jesus, and He will make us clean. We do not have to live as outcasts, but are full members of the glorious family of our Lord, and He is waiting to welcome us.
Today's thought: Fitness, as well as cleanliness, is next to godliness.

Default Sunday

HI LADIES

Boy I sure miss posting to you all. I have been reading everyday but with all that is going on..well...you know..

Graduation went well for Ron..his report card had nothing less than a C--but Ron is a smart kid...he came down on 6 subject grades.. now mind you they were B to B- C+ to C etc.. but either way 6 grades down...due to LAZINESS!!! Gonna be a looooong summer for that boy Or so he thinks right now! Making him sweat a little...BAD UNCLE in me coming out!! He sure did look sharp though in his FLAME tie!!

Went to church today, great service remembering D-Day.

Angie and I just finished painting the gym-- it was pineapple yellow and we painted it swiss coffee to mellow it out a little.

Angie out walking the puppies right now doing "our homework" this week --heal.

The funeral for my little 4th cousin went well..missed it due to Ron's graduation...we split up as a family..ex-wife and brother to funeral, the rest of us to graduation for Ron. Prayers still requested for their family.

DONNA- LOVE the new hairdo!! YOU ARE GORGEOUS!! I remember a few years back..I wasn't speaking to Angie (did I ever mention sometimes I am not sooo mature? ) because I was mad about something...anyway she went up to San Pedro to get her hair done by her sister the hairdresser...walked in the door with her capris, new hair style and painted toes...looking as "HOT" as I have ever seen and I just caved in!! As I told you before you "OWN" Joe but just like Angie and me--ya both know it already Love the pictures of you house! So homey. Angie wants to know what pixel setting do you use when you post the digital pictures...some come out thumbnail like ours but others much larger like the new one of your house.
