THANKS BOOTSIE -- for your kind words of support and your prayers; yes, Angelic and her family really need to meet JESUS soon to learn of His awesome Love. Pray that I may help in some way if that is GOD'S will; the right words at the right time kind of thing. THANKS!
^PRAYERS^ continue for you and yours ... :hugs: |
I am praying that God will use you in any way he sees fit to help this sick family , for sure Angela isn't the only one that is sick.
|
YES, BARGOO -- that is for sure; so I am praying for them, which is what they all need most right now. Now I see why they have so many relationship difficulties: the whole family is that way (which stems from a lot of hurt and disfunction). How far-reaching alcoholism can go -- it is so sad really.
|
Just wanted to thank you for your prayers for Angelic ~ they are being heard for sure -- she had surgery on her ear on Thursday, and we are just waiting to hear how she is doing. She has lung cancer as well; and they were taking something from her ear so it wouldn't spread to her brain. I just wish her family was a bit more supportive of her. She came to stay with her brother when he had his heart attacks; maybe he forgot that -- I am puzzled by this. Anyways, I am praying that GOD will continue to work in this lady's life and the whole family. Mother thinks that tough love will help; but I think just some AGAPE LOVE would help them all. We don't walk in their shoes; but I am not sure their way has worked up til now. Apparently Angelic was afraid to have the surgery; and that is understandable. I think our prayers may have helped her get the courage to do it; that, and her mother told her to get it done asap. Her surgery was done in Hamilton like mine; and I am sure they did a great job. THANKS for your prayers everyone; it seems lots of families are in desperate need of a showering of GOD's LOVE and healing Grace.
MORE GOOD NEWS -- I received several calls back this week (including today) for services from the Red Cross and other organizations to help DH and I. Starting Monday, a worker will come in to help with his baths and such to give me a much-needed break. More is being arranged; and I am so grateful for that. It took a while but it is finally coming. I hope it all works out well for us (smoothly, I mean; with no hitches this time). THANKS for your prayers in this regard ... |
BTW, I found out something that concerns me a bit this week. I wonder if all Ontarians know that if they want any kind of public health services like an application for a long-term care facility (like a nursing home), mental health worker, home support services, Red Cross Services, etc -- that they have to go through an organization called the CCAC (Community Care Access Committee). They have to do an assessment on the person who requires the services and that includes snooping into your finances, plus asking for POA's for finances and health matters. I am allowed to make decisions along with DH's Specialist and his personal physician which is stated on the government site, but the CCAC asked for written permission. I her told that I don't have to have that at all and if they give me any trouble I won't have anything to do with them -- and I will fire them pronto.
The intake worker (Jessica from the Timmins office) assumed that I must have done something wrong if the PGT got involved in our case. I told her that's not the reason they got involved -- they did it becuz my DH has Alzheimers, and the doctor felt obliged (becuz he thought I was sick). Actually, I was doing quite well at the time -- my doctor (who was in the very same hospital as DH`s) said I was doing excellent, in fact. They just didn't bother meeting or talking with me or my doctor to find that out. So she backed off, but I will tell every worker that comes here that if they give me any guff, they will be asked to leave immediately. If this government thinks that they are going to take over the care and financial affairs of every senior citizen in the province, there will be a revolution in this province like they have never experienced before. They had better watch their P & Q's and how they are treating the seniors, the mentally ill, and disabled becuz as a group they make up at least 50% or more of the population now. I think maybe it is time that seniors form a coalition group to fight for their rights in this province and country, becuz a lot of stuff is going on in the background that they aren't aware of. The CCAC charges OHIP for all the services they provide (like the ones I mentioned above), although they inquire about your finances to see if you can pay for them yourself. Since the Conservative party was in power in the province of Ontario, they have been slowly taking over all the health services in our province. I have talked to so many people (esp seniors) who have no idea this was/is going on at all. It's time to wake up people ... This is why I am asking for prayers that everything goes smoothly without any problems with this group here (the CCAC), as they are providing the services for DH. DH is fed up of going through assessments; as he has been assessed 3 times already. How many times do they need to assess him? This is going overboard, IMO. They upset him with their questions and tests every time they do it; and I have to stand by and watch it. Well, this time will be different. I won`t allow this anymore. They already have all the info they need. They ask questions that are not necessary and if they think I am spending hundreds