I've only managed 45 minutes of walking in the last three days. But, I knew I was going to be way off plan this weekend, so that's OK!

END OF WEEK TOTAL = 295 minutes / 4 hours 55 minutes

My aim for next week is 405 minutes, with no days of nothing. Bring it on!

Well done to everyone who's adding minutes, we're doing great! Next week I really want to mix it up. I have my first spinning class on Thursday, hoping to go to aqua dance on Tuesday, regular swimming and a workout DVD tomorrow. Then who knows the rest of the week. It's a whole new concept to me that working out can be fun, but I'm loving realising it!

By Sunday 22nd I pledge to have reached 700 minutes in total...... here goes!

Excited to join!

Goal: 250 hours
Complete: 3.5 hours

Wow! Lots of new faces and all the merrier! It is still totally doable!

Today is a planned day off (I am a director of a secular Sunday school and it takes a huge chunk of my time and energy on this day).

Plan for this week is:

Monday - spinning
Tuesday - yoga
Wednesday express step and express strength training (1.5 hours total)
Thursday - yoga
Friday - step
Saturday - strength training.

I am thinking of switching out the Thrusday yoga though for a class a friend recommended. It's a ball room dance cardio class. Not with partners, but somehow doing the steps or something, it's new and she said its great. It's called dancesport endurance, Of course it totally conflicts with the yoga dh and I can do together...

I'm going to take BerryBlondeBoys's lead and write up my plan for the week. It's really interesting seeing what other people do and take ideas from it. The Dancesport Endurance class sounds really cool, shame it clashes with your yoga though.

Monday - Swimming and BL workout DVD
Tuesday - Hydro dance
Wednesday - Walking
Thursday - Swimming and spinning
Friday - possibly hydro jog
Saturday - Workout DVD
Sunday - undecided

You know, this thread is totally keep me accountable with keeping at it. It is so easy to say, "eh, maybe I'll skip today" and before you know it you are down to exercising just a couple times a week.

Back from spinning. It was great. This gym is the only of the three that has newer bikes and a computer, so you can see how many watts (kilowatts?) you've added up. A lady I know was there. She had said before that she tries to get between 50-80 and she doesn't understand how sometimes she can only get to 50 and other times 80 when she seems to be working as hard each time, but the pace, climb, speed of the songs all matter. One instructor could do more speed at lower resistance and another at slower speed at higher resistance and it adds up differrently. Anyway, I was had to see I got to 54.5. I wrote it down as a note on my phone and now I can compare. I had gotten 38.8 for a 45 minute class in November (and since then have taken the class a few times at the gym wherer they don't have the computers, so I have no idea the wattage).

Anyway, keep it up gals!

Tomorrow - yoga as planned and it seems for surer I'll be doing the dancesport endurance on Thrusday as my dh will be skiing that day and can,t make yoga class anyway.

I think I will make a new thread for each month we go along. Even in my head, I'm having to figure out about where I should be at the end of each month. If you a counting by hour, it should be 20.8333 hours a month (so 21 hours a month). For minutes, it would be 1250 per month. We are just about halfway through January, so that should have us around 10 hours or 625 minutes... So check yourself from there.

I know I had a slow start and I also know there will be some months I have more time to exercise than others. Like, in August we are going on vacation - not much exercise. December is a crazy month, so not much exercise that month either, so I will need to make some other months count for more. Spring and fall are the best for me for squeezing in more exercise. I do a lot of gardening, bike riding and such then, so those hours will add up faster.

It was hard for me to jump back in this December as I had taken most of December off from exercise and man, that made classes that much harder come January.

I think that having separate threads for each month is a wonderful idea!

295 + 85 today = 375minutes so far

Did swimming and aerobic workout today.

Gotta keep on it to make this months mini goal then. I started late, so hoping a good week this week will help me make up some time! I know every month will be slightly different, but I'd still like to end January as near to on track as possible!

Still have to leave out the hand/arm exercises. Between pilates videos, bike, and treadmill I have done 5.25 hrs since my last post for a total of 15.75 hrs.

Slim CB 01-17-2012 08:22 AM

Up to 453 minutes today - Elliptical - 35 mins, Stairmaster - 15 mins

tdiprincess 01-17-2012 12:50 PM

Today I did 1 hour at the gym and an hour of decent cleaning.
