Janaya- Glad she is better.. I normally take a day or so off.
Fish- Just keep on working..
Monday I did 50 minutes of treadmill. My husband hide my scale from me so I haven't weighed but I"m sure I haven't lost anything not exercising as I should the last 3 weeks...

Eating regularly keeps your metabolism burning calories and fat. Do you not eat breakfast, snacks, lunch?? When you are eating your calories in one meal you are ravenous and will eat everything in sight. PLUS your body will keep those calories to hoard because your body thinks you are going to starve it again for another 20 hours....
Ilene, trust me, I know that is part of the problem. Unfortunately, sometimes I get so busy at work (i.e., yesterday) that I literally do not have 5 minutes to eat something. Between phone calls and meetings yesterday, it took me almost 40 minutes to even be able to drink a can of v-8.

Today I was able to eat b'fast and lunch (total of about 600 calories) and i plan to eat no more than about 600 for dinner tonight. I should have gotten a snack in today as well, but i didn't eat lunch until 3 - so now i am not really hungry. I will probably get to have dinner around 8 if nothing comes up at work.

Hi Honeys, I'm home!
Since last Wed I've gone for two walks. Ate too much, drank too much ... But I only gained 4 lbs.
I've got enough laundry and housework to do that I shouldn't have any trouble working it off.
I'm posting hello first and then I'm going to read and see what everyone's been up to this week.

Yesterday I did 45 minutes on my home elliptical.

Ilene - you will be pleased to know that in addition to eating a sensible dinner last night (about 550 calories total), i have already eaten both b'fast and a snack today. I am getting ready to go to the gym, and will eat salmon and snow peas when I get back.

Okey-dokey, I did 45 minutes on the gym's elliptical this afternoon.

Hi Susan!

My "exercise" last night was moving furniture so we could have our carpets cleaned today. It was definitely a exercise. And to think I'll get to do the same again when the carpets are dry!

Dizzi-
if your pulse is over 300 and you are feeling strange please STOP whatever you are doing and sit down untill your pulse gets back to normal.

Did you ask a medical professional about this?

So I went to the gym yesterday. My goal for October is to go three times a week. I know I can do this, it is just a matter of forcing myself to go. I fight with myself daily to go there, but once I actually get there and begin my work out I feel so good and don't understand why I had to physically force myself to go. I guess thats what happens when you get into a lazy routine for so many years...lol

Today i lifted weights for 20 minutes, did 5 agonizingly long minutes of abs, and then finished up with 25 minutes on the elliptical.

Dizzi - if your heart rate is that high and you are dizzy you should seek medical attention. That is how our heart cries out for help....

I am still coughing up a lung, so to speak, so I am just doing what I can. Today, I added a few flights of stairs but was I ever winded (completely unnatural for me), so I am just slow moving until I feel better. Glad to see everyone being active!!