of dollars on stuff that I cannot afford, it will not happen. If they want it, they can pay for it themselves or shut up ... Gee, do I sound peeved; yes, I am. I have no love for this organization and their tactics, and for good reason. They have caused more problems for my life than was necessary, esp since I have never done anything wrong. I was just trying to get some help for my DH and I. And you know, that is a shame; becuz it could be something that is good for people rather than a nightmare. I believe the intention was to help (esp by most of the service providers) but instead it seems to be about money and control for some of them. The intake worker was unnecessarily snarky with me, and she was dead wrong in her assumptions. So, I thank GOD that HE and others have been helping me so much; and I know that HE will continue to as well. Plus, I THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR PRAYERS TOO, as I know they are helping a lot ... |
Rosebud has her dander up ! Good for you , Rosebud. These people will know who they are dealing with and will learn that they can't run over you.
|
 Yes, but for the moment; just had to get some things off my mind. There, I feel much better. Well, they couldn't find a worker willing to come in today -- so it was a good thing I went ahead and helped DH myself yesterday to keep things on schedule (apparently no-one does any support work on the holidays).
Some workers won't do certain jobs, and I've seen this before like bathing men, fixing or changing urine and colostomy bags -- just not people's favorite jobs so they either refuse or don't show up. They have to get someone to agree to come in for these type of things. If they don't show up or give us grief, I'll just cancel it and do it myself. We have had friends and relatives that have had trouble with workers showing up. I wish they would hire some male nurses/aides to help the men; as they seem to have a hard time getting help the most. Another worker is supposed to come tomorrow -- please pray this goes well. This is to assess the home support help we will get in the future. Hope it goes better than today. Thursday, I was supposed to go to the hospital but the appt is at the wrong time and I can't go; so I tried to change it and there was no-one there to do that. Then on Friday, we are supposed to have a worker come in for DH for one hour -- will they show up??? BARGOO -- hope you are feeling well; DH & I pray for you every day ... |
You know, I saw the WORLD VISION ad on the right side of the page and was thinking about a question a person posted on a youtube thread recently. He/she (the name is ambiguous to me) said that they had a hard time believing in a GOD that would allow over 9 million children under the age of 5 to die every year.
What would you say to that person? I was praying about this and two men from a local church stopped by the very next morning with a free booklet with this question -- WHY SO MUCH SUFFERING AND WHEN WILL IT END? They gave some scriptures that do help us understand a bit better, like 2 Timothy 3:1-4 where it explains how selfish & uncaring some people will be in the latter days/end times. I always tell them that GOD wants them and us to do something about it becuz He said that he gave us dominion over all the earth in Psalms 8, so it is our responsibility to feed and look after everyone on this earth. There really is enuff food and medicine to look after everyone on this planet. It is just getting it to them all and in a timely fashion. Many governments are now working with African and other underdeveloped nations to help in areas of food, agriculture, medicine, education, and technology, as we speak. Many people may not be aware of that. Our country (Canada) targets help to different nations until they don't need any help and then helps others that ask for help. All the rich nations of the world can easily help a nation or two each year spreading the help around even more. Many African nations are doing much better now becuz of this plan. Add in the help of the Red Cross, the United Nations, and organizations like World Vision (as there are several of these kind), these people are being helped more than people know and those stats (mentioned above) are lower than that today. We pray all the time that the most needy nations will be helped asap; and when we hear about an urgent need, we should do whatever we can to help. As a group, Christians and the churches also give a lot; and will continue to. I have added my prayers and ideas and $$$ to help in any way we can. We are not rich, but we have done pretty good, like we donated 250 dollars worth of aluminum cans last year which went to a nun working with street people and the poor in Honduras. I share this only so that you know that there are ways to raise money to give to missions that are important to you. Another way is to save pennies or cash in beer bottles/cans. We have done all this for charity. Let's continue to pray for this matter on a regular basis. |
Rosebud-You're right...we can all do something even if it's 'only' prayer. Our world/countries/states/towns are a mess and it's only going to be God that brings us out of it. I've been praying for you and your DH, even though I haven't had time to be on here for a few days. God brings you to mind and prayers go up. Same for Bargoo and everyone else. Gary's family even came to mind the other day and I knew I had to lift Angie up. I'm sure this has been a difficult few months for her too.
