I thought I could hear that sweet zill music!

My friend gave me the "Belly Dance in a Box kit" -those ones you get at Chapters - cute!- and a sarong for my birthday.

Thanks for the Birthday wishes!

It was a tiny box that was red and white... it had a tiny book of instructions for some basic movies and included some recommendations for music and came with a pair of zills

They are usually up front near the lines for the cash -there are tons of kits...Zen kit...Feng shui in a box...chinese take out in a box...yoga in box...tons of other topics too...

They would probably make great stocking stuffers at Christmas.

Last night in class we were doing combinations...
3/4 shimmies, walking shimmies, then a turn, shoulder shimmies, and fast shimmies while going down a bit...plus arms...plus zils....OOOH!!!
And we did walking mayas with zils, and mayas in place for AN ETERNITY...my thighs are so sore and tight today!!!!! After another year or so of this-I better start getting a nice butt, let me tell you! ha ha ha

I am not sure yet...I am so busy sewing for the dance workshop, as wel as the ren faire, Halloween...I am trying to get Jason's stortrooper armor done in time for Halloween. His birthday is in a couple of weeks and I got him the "voice changer" for his trooper armor. We might try to make it up there though-I'll ask him.

Cool! If you do go I am working at on-site registration -stop by an say Hi- it would be great to meet you

BTW I hear that Daniel Logan and a few other Star Wars stars will be there.

Daniel is such a cute kid! guess he is more of a teenager now! We took him and his grandmother with us to see the Spiderman movie when we were at Star Wars Celebration, he was really nice and his gran was such a sweetie.

You lucky duck...Jason would have given his...well, you know-to go see a movie with a SW actor!
I just got two new videos-The Ancient Art of Oriental Belly Dance Volume One and Two...she is a very respected dancer in the belly dance community. I have heard that she is a very good teacher, but the video quality isn't real good. (sound, lighting, etc.)
That really happens a lot with videos by really great belly dancers-Dolphina and the twins have wonderful production in their videos, but they are beginner level-when you get into more advanced videos by belly dancers-it always seems that they can't put a whole lot of money into the production of it...sad really, but it IS a limited market.
I will watch/do them this week and let you all know what I think.

Yeah well, just don't tell him I went out drinking and dancing with Richard LaParimitiere and Jerome Blake one year

Those videos sound cool - I would love to hear your reviews.

I may try to look for those other two Dolphina videos when I am down in the U.S.

We were at the hotel party with Peter Mayhew Firday night at Celebration and we have pics with him...I swear he was more excited about that than sex! lol
He has tons of pics of me in the costume contest with Anthony Daniels and Warwick Davis...he was so excited about that...he showed them to everyone.

Cool Sounds like the party was a lot of fun. Peter Mayhew seemed like a really nice person too!

The funniest part of the party was some of our pictures of some of the 501st members drunk laying out on the hallway floor of the hotel...it isn't every day you get to see and take pictures of "on the floor drunk" stormtroopers!
Yeah, Peter Mayhew was really nice, and I am so impressed at how respectful SW fans are...everyone waited patiently in line to see the "big ticket" starts like Carrie Fisher, and the smaller stars were totally able to walk around and go to the parties without being mobbed all night. Everyone was great-and treated them like one of their pals-no need for body guards or anything.

Hee, Hee...yup you don't often get to have drinks with Stormtroopers! The guys from the 501st were great!

I had a great time there and most of the people were really nice. They just seemed to be so exited to be there! It was a lot of fun and I am hoping to be at the next one.
