Just popping in for a minute to say HI. It's 9:30 here and I've already been to buy groceries and have a turkey breast in the oven baking. Thought that I would have sandwiches in between the shower and the party. Don't know how many will be stopping in so I wanted to be prepared with something.

Have a Happy Easter.

mooz49 03-30-2002 01:43 PM

Hi all.
Just taking a wee break from the housework to call in and say hello.
The rain has just started and I think the forecast for tomorrow is rain.
:(
I have been keeping very busy today but I have also eaten some 'forbidden foods' :o so I hope the two balance out and I do not put on any weight. ;)
We are having turkey tomorrow also.
Must rush off now and do a bit more.
Will call when I can.
Happy Easter to you all.

Good Evening Ladies
I'm finally finding time to log on. It's been a busy day. Yesterday I was off and did most of my cleaning. We had terrible storms last night & today it's rained most of the day. I went over to my mother's & took her to "Bingo" , nope I didn't win anything, but had fun with her. Tomorrow i'm bringing a "Honey Baked Ham" to my mom's. I haven't had a chance to exercise this weekend at all.
Anne - I know the holidays are the hardest trying to stay away from the "forbidden foods", but as they say in Ww there are no forbidden foods, you just have to learn to eat in moderation. That's my problems:D , I just can't seem to get that.
We'll I hope everyone has a Happy Easter.

mooz49 04-01-2002 06:20 AM

Good morning Patty, Semo, Lauri, Jen and Barb.
The weather report from Ireland today in dull but fresh and mainly dry.
Hope you all had a lovely easter and didn't go overboard on the eating. :nono:
I ate a whole easter egg :o and it had (whisper - cause I don't want Patty to hear) 14 WW points !! but I had been doing a lot of walking all week and I felt I had earned it. This morning I am back on track again and feeling in control which is the best feeling of all. I have already been for a 2 mile walk.
:smug:
I haven't done any Tae Bo for about a week now as there is always someone in the house and I need to have no-one about when I do it.
Gotta go now and hope to call later if I can get near the computer as there is always a big demand for it when the kids are home.

Good Morning All
We'll I somewhat blew it yesterday. I came prepared to my mom's house by bringing some veggies to nibble on while I was there. We'll instead of the carrots, I nibbled on the chips & dips, then of course had some dessert. Luckily we ate early in the day, so last night I was still full & skipped dinner. Anyway this week i'm going to focus on NOT eating out at lunch.

Anne - I heard that... what kind of egg has 14 points? I'm proud that you even looked it up. I ate some candy, but didn't even look up the points, cause I knew I was going to eat it anyway.

We'll I need tu run. Talk to you all later...

SEMO 04-01-2002 11:18 AM

Happy April Fools Day, do we have any pranksters amoung us? I'm some what mischievous, but you have probably figured that out already.
The shower and cocktail party was a blast!! We had so much fun. I prepared a nice lunch for Easter Suday. OVER ATE big time but will get back on the wagon. Girls, I really wish you would stop pushing me off. ;)
We're having a customer appreciation lunch here today. Bar-B-Q! Expecting over a hundred. Better run, back later.

Jehari 04-01-2002 04:19 PM

Here I am again!!

I just feel like a chicken with it's head cut off! I have been just SOOO busy!! I have another busy day tomorrow, and then after that, things should calm down for a little while...I think.

I have only exercised 2 days in the last 2 weeks. When my back went out I really missed it. I did my aerobics video a few days ago and could only get through 15 minutes!! Amazing how much endurance a person loses so quickly!! So now I am back at the point where I have to begrudgingly force myself to do it until it becomes a habit again. I really like to get it over with first thing in the morning, but my days just haven't been allowing it. I'm going to do SOME form of exercise today by golly. I will make some time this evening. I've gotta get back on track!!

Anyhoo, just wanted to pop in and say HI. Hopefully I'll be able to come in here and catch up with everyone in a day or two.
Talk at ya later,
jen

Hello Mooz49 and everyone else.

Mooz I sent you an answer to your PM. I hope it helps. Let me know if there is more I can do.

Sounds like you ladies are doing some good work in here.

Keep it up.

Hi Patty good to see you too.

