Hi, all. Sounds bad your way, Ally. we're to have snow/sleet tomorrow but nice (slightly chilly) today. Did outside walk and some moderate gardening. Enjoyed baby shower yesterday. Ate cake, of course, but was moderate on all else.
Mima, so sorry about your necklace. I lost good pearls that dh gave me and, 11 or so years later, am still mourning them. And they weren't even for my engagement! Hope they show up soon. Did you get to the art museum tour?
Everyone sounds like winter has been too long. We had a foot of snow on Friday. Thank goodness it is going quickly.
Walking on treadmill almost everyday but only 10 mins. Having lots of muscle pain.
Got a contractor lined up to add on at the lake. Will be glad to just get a bathroom so we can stay overnite. Getting it closed in and will then wait to see exactly what we want.
With the West Nile virus - the next most important thing will be
getting a screened in porch for the grandkids to play in.
We had about 4 months of mosquitoes last year, so it will become a necessity.

Hi guys-no cross yet-we are getting snow again but not too bad-I'll try to get out for awalk today even though my hip hurts. Watched Sweet Home Alabama on our new DVD player. It was cute. It was 84 degrees here yesterday. You people with winter yet ,I hope it ends soon. It is cloudy today and we do need some rain. 20% is all that is predicted. We probably won't get any.. I walked yesterday and suffered last night. I think I walked too fast because I just wanted to get done.

Mima- I really hate losing things. I lost a silver medallion from Sicily that was brought back during WW2, from my key chain. I am still sick over it. I should not have had it on the keys. I didn't lose the keys. Someone found a treasure.

That's great for your son, Candice. I never walked yesterday-had a stomache ache and was exhausted-seem better today. We had 3 inches of snow-more tomorrow!!!!!!!!!We got up late because the motor in the oil burner died and Brad had to fix it at 4 in the morning. He had one in the hall but not sure if it's going to last but at least we have heat. It's nice being married to an oil burner man. Bye for now. Mima
That's how I feel about having an in-house tax man, Mima. Got that done for the year. And I did Mom's yesterday. Had four inches yesterday too but roads, sidewalks, etc. melted and are clear today with just the pretty white on the lawns, trees, etc. No good weather predicted 'til at least Saturday.
Well, reluctantly, we're getting ready for dh to go into hospital tomorrow. He had a test done (it's done monthly) that would determine if he can go off dialysis andhe told them he wants results by 2:00 pm tomorrow because he doesn't want to go to hospital or have the surgery and THEN find out he won't need dialysis anymore. I'm sure it's wishful thinking but, then, every once in a while, miracles still happen, don't they?

Hi guys-stomache was fine yesterday-in fact, better than it has been in long time-I have been trying to let things go and it's been working. You can'y believe all the things I have been worrying about and nothing changes by worrying. I'm going to meet an old friend for dinner tonight-haven't sen her in a year!!!And baking Easter cookies for grandaughter and someone else's grandchildren whose mother has colon cancer-going to meet their grandmother-a friend-for breakfast Friday. Anyhow-that's fun . Course, I bought the easy kind.Maybe I'll make others from scratch. Bye Mima
Thanks, Candice. It turns out his nephrologist told him to cancel. About two this afternoon, all packed and all. Some tests got fouled up again. Then there was a lot of hectic about his blood levels, etc. I'm back to giving him shots in the tummy again but probably only two or three this time. I'm exhausted and high at the same time from all the adrenaline.
Weigh in was good. Back down to the low point of my up and down yoyoing. Maybe I can lose a new pound soon.

1 20oz. can crushed pineapple, 2 150z cans of peaches, 1 11oz. can mandarin oranges. A 6oz. container of yogurt, and 4 oz. cool whip. I used a cup of sliced strawberries, and 1 cup sliced green grapes. I imagine you could used any kind of fresh fruit you have and like. I imagine blueberries would be very good. It does make a large batch, but it keeps well. I like it on my cereal in the morning. And it makes a great dessert. Very versatile.
Yummy!!!I had a hard time with Atkins cuz I missed my fruit. Going to the dentist again-this time at the right time-then for a walk with my aunt. Went to dinner with an old friend last nite-had a deliscious piece of haddock. Well, I'm still alive...but still wading through a big mess! Getting through my house is like trying to walk through an obstacle course! I'll be ready for the men to come lay the rest of my carpet next week but they are going to be out of town all week so I have to wait until the 22nd. I don't know if I can stand this mess until then! I've just made up my mind that I'm going to take down all the curtains, wash and iron them, wash the windows and put all the curtains back up; take down all my wall arrangements (that aren't already down from painting) and clean them and put them back up and clean out all my kitchen cabinets and line them with new paper. That way, when I get the rest of my carpet down all we'll have to do is put the furniture back and put the stuff back in the closets and we'll be done with all the spring cleaning, too. Should only take about a week after the carpet is down...so I'm saying by the end of April the whole inside of my house should be like brand new!!! (Except the garage and I just try not to go in there!)
I told hubby...then we can start on the outside in May...he just kind of rolled his eyes up and sighed!

It snowed here last night but didn't stick...thank goodness. It's 38 here now and hurts after being in the 70s last week. It has been raining all day. We are supposed to return to the 70s by the weekend I think. Hope this is the last of the cold weather but probably not. If you don't like the weather in TN just stick around a few days and it will change!

Meme - busy as always! Your house sounds like it coming along nicely. You will have to show us some pictures after it is all done. I washed windows and blinds yesterday, and cleaned out cupboards and my pantry. Feels good to get it all in order again. Today, I am cleaning the kitchen tiles, and everything else in it (fridge etc.). Also, polishing furniture. I don't work until tomorrow.
Work - well I am really enjoying it - now if I could just remember how to work the cash register I would be ok I can't seem to get all those screens through my thick head. I guess time will take care of it. I did buy a couple of new outfits. We are supposed to wear what they sell, so that was ok with me. I will have to make a fast trip out to see my chiro this afternoon. I am having trouble with my internet and so they are coming in the morning to have a look at it. It could be the modem, I guess.

Happy- We have recieved just a light bit of rain. It has turned cool. That is unusual for this time of year for us.
I lost another lb. Now if I can just keep it going down.I didn't walk this week. I have been feeling rotten all week. My stomach has been giving me fits. Maybe that is why I lost. You just can't get away from pain when it starts. I cut out all meds except what I have to take. They were just vitamins anyhow.