Prayers going for all:hug: |
I think of Gary often Wouldn't h be pleased to know these forums are carrying on ?
|
RONNI & BARGOO -- yes, we still pray for ANGIE and their family too; and they are still on the current prayer list on page one of this thread. I have no doubt that GARY would be pleased that we are still carrying on these threads too. I know that the US has been hurting a lot, and we have been praying for them too.
I think it was JESUS who said that there would always be some "poor" in the world, but I still think He wants us all to do what we can, even if that is just praying for the rich people and our/their governments to do what they can too. OH, BTW -- could you pray for a friend of ours named MARTHA M. (GOD knows who she is); she has cancer again (this time in her bones, as she puts it). She is having chemo again but is in great spirits. She is one of the nicest ladies I have ever known but she lost two siblings right in a row recently: so much for her to deal with but she still smiles and smiles, as always. We love her and we know that GOD does too. THANKS, FRIENDS!!! |
Praying for Martha, I have cancer that has spread to my bones as well as my brain but, Martha I put the Great Physician in charge.

Prayers going up!

We have to put in a new furnace and hot water tank this year, so I have been looking to see if I can find any rebates for that (I have found one so far). Apparently, we were losing almost 50% of our heat out our old chimney; that will be closed up and the new way is much more energy efficient. Plus we pray that our furnace guy will give us the best price he can; and he has guaranteed his estimate. His estimate was the starting price of another company and the same as another company. I checked them out online and was pleased to find that it was fair.
Please pray that GOD will grant me wisdom with my thriftiness to pay it off as quick as I can. I am glad to get it done really; as I will feel a lot safer knowing that it is up to the new codes and not dangerous for us in any way. I am glad to get some work done each year; as everything we do increases the value of our home for the long-run. PRAIZE GOD that we have a good electrician that is looking out for our safety too and he gave a good price on the work he did this week too. Everything will be done before I leave to go down south to see my doctors in October. PRAYERS continue for you and yours ... |
Prayer Warriors: My husband finished his master's degree in Educational Leadership back in June. He's been on several interviews but has yet to get a second interview yet alone a job offer. He has an interview in his current school district on Tuesday. I have several reasons for wanting him to get this job:
1. He wants it. 2. The interview process is literally changing him. He gets depressed and agitated and quite unlike himself. It took him a long time to come to grips with the fact that the job might not happen this year but I am super afraid that if this one doesn't go well that he will plummet again into a pit of despair. 3. Our plans are to do IVF again. When I get pregnant (cause this time it's going to work, God already told me) I want to be able to stay home with the kids and that can't happen unless his salary increases. Yes, it'll still be less than what we would be making together but it'd be enough for us to get by comfortably--and debt free. Those are my three main reasons for asking for your help. I know God gives us what we need and not necessarily what we want---and I know that we don't need this, but it would help us to have the financial stability for me to stay home and raise the kids and focus them on learning to live a Christ-centered life. 4. The extra money while I'm pregnant would be awesome, we could fix the deck and put in a second bathroom (which would all be essential if we ended up with multiple munchkins) The interview is on Tuesday the 10th at 2:00. Thank you. |
KAITIE -- ^Prayers^ are going up for your husband and you as this time. Job seeking is so stressful on everyone. You have legit reasons for wanting this position, and GOD does care about our wants and needs. We really hope all your dreams come true ...