Have a good day ladies and as always make the most of it :)

Good morning Semo, Jen, Patty, Lauri, Barb (where are you?) and a big welcome to Tazmani  I came across Taz's posts in another thread and they are so colourful and inspirational and she is an excellent butt kicker (which we all need to keep us going) :nono:

Taz - thank you for replying to my query about how to put the pictures in the reply. I will try it sometime when I have more time. You would be most welcome to post here even if you do not do Tae Bo as we all do many other forms of exercise and we all motivate each other to do some kind every day. I see you are on the Atkins Plan. Have you been on it long and how do you find it?
My friend's hubby is thinking about trying it and I am just curious.

It is a sunny morning here in Ireland and I am in control. This is weigh-in night at WW and after the weekend I will be happy not to have put on any weight :o
I did 3 two mile walks yesterday and hope to do at least 4 miles today :strong:

Patty - The egg with 14 points was a Cadburys Caramel egg which had two Caramel bars with it.:o

Well gotta rush off now and get a shower and start the day.

Good Morning All. It's 4:00 AM here and I'm having one of those "Can't Sleep Nights" If I didn't fall asleep at 8:30pm on the sofa I probably wouldn't do this. Anyway I've been up for an hour and a half already.
We had about 70 customers show up yesterday plus our employees for lunch. Everyone enjoyed themselves and the food was very good.
The kids had a great shower, there were a lot of people that didn't come, but sent gifts, because they had family in for Easter, There were a good number that attended and that always makes you feel good that they would take the time out of a busy weekend. DH and I were kind of dreading the party but it turned out to be a very fun night. We didn't get home until about one.
Well I think that I'm going to go blow the dust off one of my tapes and get some exercise. Talk to ya later.

Well girls I went to WW and I stayed the same so I am not too disappointed as I knew I had a bad weekend. :o
I am determined to be in control this week as I feel so much better when I am.
I went for a 2 mile walk this morning and I am going for another now with a friend so I will call tomorrow morning and I hope to see more posts by then.

Hello ladies!

Well, I guess I'm back on the wagon. I did my 30 minute Crunch Boot Camp tape today. Oh my goodness, I had that feeling that my muscles had turned to mush again. Then I took a spur of the moment 20 minute walk with the kids tonight to try to wear them out a bit. So I am REMOTIVATED to keep it going.

How is everyone else doing??

I'll be back tomorrow, talk at ya then,

Just popped in to say hey!!! Welcome Taz!
I have been working my *a* off so I have been too exhausted to get on here when I get home. On the computer typing all day, don't want to look at it at night LOL!!!!!
I think I told you all that my office is getting a new computer system so we (meaning me and one other co-worker) are entering the patient demographics and insurance info. My fingers are getting way skinnier!~
Gotta run!! You all have a good day!!

SEMO 04-03-2002 10:08 AM

Good Morning Ladies, and happy Wednesday (hump day)

Mooz, what cool graphics. I have so totally fallen off the wagon! I told my hubby this morning that as soon as I get home I'm exercising and he will just have to wait on the tv if I'm not done by the time he gets home. I had every intention of doing some exercise this am but overslept (something that I rarely do).

Lauri, there wasn't any way to down load your info into the new system? I don't know who these people are that come up with the "new plans" but they never seem to be the people that end up doing all the work.

Patty, has your medicine helped? I'm not much of a pill taker but I've been very good taking all my vitamins lately and can tell the difference in the way I feel.

Jen, how are things with you? I need to follow your lead on getting back on track. I need some boodie kicking!

Barb, where are you?

Gotta run, have a great on program day!

1day@atime 04-03-2002 01:07 PM

Good Afternoon Ladies
It's been a busy week. Sunday I ate way to much, & I just can't seem to get control. Today I had brought my WW meal & someone in the office had a lunch meeting, we'll of course there was some left over & I went over & got a plate. It was beef & chicken fajitas, but of course I had to have the chips, hot sauce, avacado dip, & Cobbler.... Now i'm stuffed. Why do I do this?

Semo - the meds are helping some. I wish they had side effects of not eating :D

Anne - Neat graphics.

Lauri - I can relate to the work. Sometimes I feel like i'm the only one here who does work

Jen - Glad your back. It's so easy to fall off the wagon, & yet so hard to get back on.

