Got DS off and striped his bed and the stuff is in the dryer and then when I get it back on I will go to bed! DH went off with his mom to see his dad to day at the nursing home. Gotta get some last work done outside before I can put some Christmas stuff out. Strill working on presents too and cards.

Ate too many cookies last night, they were realy crunchy and good! But I did exercise too!

Anagram, hope things get better for all of you. Christmas cards? I'm jealous. I know that I need to get started. My son wanted to put up one of the trees this weekend, but we didn't. Maybe Thanksgiving weekend. I guess I should think about shopping too.

Cards are about the easiest thing for me to do so I usually try to get them out of the way. But I've baked two batches of holiday nut roll (need to do one more) and hit a craft fair yesterday that netted me more gifts than I expected to get. Also had ordered some things from a catalog for the granddaughters. Not done w/them yet. But have some things for daughter's birthday, some for Christmas for her and DIL. It's those guys...........I have three to buy for plus dh birthday yet. But I'm way ahead of usual and don't have many to buy for. Also have gifts for 2 sisters and a friend. ( What I had before last weekend is also wrapped.) Won't decorate until after the crew leaves after Thanksgiving (unless they want to do it while they're here I have no shame. Lots of appointments again this week. takes so much to keep the old body running anymore.

Have a happy successful week, all.

Glad to hear from you Anagram. I hope you can get to Fl-you are not far from the auto train-I have to get some of my shopping done before we leave 2 weeks from today. I am supposed to go to Nashua tomorrow and then I will finish that part. Went to see stepgrandaughter. It was good. I am feeling stuffy-gotta get some zinc in me/ I could get a flu shot from Brad's doc but I have to call my doc to see if I am at risk-I would think wheezing counts. I get wheezy from Christmas trees. We won't have one this year but Mike will. Bye for now. Mima

Good to hear from you Annagram. Glad you got good news from your tests but it's frustrating to get 'no' news ... I hate not knowing what wrong!

Having a spell with IBS and anemia again. I'm so weak I can barely go. My friend is wanting me to help her paint the church kitchen this week. I'm not sure I have the energy!!! I'm going to try to get my Christmas village put up this week, don't want to leave it 'till next week ... it will take all I can do to get Thanksgiving dinner and housework, etc. done! I also wanted to get some baking done this week. Seems like the older I get the more there is to do. It's not supposed to be this way - I thought 'stuff' was supposed to SLOW DOWN as we get older!

My van is still in the shop so I have no wheels - they still don't know what's wrong with it. We turned the rental car in last night as I didn't really need it for a few days. Guess I'll have to go get another one about Thursday evening if mine isn't fixed. I hate not having a car ... it's just the fact that I CAN go if I want to!

I went to Penney's yesterday afternoon ... they had a big sale on if you used your Penney's card after 4 p.m. I got 65% off on a coat, a dress, a suit and a wool blazer ... got all that for under $200 ... including tax. The coat alone was regularly priced at $159. I done good! (By the way ... everything was 10s and 12s and the coat was a medium! I went from an extra large to a medium! I still can't believe it ... somebody pinch me!)

Good shoppimg, Meme. I think I am finally getting a flu shot-we have our names on a list and I have the diagnosis of asthma and Brad has heart problems and diabetes. I hope they have the clinic before we leave!!! I didn't feel well yesterday-sinus, wheezing. So I didn't tutor. I am going shopping today with a friend. Hope I hold up since I have been up since 4. Brad put heat into the bathroom-very nice. Then i noticed the jets in the tub were b;ack so I sprayed them with mold stuff-have to clean them before I take a shower. Then my creamer spilled in the frig-the one that I ckeaned thoroughly-have to clean that-the cream,er traveled all the way to the bottom. So exciting. Have a good day. Mima