HEY, check out this beautiful song called YOUR GREAT NAME, sung by Natalie Grant; I just love it -- it is so uplifting. Enjoy ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gbBrlAVm20 |
Katie, all your reasons sound valid but my suggestion is to Trust God He may have something better planned for your husband,

BARGOO -- I so agree with you about this point; that is why I say with my requests ... "if it is your will". If it is not, please give me peace about it. HIS WILL just means what is good, right, and best for me and mine. Whenever we are praying about any of our needs or wishes, we must always realize that GOD knows what is best for us in every situation. Even though we may want something very badly, it may not be good for us at this time (or ever, in some cases). Some things may appear good on the outside, but GOD knows the whole picture and we don't. How many times I didn't get a specific job only to find out later that no-one wanted it; or there were problems with the job, the boss or other staff, the atmosphere, the pay, the workload, or all of the aforementioned. This has happened to me in many, many areas in life. If something isn't going the way you expected or wanted, look closer to see if there is something you may be missing. Another example is you may meet someone and they seem really nice at first, but as you get to know them better, you start to see all their flaws and shortcomings; they may not be what they seemed at all (some people are very pretentious). You may wonder why someone has no friends, only to find out it is becuz they are the worst gossip you ever met; or they say the most unkind things about people all the time. The other thing is TIMING: we have mentioned that here before. It may not be the right time for your request. So ask for peace for this moment until you know what His will is for your life. It is hard to be patient and I am going through this myself right now; so I ask GOD every night to help me TRUST HIM THAT ALL THINGS WILL TURN OUT FOR GOOD IN THE END (according to His will). And though we may be hurting now, remember that He is just trying to save us from ever worse pain down the road. I sure have been learning this lessen over and over again as you all know -- that is ... not only Trusting GOD for each moment, but ongoing Trust in GOD each day, no matter happens. So, THANK YOU GOD for sustaining me each day!!! Garth Brooks sang a song once called UNANSWERED PRAYERS that was so poignant ... well sorry, you can't find this song sung by Garth on the net -- only a million copycats instead. That's too bad; guess Garth needs more money $$$ ;) Hey, I'm a huge fan and still have many of his tapes (that I bought); but you know, I think there should be a rule that once you're a gazillionaire, you could share a little with your fellow man, eh? Oh boy, I'd better not get started ... |
GREAT NEWS -- my DAD and Stepmother, GRACE surprised us with a visit today. The long trip was hard on them both, but they made it. DAD's tumor surgery has been postponed until SEPTEMBER 27th; please pray about this surgery. THANKS and PRAIZE GOD, they are both doing so very well; and they both looked very good too!!!
OH, MORE GOOD NEWS -- the PGT has redirected our funds back to us into our account; while they make their decision about guardianship which they say may take several months to process. That is fine with me: the only one that has disappeared is the provincial/federal rebates; I am presently trying to find out what happened to them (if they got lost in all the red tape), or if they were cancelled unbeknown to me. |
Thank you everyone! DH said the interview went fine, he's just trying to remain cautiously optimistic--which is better than the last couple of interviews.
I agree with 'thy will be done'.....I just seriously hope thy will and my will are the same at this moment in time. :-) |
KAITIE -- we really do understand; I can't tell you how many jobs I applied for in my working life (hundreds & hundreds & hundreds, at the very least). That's the reason I shared with you what I did; I can recall when I was younger going away from interviews in tears (after I left their office or building, that is). They can be a terrible blow to your self-esteem. I wish the employers were more sensitive to how stressful these interviews and all those tests they make you do are. I really do feel for him and anyone applying for work these days, and we are still praying for him ...
^PRAYERS^ continue for you and yours ... |
Thanks! No call back so he didn't get a second interview--again. I wish I could see a video of what he's doing during these interviews that's turning people off.
