:welcome3: MS PERCEPTION ~ to our group of Encouragers; we will add your request to our list of prayers. We have had others who need to sell their homes, like KAREN & LORI, and I still pray for them to this day, as we know how hard it is when the economy is so bad and people are losing their jobs in droves ... but indeed, our GOD can move mountains, so selling a house is a cinch! ;)

Some people have to sell their houses, but we are suggesting that some rent their homes for awhile through their realtors who are very experienced and fussy whom they would allow to rent them, esp if they are really stuck and must move on.

THE RIGHT WEIGH ~ thanks for dropping by; I think that's a good idea to suggest to LORI to try and find a good church to attend, as she and her family could get lots of support and help, and make new friends in a caring Christian community.

BEV ~ have added Mr. Manning to my HEALTH Prayer List; he is in the Lord's hands ...

 HELLO TO EVERYONE ELSE and to all our MIA's out there. HAVE A THANKFUL THURSDAY everyone ~ we are so blessed on this continent!!! ^^PRAYERS^^ continue for all concerns ... :hug:ROSEBUD:hug:

Thanks for all the welcomes! So, here's my situation: My DH got a new job closer to where our parents are (4 hours away). We were excited and all, but our house didn't sell right away (no big shock), so my DH moved in with his parents who just built a big new house (a wonderful blessings in our situation). They live about 30 min from his new work. The kids and I have stayed in our house so we didn't intrude on the in-laws too much. We take turns going back and forth for visits, but after 8 months it's gotten to be more than we care to deal with, so the kids and I are moving in with the in-laws/parents too. They invited us repeatedly to do so, so it's been a long time coming. We were just hoping the house would sell and we wouldn't have to intrude on their space, but the kids miss their daddy and I miss my honey, so it's time.
Throughout all this God has given us peace, joy, and patience and we continue to trust in His faithfulness. I have no doubts about His ability to sell our house for the price we need in His timing. I just want as many people as possible praying for the house to sell so we can make a new home over by DH's new job location. I appreciate all you prayers!!

Hi all - hope your day went well!
Not much new here - still trying to get caught up. Church meetings went well last night, and my meeting with the pastor was fruitful. I think we can turn around some of the tension we have going on at the moment - and I thank everyone that has prayed for the situation over the last few months.

I am continuing to keep all of you in my prayers! Grace and peace to each of you on this spring (almost) evening!

EZMONEY 03-05-2009 07:04 PM

I bought new nike's today...my other ones are a year old and i figured an extra pair would be beneficial as i phase out the old. i walked for 50 minutes today!!!! :)

Praying for my brother to make a move. I gave him the info on that ministry in alabama...please pray for God's favor. He needs something.

Mom is good today. happy and that is good.

Well, that's about all!!!!

bargoo 03-05-2009 11:27 PM

Ms Perception , praying that someone is looking for a house and will buy yours.

Ms Perception 03-06-2009 12:15 AM

Thanks everyone! We got 2 calls today for showings. We get those fairly regularly, but it only takes one buyer to make it happen!

To all those with needs, I am praying for you. I'll have to start keeping a notebook to keep specific track of each individual request. In the meantime, I'll do a prayer covering over everyone on this thread! Who couldn't use another voice crying out to God on their behalf, right?

ronni62 03-06-2009 12:04 PM

Hello to you all! Sorry I've not been posting, but I want you all to know I've been reading your posts and praying for all of the needs. Also, :welcome2: to our newbies! It's great to have you here!

It's been a tough week and I've been feeling very down and hopeless for our situation, so, of course, I just tried to become a hermit. I have been able to stay on plan, though, and finally made it to "onederland" today! :woohoo: That means I'm now over half-way to my goal! Next mini-goal is to weigh less than DH which is about 195, I think.

Hoping and praying that you all have a great day and weekend. God knows all our wants and needs and He does provide according to His will, which is so much better than we could ever imagine. We just have to keep our focus on what's most important and praise Him for all we are given. to you all!

CountingDown 03-06-2009 06:20 PM

Just a quick post tonight! I read everyone's prayer requests and prayers are ascending. Hope you have a blessed evening and a GREAT start to the weekend!

Laurie

CountingDown 03-07-2009 09:29 AM

Ronni :congrat: on ONEDERLAND! AWESOME job girl! I so understand that mini-goal. Weighing less than DH was one of mine too. And I seem to remember weighing less than GARY was one too ;) Passing that half-way point is a GREAT accomplishment! I'm so proud of you!

Continued prayers going up for everyone's housing and employment situations. So much hurt and helplessness right now. I feel blessed beyond measure that our jobs are stable and relatively secure. But, DS2 has pretty much given up even looking for a job right now. It is very bleak here in northern MI. I guess I realized how bad it was when Dairy Queen had over 300 people standing in a line over 4 blocks long so that they could appy for the entry level positions that were open (only 5 positions). Many, many adults that are currently unemployed were in the line.

On a happier note, I hope you all have a balanced weekend planned with some fun included!

Today' is MIL's birthday, so we are taking her out to lunch and then to "The Mousetrap" (Agatha Christie play) put on by our local thespians. It should be a fun afternoon :D

Blessings to all!

