A great deal of terrific advice!
I'd like to add, journaling. Keep a diary or blog or whatever floats your boat. Track your food, how do feel, physically and mentally after eating x or y or whatever. Does pasta bind you up? Maybe apples are great! Maybe processed food is Satan for you. Take a good hard look at the ingredients in any food that is not natural/fresh, and look for trends in how your body reacts to it.
Track the moods of the family, track your moods, did you watch the news and get depressed, was your hubby in a bad mood, was your son being a pain or happy or what ever. How does their moods behavior relate to how you feel.
Track how you feel after exercise. Better, for a bit but bad the next day and so on.
And an odd one, but seriously, track the weather and how your body feels. The barometric pressure can have a huge impact on how your body feels. I learned this from my Orthopedic surgeon.
Basically track every darn thing. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly!

Do this honestly and objectively, the point being to go back after a month/3 months/6 months, and look for trends. Doing this long term, helps to identify how your emotions, mind and body respond to daily life, food, activity, weather, family, etc.
After doing this for awhile, studying the trends will give you insights to how everything around you affects you and you can make the appropriate adjustments.