Anyway, on to the next thing. |
Kaitie-Try not to get too discouraged on your DH's behalf and also not let him become discouraged. My sister has been looking for a job for over 3 years (since getting her Master's degree) and she gets calls, goes for interviews, and never gets called back. There are sooooooooo many people out there looking for jobs and so few jobs available, it seems like a losing situation no matter how well you interview. At my DH's plant, they, by law, have to advertise any openings and show proof of interviewing, but, usually, they already know who's getting the job, because, I really HATE to say it, but IT IS who you know in this economy. If you can afford it, make sure your DH is out making contacts, while volunteering somewhere or even on the golf course (I know- I cringe when I say that because who has money to play golf these days). When my DH was wrongfully laid off last year (God and the union got his job back), I started applying and got NO calls, not even from stores. It's a hard world out there-I have too much education for many places to want to hire me (they're afraid I'll leave again after they train me), but I've been out of the professional workplace for too long for anyone to hire me in my degree profession. Prayers for you and your DH:hug:
|
KAITIE -- I agree with the others; encourage him to just keep on going becuz it may not be that he is doing anything wrong. They may be looking for a certain type of person or one with certain qualifications. Remember that they have so many people they can choose from that they can afford to be very, very fussy.
You know, I saw an Oprah show once where they sent out people for interviews and it was sad what happened -- the sexiest women got the job offers most often, even though others were attractive and had the same or more qualifications. Many of the male employers based their hiring on the instant physical attraction of the applicant. I recommend that people spiff themselves up as much as possible whether male or female but don't go overboard. You don't really want to be hired to be chased around a desk all day; I know women that has happened to, so you have to be careful how you present yourself. So wait for the positions that are more serious and career-oriented. You know, unanswered prayers are sometimes the right answer; there are some jobs he may not really want. I always thanked GOD for helping me "dodge that bullet" so2speak on several occasions (that went for jobs and men) ... ;) RONNI -- I really agree with you about networking; and many, many teachers play golf: that is so true. Some schools allow you to volunteer and that is another way they can get to know you and your assets. You can join boards and parent associations to get better known as well. UPDATE: My DAD and stepmother had to go back home early as the weather here was too cold and wet for them; their furnace wouldn't work and they didn't feel well. Now it is on to getting all the pre-op tests done as his surgery is booked for SEPTEMBER 27TH. We are praying ahead that all will go really well for him; he looked good and is very optimistic. PRZ GOD and thanks for your prayers for them. UPDATE: We are getting some good help from the RED CROSS here to help DH and I each week. We met the supervisor this week and she will be coming again next week to arrange for more help for us. The respite care is too expensive for us; even supplemented, they want $36.00 each day and that would be almost $600.00; only the rich could afford this (anyone else has to forget it). Maybe it is for the best anyways. UPDATE: The PGT Rep keeps asking me for more and more copies of various documents -- but won't say why. They don't seem to get that it costs us a lot of money for all these trips back and forth. I am doing the best I can and pray that the guardianship will be transferred to me asap. THANKS FOR YOUR PRAYERS; I am so trying not to be stressed out by the things they are doing. May the LORD grant me peace about all these matters in the meantime. PRAIZE: I wanted to THANK & PRAISE GOD and you all for your prayers. We have had a problem going on here on and off since we returned home that was getting out of hand. Every time that I thought it was solved, it would come up again; so I prayed and prayed my head off asking GOD for a permanent solution which He gave me. DH was part of the problem and I had to talk to him to keep his part in this; and have to remind him daily becuz of his memory issues. Sometimes in life, we have to take drastic actions; and some things have to be sacrificed in order to see any lasting change. I am so grateful that I am finally seeing positive results and we have some peace again. ^PRAYERS^ continue for you and yours, as always ... |

OUR FRIEND, MAGGIE -- is having problems with ongoing VERTIGO including dizziness, nausea, lack of balance, and weakness. She had to go to the hospital for it today. They don't seem to know what is causing it or what to do about it. That is the third person I know that has told me they had that problem; the other two are better now (and we just prayed for them and it went away). We ask that GOD will help alleviate these scary symptoms and the cause for MAGGIE too. THANKS WARRIORS ...