We'll I need to run, hope everyone is having a great day.
I plan to walk 3 miles tonight on the treadmill. I have got to get back on point....

mooz49 04-03-2002 02:13 PM

Hi just calling in before I go linedancing.
I did'nt get for my second walk today so I really need to do a lot of dancing.;)
Will call in the morning.

Jehari 04-03-2002 05:20 PM

Hey girls!!

Well, so far so good today. I did a 30 minute combo of aerobics and toning. I find myself not eating enough calories again. I swear. I wish I could just find a happy medium. It's like all or nothing with me. Either I'm starving and compulsively eating everything, or I don't eat anything. I get to where I am not really hungry and am afraid to make myself eat, cuz once I get that food in my mouth, I lose control again. I have been at 1,000 calories the past two days, and am feeling it. I was SO tired today, I could hardly move. I am shooting for 1,400 to 1,500 today. Hopefully I won't lose it and go way over.

Anne: I'll bet line dancing is quite a workout, and probably more fun than doing a video tape in the living room. Have fun!! :D

SEMO & 1Day: Damn that wagon! Not only do I keep falling off, it comes back to run me over a few times!! All we can do is hang on for dear life!!

Lauri: I think we all know how you feel. After a hectic day, all ya want to do is sit still and let your mind turn to mush. Don't forget about us though. Come back in and tell us how it's going.

Hello to you Barb, wherever you are!!

And a hello to you too Taz!

Guess that's about it for now. Talk at ya later,
Jen

mooz49 04-04-2002 03:05 AM

Good morning girls.
Just a quick call again. It's a beautiful morning here today.;)
We had a little Easter party at the linedancing last night and I had a few little nibbles but I hope I danced them off! :o
Isn't it so easy to fall off the wagon but I think the secret is to just get right back on it and keep going and it is a struggle but we do want to get fitter and healthier and look so good and that is why we are here.
:strong:
Are any of you near your own personal target weight and I mean a realistic weight not a model's weight? :(
Do you see the way Taz puts her starting weight, her weight now and her target weight at the bottom of her posts - do any of you think that would help to motivate us? Maybe it is worth a try.
What do you all think?
One thing I do know is that I seem to be able to keep ic control much better since I started 'talkin' to you gals:D so thanks for that.
Will call later.

Thanks for the encouragement re: work. I swear, I have never known people could be so lazy!!!
The new computer program we are getting is windows based
(praise the lord) we are replacing and old dinosaur DOS program so we can't just download. (However, I am not complaining about the OT I'm getting LOL)
I may start going for a walk and lunch, since I am too pooped to exercise when I get home. I am managing to maintain my weight though. Guess I am too tired to eat even! ROFL!!!
I need to go get ready for work, so I will see you lovely ladies in the AM!!!

Top of the Morning to ya! I'm pretty full of myself this morning. I did one hour on the orbitreck and about 20 minutes of yoga last night. Tonight will be weights, this should be good, lol since I know nothing about doing it, but there are weights laying around somewhere in the boys rooms I'm sure.
Okay here are my stats, 195/160/145. Going to have to get off my bootie, could have been at goal way before now if I had stayed on program. Ugh. I did sign up for a challenge on www.self.com it started a while back but thought that I would give it a try. That's where doing the weights are coming from. :dizzy:
Work is getting busy, so I'll have less fun time on the computer, but like you Lauri, I can use the overtime money.
Later.

Just sharing something with you that Taz posted on another thread. Hope you like it as I did.

Dance in the light

You are alive and living, so act like it. Make things happen, learn, love, explore and experience. When a problem comes along, solve it. When an opportunity appears, jump right into it. When conditions change, adapt. When you encounter beauty, enjoy it. When you run into hardship, survive it. Indeed, these things are what life is all about.
Fill every moment of today with positive, purposeful living. When the challenges come, take them in stride and use your considerable resources to move on past them. When the joyful moments arrive, savor them with all your being and the joys you experience will last a lifetime. When you encounter sadness, keep in mind how very much you truly care.
Don't hide in the dark. Dance in the light! Say what you think. Follow the dreams that define who you are. Let the world know you are here. Feel the wind in your face. Let true joy infect your heart.
Today is a day for being fully alive. Why in the world would you want to spend it any other way? Get up, get out and get busy filling this day with a richness of living that is your very own.

Jehari 04-04-2002 01:56 PM

Hello ladies!

