Great idea, Dee... and hey if we are going to go around the US technically we have to include Key West. My friend in Fort Lauderdale said she would feed us all healthy food when we get there. I will convince her to come into the forum and share when we are there.
It is going to be kind of hard to track the miles... how far it is around... we will have to do it in segments... first Seattle to San Diego...???
Had an OK day yesterday. Did 2 fitness miles (had planned on more....) and ate pretty well. Mom's taxi service is in full swing: Softball, basketball, and today the dentist and grocery store.
Ok, my last report will be tomorrow for the miles I get today. I'm off to visit family for a week and won't be back on until maybe next friday. Keep up the good work everyone! I'll catch up to you soon
So.. this morning I walked a bit, and this evening I just got that urge to at least go around the block a bit. As luck would have it, I ran into my neighbors just after completing my first trip around the block, and walked a while with them.. they want to start walking whenever we can, and when I get my feet and the neighbor's DH gets his knees in better shape, we're gonna start running! Yay for exercise partners. So... here we go for today...
Glad everyone is doing so well with your walking. Yay! I have a new walking partner too, during my lunch hour. One woman said she wants to commit to going with someone who really does it so picked me... so she will do it and not make excuses. We've been walking together the last week or so.
Had a GREAT day yesterday! I did a total of 4 fitness miles! Unfortunately, DH decided that the family "needed" to go to Leon's and get ice cream. In the summer, we usually go once a week. I just need to find a "better" choice when I go. I've been getting their version of DQ's Blizzard with heath pieces mixed in mine. I KNOW there must be better choices than that, but it's SO DARN GOOD! HELP!!!
Anyway.....it warmed back up after 48 hours without the AC, so I will be walking inside again.
Wow I also did about an hour or so of water aerobics tonight. That is sure a great way to unwind a bit after work! And I do feel it is helping with the toning and stuff!