EDIT2ADD: was talking to my BIL and he told me that he suffered from vertigo in the past and it turned out that he had an infection in his inner ear that he wasn't aware of. He had to have surgery on it and has never had it again since. So we are praying the source of MAGGIE's vertigo will be found so they can help her permanently. :) |
PRAYER REQUEST FOR CAROL -- who had breast cancer; they took the lumps out and believe they have it all, but she is starting radiation soon to make sure there are no rogue cancer cells left. Prayers for comfort and peace through these treatments for her would be appreciated. THANKS.
PRAIZE REPORT -- THANKS & PRAIZE for my Aunt's niece LAURIE, who also had tumors removed, is doing well at this time. She just finished her chemo (she had a different nausea drug to prevent her from gaining weight), but still has side effects like me (esp sore muscles and joints). It will take up to a year for these symptoms to leave our bodies. My numbness in my hands is getting much better, just have it occasionally now. Would you believe my wrists are really sore now; probably from the canes? It is a very cold & damp here right now; we are praying that when the dry cold comes all these achy symptoms will go away too. ALSO, DH & have some kind of flu or cold bug that we would like to go away for good; it is breaking up in the chest for us (phlegm), but I think some prayers will help too. THANKS WARRIORS ... |
Prayers going up for all:hug:
|
THANKS FOR YOUR PRAYERS EVERYONE -- MAGGIE has been in and out and into the hospital having falling episodes, so they are keeping her in for awhile until they figure this out (they think she may have had a stroke, again). Still praying that the doctors will figure this out so she can get the correct treatments and feel well again.
We are praying daily for my DAD's (colon) tumor surgery that is booked for September 27 (this Friday). Praying for the surgeons for wisdom, knowledge, insight, and skilled hands as they take his tumor out; plus that DAD will heal up quickly and well, just like I did. PRAIZE GOD!!! Also LORD, grant him and Grace some special peace coming up to the surgery, so they wont worry. THANKS WARRIORS! When I was doing my devotions last night before bed, I received some great reminders about remembering that GOD is MIGHTIER (Psalm 91) than any trouble we may have in our lives at this time. HE is mightier than any circumstance, any situation, any person, any problem, any health issue, any government, and any nation. I felt so blessed being reminded of this and will read that one more often. May HE give us wisdom and guidance as we trust HIM will all our problems each day. May HE fill us and our homes with HIS Peace, and HIS Love, and HIS Joy always!!! PRAYERS continue for you and yours ... |
Hello,
I was wondering if people on this thread would mind saying a quick prayer for a friend of mine's wife (tricky to know where to put that last apostrophe!). She was having having dizzy spells and passing out for a couple of weeks, the doctors took some tests and instead of being told to go home and not work so hard, she is having a biopsy on a brain tumour on Friday. Please pray that it is benign and pray for her family (hubby & sons [20, 17, 15]). Thank you all so very, very much. |

HIGHC -- that's exactly why we and this thread are here: prayers are on the way for your friend's wife ... |
Prayers for all requests have been sent .

"HIGHC -- that's exactly why we and this thread are here: prayers are on the way for your friend's wife ...

Prayers sent. God will provide the help, comfort, and wisdom needed for all the needs of His people.