Well, I did my 30 minutes of Crunch Boot Camp again today. I'm kinda bummed. I guess I'm having a "fat" day. Some days you wake up and feel like you're making progress and looking good, and the next day you wake up and look in the mirror and say "Ew, gross", even though realistically, you know you look exactly the same as you did the day before. At least i do.

Mooz: Sure. Posting stats sounds like a good idea. It's encouraging to see other peoples progress as well as your own. (hopefully :^: )

Looks like I'm the heavyweight in this group. Here's mine, having started February of last year. My highest weight was actually more than my start weight. I'm using my start weight here, cuz I don't really know my highest weight. Once I saw 249 on the scale, I wouldn't get on it again for over a year.

242/186/145

I've been hovering in the 185-190 range for more than 6 months, and am starting to get discouraged again. I REALLY need to see something in the 170's soon, or drop a pants size, or SOMETHING! I guess all I can do is keep going. As somebody said on one of the other threads I post on.... losing slowly is better than gaining at any speed. I weigh in tomorrow, and don't have high hopes for a loss since last weekend was so bad, but think I'll probably get away with a maintain. I'm gonna kick it in to high gear cuz I want a loss next week dang it!!

Anyhoo, hope everyone else is doing well. Talk at ya later,
Jen

1day@atime 04-04-2002 07:49 PM

Good Evening Ladies

I'm too depressed to post my stats but i'll do it... 173..171..150..
In the 4 months that I have been on Ww I have only lost 2 lbs. I know the problem, I'm on Ww, but I don't work the program. I'll do good for a few day, then i'll binge..I'm not journaling, or drinking my water. I have got to get on the program. Like someone said summer is just around the corner and I can't wear any of my shorts from last year. I have gained 18 lbs since Jan. 2001..

Jen - Way to Go on exercising even when you didn't feel like it. Keep that up and the pounds will soon come off...

Semo - I use to get Overtime, but since i've come downtown, i'm exempt,, but still working over.

we'll I need to run, talk to you tomorrow

mooz49 04-05-2002 01:50 AM

Good morning girls.
The sun is shining and it is coming to the weekend and we have to be in control. :strong:

Patty - don't be depressed about posting your stats as I am exactly the same as you so I shall do a wee blush here :o
I have only lost 6 pounds since I started WW and it is because of exactly the same reasons that you stated!

Semo, Lauri and Jen you girls have done brilliantly and really none of us have an awful lot to lose to reach to target weight.
Jen - you have the most but you have already lost 56 pounds
:D so we can all get past this last hurdle.

Life is too short to be feeling miserable and overweight and depressed because we don't look and feel good in our clothes.
So what do you say that from today on we make that extra effort to beat this once and for all.;) We have 12 weeks until July so lets go for it.

Talk to you all later.
Anne

Point of view
Will you end up achieving what you set out to achieve? It all depends on your point of view.
You can view fear as a reason to stop, and allow that fear to hold you back. Or you can see fear as a preparation for moving ahead, learn from what it has to teach, and go confidently forward.
You can view each challenge as an excuse for failure, and fill your life with regrets. Or you can see each challenge as a pathway to success, and fill your life with achievement.
You can look for who is to blame when things go wrong, and fill your thoughts with resentment. Or you can look for ways to make things right, and fill your moments with positive, effective action.
Success, achievement, happiness and fulfillment all depend not so much on what's there, but rather on how you choose to view it and use it. You can choose to see the world in a way that will defeat you, or you can view it in a way that will empower you.
What's your point of view? See the positive side of each situation, and you'll find yourself living on the positive side of life.

Happy Friday Ladies! I did 20 minutes of weights last night then basic taebo this morning. Gosh my arms feel like mush, what a whimp am I! LOL

Okay girls, it seems we have some down in the dumps going on around here and part of our daily exercise is to LIFT THE CORNERS OF THE MOUTH INTO A SMILE! I read/heard somewhere that 90% of weight loss is between the ears. We just have to get in the right mind set. So how about a little challenge to get us throught the weekend..... This is for today, Saturday and Sunday. Place your hand on the screen and repeat.... I will drink a min of 64 oz of water, I will make the best choices possible at each meal, and I will exercise in some fashion or form for a min of 20 minutes each day. Okay who's in? Oh and take your vitamins, I've been remembering to take mine for about a month and I can sure tell the difference.