Laurie

:bravo: RONNI ~ good for you for reaching 'ONEDERLAND' ... :dancer: that will make this week seem so much better; prayers for you and your family too!

We're having really warm temps here the last few days, with the sun just peaking out every now and then, but we'll take. We had more wet snow at the end of the week, but tomorrow the cold temps are supposed to be returning; maybe the :sunny: will return with it?

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE!!! ^^PRAYERS^^ continue for you and yours (esp for health issues and employment) ... :hug:ROSEBUD:hug:

Hi Gals ~

I have been peeking in but have had limited posting time...now maybe if I paid more attention way back in 9th grade typing class to "typing" instead of thinking about that cute 8th grader Michelle Taylor with that pretty smile :) ... She did come my house and sat on my motorcycle a few times....she did...I was so in

Speaking of being in  My dear wife has loaded the i-pod her and the kids got me for my birthday :carrot: I am listening to Tom Petty right now...I can't believe she forgot ;) to load all my Neil Diamond...something about how many times do you need to hear Solitary Man! Man I love my wife!

I even had her load a lot of her yoga music on there. She had some American Indian flute music playing the other night in the bedroom as I went to sleep...awesome.

I am so busy at work right now...that is the good part. So many folks out of work right now....that is the sad part. I know my day is coming, just trying to save a little bit more each week. Of course the jobs I am on could just pull the plug anytime...kind of wondering why they haven't already really. We have had a few dealerships "stop" before we started but we have 2 real big projects, a Lexus and a Mercedes dealership, that are still going as schedule :crossed: I start a Honda dealership tomorrow, a decent size job, should keep me and my drywall guys going for close to a month.

I also am going to help out my wife's yoga instructor on a house she just bought, it needs a lot of help. Angie's yoga ladies were over on Thursday for dinner and a movie...she locked me in my room ;)...left me in there with 4 beers and a large pepperoni pizza :jeno:....not a pretty sight

Angie's brother and his wife are coming down tonight for dinner. They are off to Borrego/Anza desert to see the pretty wild flowers tomorrow. We would probably go 'cept Angie has bells at church for early service.

I have been thinking a lot lately about time ~ talents ~ money....I had to take a break from the "time" a few years ago...Angie and I were just over loaeded....with all my time out of town it was difficult and not healthy really. So many meetings, chairman of the Board of Christian Life and on the Board of Directors. Plus I was involved in a very intensive Bible study, a 2 year program...needed a break...HOWEVER...I think it is time to get back into things where my "talent" would serve our church...oh...don't get me wrong...when there is drywall to do I am there!....but, Angie and I have a knack for some of the social things....dinners....whale watching trips...pizza bowling nights...etc...Since we left that group it has been lacking. Not so much because of the people but because I think people have gotten away from church first for their activities....not that that is such a bad thing...but I think there is a need for it for those that do need it. Pray for me on this one ladies  It's hard with all my days/nights out of town...plus these 2-3am wake up calls stink! :D....ha! just looked up at the digital clock....3:16 :) the big guy sneaks those little things in doesn't HE!!

Dogs barking at the door...Angie trying to nap...be back....

Rayne 03-07-2009 06:48 PM

Gary -praying for you. I think the 316 thing is funny...my first apartment after I had broken up with my college sweetheart was 316. Of course, the first time it was pointed out to me was when I was standing there looking at the door with a guy named John...

Speaking of the guy named John, he and I dated after that for 5 years...I thought he was the one. Turns out that he has/had some major anger issues and addictions. We broke up last year after he asked me to marry him only to tell me 24 hours later that he "was just joking"...kinda lost my temper on that one and slapped him better than any pimp ever has in a movie! :)
Anyway, he and I still speak...he thinks I am his best friend (which i told him if that is how he treats best friends, i would hate to be his enemy!). He had recently gotten involved with another addict (mainly alcohol) and that was crazy...just pray for him. He won't go away...he's a sweet guy, just needs to get over his issues and submit his life to Christ.

I took all the guts out of the doors on the mustang today! :) It was awesome!! Now, I'm watching the first Bourne movie...I need to own these, they ROCK!

The guy from the stroke...Rudy, died Thursday night. He was still weeks away from being 40. His blood pressure was 200+/150+ i don't remember the exact numbers...just that it was high 200 and high 100...

I guess that is all I have today. Keep Him first, He loves YOU so much!

Peace!

:coach: BTW, don't forget to PUT YOUR CLOCKS >>> AHEAD >>> TONIGHT ... esp for all the Canadians out there!!!

I don't know if Americans change their clocks in the spring and fall, but this year, we are putting them ahead early, and I think that's a great idea as it gives us more daylight; and it's supposed to officially be spring soon, but if you saw all the snow we have left out there, you'd laugh about that!

See below -- that's DH clearing the clumps that have been falling down the hill. That's the view from our back porch; and we've had a few snows since that pic was taken!

GARY ~ prayers going up for you concerning helping out with the 'social night' at your church; sounds like a super idea really!

LAURIE ~ here's a new picture of our cute boy.

Have a good night, friends ...