DAD's COLON TUMOR SURGERY -- is scheduled for tomorrow, so we are praying for peace for him and Grace tonight as well as for the doctors for the surgery tomorrow. I know all our family will be on their toes until we hear that he is OK, just like they were for mine last December. THANKS for all your faithful prayers for my family; they are so needed, and so appreciated too!!!
|
DAD's COLON TUMOR SURGERY -- is scheduled for ??? (we haven't heard otherwise); so we are praying for peace for him for the "colonoscopy" surgery tomorrow. EDITED; EDITED; EDITED. (Note: my DAD finds this just as bad as any other surgery; and I understand that). I know all our family will be on their toes until we hear that he is OK for the tumor surgery (which we think will be in October now), just like they were for mine last December. THANKS for all your faithful prayers for my family; they are so needed, and so appreciated too!!!
WHOOPS -- CANCEL that message; I decided to call to check just in case and turns out that tomorrow is for pre-op TESTS like the colonoscopy mentioned above (gee, I faintly recall this happening last time too). Well, you know his memory is good for his age but there was some miscommunication there. I don't know the tumor surgery date; but will let you know when I know ... yes, I definitely recall this happening last time too ... Thanks for your understanding ... :) Also, my sister is concerned that GRACE wants to drive my DAD for the surgery which will be in SUNNYBROOK HOSPITAL IN TORONTO, so she is going to try to get them to let my BIL drive them. (I was hoping they would go ahead a day and take a hotel room; but not sure my DAD would want to do that.) We'll pray my DAD won't be too stubborn. I wonder if he just wants to make sure they have a car there so he can escape as soon as he wants to leave ... yes, I'm sure that is right. I know my DAD and hospitals (not a fan for sure). ;) PRAYERS continue for you and yours as well ... |
PRAIZE REPORT -- THANKS TO GOD and for all our prayers everyone; my blood pressure numbers were down by 30 points today (from 167 to 137). Isn't that great? All the measures I have been taking have been helping too, I'm sure. Thank GOD for His wisdom in that area: prayers, psalms, devotions, positive scriptures, songs, TRUSTING GOD; early to bed, help for DH, and eliminating some troublesome people from our lives, and walking every night after dinner, all have worked together for good for this fab result.
I am wearing a monitor for 24 hours to see the consistency but it has been staying low all day and evening so I am so elated about that. THANKS once again for your prayers concerning all these matters ... |
PRAISE REPORT -- THANKS to GOD and you all for your prayers; I kept tabs on my blood pressure levels and they went right down to a good normal range. The last reading was 126/69 on Friday; that is fabulous!!! So all the de-stressing measures and prayers have helped for sure; and my muscle pain is getting better each day too. I think part of it was also caused by a stomach bug that DH and I caught over the last 1-2 weeks. I have been resting and doing nothing strenuous at all. THANKS once again, friends ...
EDIT2ADD: Will be getting a cat scan & blood tests on Monday, October 7th (hope all is clear); and will be seeing my oncologist on the 17th as well for the followup & checkup & results. We are praying for positive results for all. Would sure appreciate your prayers about that too; thanks! ALSO, MURRAY JAMES has gone home to be with our LORD: he was a devout Christian; and he and his wife, LINDA, ran the bible studies at their church. Before he passed over, he asked her to continue on that work in their church. May GOD grant her and their family peace & comfort at this time; and strength to continue that good work as well. Murray was such a nice, gentle man; and I know he is rejoicing in perfect health in heaven above ... :) |
Saw my oncologist yesterday , he has changed my meds hoping to change my side effects, hope he is right. He has also ordered a Cat scan to see if Cancer has spread, it has already spread twice, my prayer is that it has not spread further, Thank you Saints for all your prayers.

BARGOO -- yes, sending up prayers that your new meds will work even better than the others, and with less side effects; plus prayers for peace and comfort and strength as well.
We went to BIL's church today and met some of my prayers warriors there (from their prayer chain group who have been praying for us diligently). I was glad to finally meet them and was able to thank their new pastor for all their prayers too. THANKS & PRAISE GOD -- that my DAD is doing well and feeling good. He tooks his steroids and gravol pills, and that helped him keep his weight up and he has good strength right now. May that continue for him all the way through up to his surgery and during recovery as well. |