Love you guys!

mooz49 04-05-2002 10:56 AM

Woops my picture didn't come out right!

Hi girls.
Semo I am up for the challenge and if it helps me get through the weekend then it will have served its purpose. It is nearly 5pm
here so most of Friday is over for me but I have actually done well so far.
Will call later.

The weather is starting to get nice here, today is the our opener first home game (baseball) & believe it or not, I"m not looking forward to going. I don't want to be seen in shorts, & I just love our Texas Rangers... so I have to get in shape...

we'll I need to run... I'm at work, I"ve already drank 32 oz...

Hello!!

I must be getting old or something  . A couple of weeks ago it was my back, and this morning my knee is tweaked. It's not bad though, so it should be OK by tomorrow. I just did some sit-ups, push-ups, and some curls with my weights. Not much of a work out, but it's something. If my knee is OK later, I'll probably pop in one of my videos. I'm on a roll again and I don't want to blow it.

Had my weigh in today. IT'S A MIRACLE!! My new stats:

242/184/145

WHEW!! I really needed to see that. I feel like all the work is paying off, so I can stay motivated.

As for SEMO's challange, I can only swear to 20 minutes AT LEAST 5 days a week. I usually go six, but some days are just TOO hectic to fit it in.

I'll pop in later. My son will be home any minute, and I told him I'd have his new game installed on the computer when he gets home.

mooz49 04-06-2002 04:51 AM

Good morning ladies

It is a lovely morning here in Ireland and I WILL stay in control this weekend.

Jen - Well done on the weight loss - just think if we could all lose 1 or 2 pounds every week we would all be at least a stone lighter by the summer. Now isn't that a lovely thought. We WILL do it.:smug:

Semo - thanks for the challenge for the weekend - it is just what we all need as, at least for me anyway, the weekends are where I stumble and it will be interesting to see if it makes any difference to the weight-in on Tuesday night. I will go buy some multi-vitamins today.

Patty - you WILL look good in those shorts.

Lauri - Hope you are keeping well. You must be so fed up looking at computers by the time you get home after doing all that overtime.

[COLOR=purple][SIZE=4]The way to get what you want is to be very clear and confident about exactly what it is. When you have a vague idea about what you'd maybe like to accomplish, then the best you can hope for is to maybe move in the same general direction that you sort of think you want to go. What good is that? Not much. Instead of being tentative and vague, be confident and clear.
It is amazing how much power and strength you can give to your efforts just by making it clear what results you intend to accomplish. You can literally feel that power the moment you confidently and positively state your intentions.
So go ahead and do it. State your intentions and feel the power. "I will sign up five new customers this week." "I will clean out the filing cabinet." "I will get a managerial position in the advertising industry." Stay away from "I'll try" or "I might" or "I'd like to." Those are far too conditional.
Challenge yourself to achieve the best you can imagine. Say "I will." Say it and mean it. Then get up, feel the power, and make it happen. You deserve the best and you're fully capable of it when you state your intentions with clarity and confidence.
-- Ralph Marston

good morning ladies!!! mooz, you are killing me!!! (this means making me laugh my head off LOL!) I love your pictures and everything!
I am working a little bit today. I love after hours and weekends because the phones are not ringing and it's quiet. (I'm a receptionist at a ob-gyn practice with 8 providers, for those who don't know)
Anywho, it's supposed to be about 70 degrees out today, so I will not be there too long today! Gotta ride my bike ya know!!!
I have not been good at all with exercising during the week due to my insane hours lately. :o
This is my PMS week so I do not weigh at this time. (do you blame me? LOL)
You all have a good day, and I will write later or Sunday morning!

Good Morning All. Just popping in for a second. I'm working today and it's hectic. The weather is beautiful here and I hope the rain will hold off for awhile.
Very upset this morning. I installed a new printer (the big type that holds 4 different types of paper) on Wednesday afternoon and on Thursday the darn thing quit. I have been on the phone with the company that makes it and our Corp office with no results. The bad part is that I still have my old printer and they will not let me re-install it. (It involves network to the corp office) So I'm entering invoices in the blind. Once we get a new printer I'll be runing paperwork forever.
Mooz, your posting is right on the mark. I Will...I will...I will.

But for now, I will get back to work. Have a great day.
