Well, at least I've started. It was a nice walk this morning. I'm enjoying the light this week before they throw that early time change at us and plunge me back into blackness.
  • I did 4. 01 on the treadmill yesterday afternoon!

    March Goal: 90 fitness miles
    Miles completed: 17.11 miles
    Miles remaining: 72.89 miles

    Have a great week!

  • 4.15 this morning - i'll update totals on sunday
  • I just ran/walked 4 miles, so that puts me at 7/55 so far!

And Wanda, I started running when I was at 222 lbs. (I used the Couch to 5K program on coolrunnings.com). If you are interested in running, you should give it a try!
  • I started running at 260, so you can never be too fat as long as you take it gently!

I did 7 miles with running club tonight, which takes me to 36.1/125 and 32 miles in the past 3 days. I'm having a rest day tomorrow
  • Helen, your stats are amazing! You are such an inspiration!
  • Quote: March 4
Walking around the house to get those last few hundred to reach 10,000 for the day

    10,010 (!)

    That's 35,710
    March 5
    Pedometer malfunctions
    4100

    that's 39,810
  • Goal - 50
    Done - 7
    Left - 43

Cold with wind chills around -4! so cut it to 3 instead of 4 miles.
  • UPDATE:

    March Goal: 90 fitness miles
    Miles completed: 22.22 miles
    Miles remaining: 67.78 miles

I got on the treadmill after a REALLY busy day yesterday, fully intending to only do 1 mile. I guilted myself into staying on for 55 minutes, which was 3.11 miles! Hoping for another long workout today, since I leave for Kansas City (professional conference) tomorrow until Sunday. I want to have at least 18 miles done this week (another challenge I'm involved in) and I'm a bit over halfway there.

    Have a great week!

  • argh! my reply disappeared! oh well--

I am new to running and newer to the forum. I have started the couch to 5K program and I am completely hooked. I am forcing myself to go every other day and stay on track but I want to keep running! I am loving it!

Anyway, on Monday I did W3w1-- I cannot believe that this time last month I couldn't run for longer than 30 seconds at a time, and now I can run for three minutes at a time! Unbelievable. Can't wait to go again today, although i was pretty surprised when I used the online pedometer thing to chart my distance and saw that it takes me about 35 minutes to run/walk about 2.5 miles. I thought I was going much farther. Oh well, I will get there someday.

Any other runners from the South? i am so worried about what will happen when it is 85 degrees at 7 in the morning with 86% humidity.
  • New UPDATE: I just finished 4 miles of WATP!!

    March Goal: 90 fitness miles
    Miles completed: 26.22 miles
    Miles remaining: 63.78 miles
  • Just finished 3.5 miles for today!

    March Goal: 55
    Miles completed: 10.5
    Miles to go: 44.5
  • Great challenge. I'm committing to 60. I typically get to walk (treadmill at gym) only 4-5 days a week and get in about 3 miles each time.

    18 down
    42 to go

  • Just over 7 miles tonight:

    43.4/125