Have a headache ... and the gas men are hear hammering, drilling and sawing! Putting in a bigger gas pipe for our new water heater. Were getting one of those new 'on demand' water heaters ... our old one has a leak. The new one will go on the wall and since the bathroom tile in the basement doesn't go all the way under the old heater (which will come out) - I told hubby I want new tile in the bathroom and utility room and for him to build me shelves under the stairway for my Christmas present. There is currently a MESS under there ... it's in the utility room and there's a table there with my laundry supplies on it and junk under it. I want him to block part of it off and build me some shelves at the top and storage at the bottom ... he's an excellent carpenter, that's what he did before he became a toolmaker. Looks like I'll be doing a lot of painting! I want to paint that wall in the utility room when he puts the tile down ... the other wall is paneled ... I need to paint some ceilings (my bedroom especially) and we're supposed to go paint the church kitchen tonight and Thrusday night. That new water heater is supposed to be able to heat water to do three things at a time ... like two people taking a shower and the dishwasher or the washing machine running all at the same time. I don't know how it works ... it's just a BOX that heats the water as it runs through it ... weird. We got the big one in case we ever have to have one of hubby's parents move in with us. You never know!

Sami will be happy ... the bathroom downstairs is her room in the winter when the weather is really bad! With the water heater off the floor, she'll have more room (and a new floor)!

Default Hey There

Mima- I am always fighting mildew in my bathroom too. Not the rest of the house thank God.. It has cooled down some. Just pleasant days now. No rain though..We need it here.
Meme- My daughter has one of those water heaters . She had to change a shower head in one of the B/R. The water would not stay warm. I was taking a shower and suddenly it was cold. I mean cold they have well water..My sil said it was because the water wouldn't run fast enough through that shower head. I hope he fixed it. I hhhhave to use that room next week.
I had my last check up after surgery. Everything is fine. Benign. Now I have to lose the weight I gained..I need motivation to get back into my routine of walking..

Joanne ... just how much weight did you gain? Here's some motivation for you ... just think - if you don't lose what you gained this time - you may gain more over the Holidays and then you'll weigh even MORE than you do now!!!

That's a possibility with those type of water heaters. If you don't have enough water running through them they don't kick on and heat the water. That way, if you have a small leak, they don't run out hot water. But that shower head must not have been running much hot water out of it though for it not to have been heating it at all! Sure hope we don't have any problems ... no turning back now! Already have the new gas line in and the heater is paid for!

Meme, you are absolutely right about that holiday gain. I've been so proud of myself over the past few years by only gaining a pound. Hope to do it again this year, or even lose!!!!!

Good luck to everyone with their hot water!!!! We are now having dryer problems. The man was here this morning about it. He needs to order a part, then he'll be back on Friday to fix it. Fun.

Good morning. I thought those water heaters sounded interesting. Hope it works. We got flu shots yesterday. Brad's doctor had ordered some privately and they were nice enough to include me. I have been on a hunt to find 3 of my stepgrandchildren. I got the bright idea to e-mail the school they went to and the guidance counselor gave the e-mail to the youngest one who is still there. Then the mom left me a message but the phone number didn't work. Frustration. Lo and behold, i got an e-mail from her-my address was on the letter. So we can go from there. Getting a manicure and pedicure today. i need to relax. I still need someone to work at the craft booth Sat so I can have lunch a some time off. Everyone is so busy. Oh well, God has answered my other prayers so He will again. Appliances are great if they work!! The one I couldn't do without is the dishwasher. Mima

Default Hey There

Meme- I gained over my goal weight. Not good as it is so hard for me to lose.. I did get on the T/M yesterday for 40 min. Weigh in tonight.. Cross your fingers. I don't think I will eat or drink all day..
Tammy- What grade level do you teach? My hubby is a retired teacher. My daughter has 20 years under her belt..both elementary. He taught for 30 years and she is planning on going for the same. She has her masters and is planning on working on her PHD.
Mima-We haven't gotten the flu shots yet.. I will call my Dr. again and see if there is any hope. I refuse to stand in the lines of hundreds here in Fl. Then get to the front and find out it was hours for nothing.
Got to get busy .See you all later..
