Default Anyone want to do a 250 hours of exercise in 2012?

That works out to exercising for an hour a day 5 times a week for 50 weeks of the year?

I would join the walk/bike/run challenge, but I would prefer to count hours at or instead of miles covered. Especially since I do strength training and step workouts and spinning which don't count miles/steps.

Well, there's a couple of us anyway and maybe morer will join in if they see we are active.

I'm off to a slow start as its January 3rd and I haven't exercised yet! Party on the 1st (plus really sore from a workout) and the 2nd I spent all day with my mentee, so today is the day I start.

I am doing a one hour spinning class this evening and tomorrow I'm signed up for a BodyStep class.

Oh goodness me, not both in one day! I'm doing the spinning in about an hour and tomorrow morning the step class. I did a step class last Friday and was in pain for two days as I had stopped going for a month. Wow-wee! Butt and calves were screaming at me!

Good for you getting yours in!

Oh that makes more sense ....

I miss doing classes but have switched to a gym only 24 hour place as I couldn't make the classes at the other gym when I went back to work full-time ... I loved bodystep and bodypump ...

I think 250 hours is a realistic goal for me ....

I'm on summer break from teaching at the moment so it is easy to fit it in ... so hoping to get a few hours ahead in January ...

I find winter is always the bad time for me .... so that's when I'll need the extra motivation !!!

HMM3~ Wow your moving... I decided to count the time I walk up and down stairs(7-8 times minimum just at work and at least 2 times at home) and walk to my car its up hill one way and takes me awhile since I park as far from the building as possible on purpose... All together it adds up to about 15 minutes of moving a day.

I also went to the grocery store ( walmart superstore ) and speed walk for 2 hours ... Look out woman with a cart on a mission clear the isles ... bwahaha.. I am going to only count it as 1 hour though.

So that makes 1.25 hours of moving and grooving today

My back is spasming today I think I slept wrong last night or something so no traditional exercising tonight.

I'm in.... normally track mine by minutes though. My initial goal was 240 hours but what's 10 more hours right?

Today was my first day of exercise for the year and I did 5 mins on the elliptical to warm up and 60 mins of a Power Aerobics class. It was a bit rough but I made it through.

Total for today - 65 mins

170 mins + 45 mins today = 215 mins

I walked a hill climb on the treadmill and a few jogs in the valleys to get the heartrate up a bit ....

Does anyone know how I can get the two tickers side by side?

I'll join! I'm doing the running challenge as well, but I'll log hours of all exercise here with you.

Here's to a fit and healthy 2012 for all of us!

I'd like to join! I really like the idea of counting the time because I also do various forms of cardio and weight training.
Today: 90 minutes Stairmaster, 30 minutes weights: deadlifts, split squats
