So my pants behaved today! I'm between sizes at the moment- 18s are too big but 16s are still quite snug so I'm wearing both. So my pedometer didn't get squished between the tight pants and muffin top. I didn't have that great of a workout but I got in almost 7k steps just at work. I love having an active job. It's how I lost the first 30lbs. I went from being a cube rat to a job that although it is considered a desk job, I spend at least 30-40% of my day walking around. I know it's not possible for everyone, but a job that lets you move around is really the best.

Hey, it's almost Friday! Wooooohoooooo! How was everyone else's day?

Thanks for the suggestions! I think I have an unfair advantage in this challenge since I walk all day for my job. I almost forgot to add the bonus steps. Well I'm sure my weekly average will be normal though since I tend to lay around the house most of my weekends lol!

Hi Everybody, this is my first challenge, and I'm looking forward to getting to know you all. Happy Stepping

I also have a job that requires alot of walking which is great, today started TOM, but I did not let it stop me, had to get in my steps. In fact I think it helps with my cramps, but all my body wanted to do is curl into a ball, I have the worst cramps and leg pain, lucky for me it's only on the first day, so tomorrow should be a breeze.

Well Happy Friday to all!!

TOM stopped by to visit me on wednesday when I had to weigh in so of course I was up 4 pounds lol oh well. I've found that exercise really does help me get through it better too. It looks like I'm not the only one who walks all day, awesome! It's just to bad that I'm not allowed to wear sneakers to work it would make things so much more comfy. Well, off to work for me!

Lewis~ I wanna go hiking!!! Have fun!!!

enchant & Gypsy~ You should figure out what your daily average is and then challenge yourself to get more steps each day.

Institches~ Welcome!

Much much better steps wise yesterday. I got in a C25K workout which really gave me a boost. I'm feeling a lot better now and really wanting to push myself this weekend to get right back on track.

Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Must have been a week for strange apparel. My pedometer kept falling off and would dangle by the strap I use to keep it from hitting the floor. After a couple of times I would check to see where it was but I was busy and would forget.

Hi to all the new people!!

I hope everyone is doing well today! I feel good that I got lot's of steps yesterday, not the 10000 but getting there! I went to bed at 9pm and woke up at 4am. I stayed up for a bit and then went back to bed until 7:30. I was coughing a lot too! But I continue to suck on Halls and drink lots of water. I'm hoping to have an even better day walking wise.

KimL1214~ I figure my average without trying each day is somwhere around 8,000, on working days that is. breaking 10,000 on those days is a slight challenge but not bad so I guess next week I'll up it to maybe 12,000!

carrielyn~ That happened to me a bunch of times the past few days and today I noticed for the first time that I kept walking on the back bottom of my pants legs. I guess even though I havn't lost to much weight I've lost inches and my pants are dragging now lol!

me4life~ Happy Birthday!!! And congrats on entering onederland! Hopefully I'll be there soon!

ConfessorSiuan~Hang in there! The only thing that ever throughs me off track with my exercise is a cough but I've found that lots of hot liquids and AT LEAST 8-9 hours sleep a night really helps me get over it faster. Oh and taking vitamins helps too. Take care!

~~I've been doing the couch25k program for a few weeks now so the days that I run seem to help me get a lot more steps in. It was really hard at first but I'm loving it so much now that I find myself fighting the urge to go run on my off days now lol! I hate doing it on the treadmill though it gets so boring, outside is much better. Tomorrow is my gym day for lower body weights, Am I sick that I actually love working out this much? Goodnight everyone!

Good morning girls,
I had a quick question.....were are the bonus step list? I did weights yesterday, and I don't know how much bonus I get to count... thanks.

oh, and for any of you that are motivated by competition...I am going geocaching/hiking today, and that is where I really rack up my steps! So keep your pedometers close! (I probably just jinxed myself, but I hope not!) LOL, actually, it is usually because we get a little lost on the trails!!! HAHHAHA- The really sad part is we have, and are supposed to be following a GPS! Sad, i know

Anyway, I hope everyone has a really great day where ever you are!

May the steps be with us!

lewisempire wow I'm jealous! I've always wanted to go hiking but unfortunately my friends and boyfriend are all antifitness, antiactivity, antimovetomuchawayfromthecouch lol! Maybe someday. Here's the post with the details of the challenge including bonus steps! http://3fatchicks.com/forum/showthre...43#post2669543

Enjoy your hike! I think I'm going to head to the park today it's the only way I'll be able to get anywhere near my step goal on a weekend.

omigosh! I know this thread isn't for running but since I'm chatting with you all I just had to share! I did my run/walk today which is about 2 miles. The first time I did it in just over 31 minutes, the next time 30, then 29, then 28:12. Today I have a new record! 26:48! WOOHOO!!! I'm so happy to be seeing progress it's awesome! I'm only up to about 6,000 steps so far today and I have a feeling I won't be getting to 10,000 but that's ok it can't kill my buzz today! YAY!
